Shower could have been better

Lovely location, comfortable accommodation, with friendly and attentive hosts. The hosts have made a lot of effort to deal with load-shedding. The garden is beautiful and well maintained and the cottage is well furnished, with character, and clean.

I was travelling for work, so wi-fi would have been helpful. However I was well warned that the accommodation doesn't have any so I made a plan.

The location - country style atmosphere, The friendliest reception from the owner - Suenette, Duc & DoLitlle is a very spacious cottage. Keeping us informed about loadshedding times. Explaining and describing the property and the water analisys. Owner keeping in contact before, during our stay and afterwards.

GPS co-ordinates must be added to booking sites as the streets do not have names for vehicle GPS (garmin, tomtom, etc) gadgets.Cell phone location was provided.

Beautiful rustic cottage with old world charm. Our hostess was welkoming and provided us with crucial information. The cottage has backup power when loadshedding occurs which is a great plus. Bed is comfortable. There is a lovely veranda where you can have your coffee and enjoy the views.

Shower door does not close/seal properly. The bedroom door needs better insulation.

We had the entire place for ourselves, surrounded by beautiful nature. Suenette, the host, is very lovely and she does everything she can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The last two nights she shared the generator with us during the load shedding.

Unfortunately there isn't wifi and, most of the time, not even the phone signal. So if you are an online worker consider you can't work form home.

Our host was genuine and very helpful. We had no expectations of this quiet location in Joubertina, but we were rewarded with an extraordinarily decorated home (150 years old) and we quickly felt relaxed. Suenette encouraged us to use the facilities and once we got a braai going we were happy to sit out on the porch and watch the stars and slow our speedy lives down a few gears. It was truly memorable and we really had a lovely visit.

Hmmm.. There wasn't anything to dislike. It's a happy place.

Everything was impeccable! Exactly the experience I wanted for a weekend away on my own. The environment was absolutely breathtaking. The cottage was beautiful. The hostess was friendly and lovely to connect with. I felt at home. A slice of heaven.
