Nestled in Flamingo Lummus, this attractive condo for $673 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This 3 bedroom 2 bath South Beach apartment has a view of the beach and ocean- It has been COMPLETELY remodeled with a flat screen TV in every bedroom. All 3 bedrooms have a Queen size bed- and the master has its own bathroom ensuite. There is an updated full kitchen with cooktop, full size refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The living room has 2 single sleeper sofas Sleeps 6-7 All of the Queen beds are "olympic" queen. They are larger than a standard queen and were special ordered. The Barbizon is perfectly located On Ocean Drive in the heart of South Beach We are across the street from the Ocean waves, spectacular sunrises and colorful shores. The Barbizon is your new home away home- live like a local, and tour the popular streets such as Collins Ave, Washington Ave, and Ocean Drive. You’ll love the LOCATION- It is right across the street from the beach and Lummus Park. Walk to restaurants, clubs, shopping and of course the beach! There are coin operated laundry facilities available on every floor. There is an elevator-and free hi speed wifi and cable tv We have an awesome onsite manager named Helena that everyone loves. If you have never been to South Beach She is a wealth of information and available if you need anything Lummus Park and the beach is right across the street. Wet Willies, Fat Tuesdays, Pink and many other clubs are within walking distance. Walgreens and Publix are close by for your grocery and pharmacy needs The South Beach Local is the cheapest and most scenic way to travel South Beach. The shuttles breezes around South Beach every 10-15 minutes, stopping at numerous bus stops. The shuttle is air conditioned and the fare is only 25 cents. The hours of operation are as follows: Monday to Saturday (7:45am - 1am) Sundays and Holidays (10am - 1am) You can rent bikes, Segways and roller blades right around the corner at Bike and Roll Miami located at 210 10th Street (10th and Collins Avenues) *$20 fee for all check ins after 8pm- $20 early check in fee (if early check in is available) $20 late check out fee (if available) South Beach is a very vibrant and lively city and can be noisy- For guests with young children- we do have a pak n play crib available if needed and reserved but we are NOT child proofed We can accommodate a 7th guest on the single sofa in the living room

Excellent location for accessing South Beach's ocean and nightlife. The baths and kitchen are clean and well laid out, and the washer/dryer, refrigerator, and stove work well. However, if you plan to spend any time in the place, be advised that (1) the fabulous view is marred by the dirtiest windows ever; (2) the "sofas" are low, soft mattresses from which one does not arise without either assistance or notable skill in gymnastics; (3) the floor is dirty, as your bare feet will quickly betray; (4) the wifi is a patchwork of two other apartments' systems and is spotty in the bedrooms; (5) we only checked 2 of the 4 TVs, but one bedroom TV presented the Roku start screen--unresponsive--and would do no more, while the living area TV would only show live programming (no Roku); (6) the frying pan was in such bad shape (detached handle, abraded surface) that we cooked eggs in a pasta pot; (7) the towels were stained, faded, dirty, and no hand towels were provided; (8) the sheets and bed cover/blanket were very poor quality; (9) the mattresses and pillows all needed replacing; and (10) the curtains (sheers and blackouts) were horrifyingly dirty and dragged dust/dirt along the floor. I'm not sure how these things match with the "all new" headline in the VRBO listing. Finally, the furniture layout ignored the ocean view--the dining table was against a wall when it should have been positioned so that all could enjoy the view while breakfasting (so we shifted it, then shifted it back when we left), and the "sofas" faced each other instead of the view (a quick shift into an L-shape corrected that, but again, we returned the original layout). Overall, an expensive, uncomfortable experience.

Overall, I had mostly a good experience, but some bumps in the road. It was very confusing figuring out how to get access to the property. There were 2 contacts, first Lucinda (owner?), then there was Helena (the property manager?). When I called Helena she needed to know the apartment number in order to do anything. She could not look me up by my name or anything else. I did not feel like I was a very welcome guest. She waited the 10-15 minutes while I went through several emails from Vrbo to finally find the apartment number. It was really inconvenient. Then when I got there, the toiletries and towels were very scarce. I would have to request more from her as needed. The toiletries themselves were of very poor quality. The shower pressure was awful. Once I was settled in, Helena was very responsive and accommodated my needs promptly. The space had a mold/mildew smell, and Helena immediately helped me try and solve that by getting a scented device. The space is visually very cool and fun to be in. The location is perfect. You couldn't ask for a better location. However, we are directly above an outdoor restaurant that gets loud on weekend nights. Earplugs are recommended. The living room is comfortable. My bed was very comfortable.

The property is located right in the midst of everything South Beach has to offer..... the building is easily accessible and enticing. The mattresses and bedding seem brand new, clean and comfortable. I cannot say enough about the property manager, Helena. She was immediately responsive to every need we had, and went above board to ensure a fabulous memorable family vacation. I would definitely stay there again.
