About this cabin rental
Welcome to San Jacinto Lodge! This beautiful log cabin has everything you need for a weekend out in the mountains! Notable features include a hot tub, gorgeous views, and is only a hop and skip away from town. Home is classic cabin style with all the modern luxuries. The living room is a great place to gather and spend time with the group/family. The home's large deck is also a great spot and features a gas/propane BBQ, a hammock and a spa with INCREDIBLE mountain views. The home has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms.The master bedroom has a king sized bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen sized beds. An air mattress can be accommodated to sleep up to 8 guests. The home also has a hot tub/spa, which is perfect for star gazing. Short Term Rental Permit # 1252 Rates & Payments: When booking our homes online or by phone, you may use the following payment methods: Debit or any major Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Cancellation fees apply. NO CANCELLATIONS DURING THE MONTHS OF NOVEMBER/DECEMBER. Call us for our weekly/monthly specials. Pets: We (Do ) allow Dogs (2 maximum) (Cats may or may not be allowed depending on the property). There is a $130 pet fee (2 dog max) depending on breed and home; $170 pet fee for bookings between November 1st- January 15th. Stays beyond 3 days, or exceed the 2-dog max, may be subject to additional Pet Fees. IF CATS ALLOWED, it is a flat rate for the duration of stay of $250.00 or $500.00, it is all depending on the property. SPECIAL REQUEST PETS OUTSIDE OF DOGS MUST BE APPROVED BY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO DAY OF ARRIVAL. Guests under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional security deposit of $500 on the day of arrival. ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY APPLY BASED ON NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS. Note: Until confirmed all rates are subject to change without notice. One night stays may be higher. Once one night is booked there is NO CANCELLATION ALLOWED. PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE WINTER HOLIDAY SEASON, (INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS BREAK AND NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY), CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 4:00 PM, AND CHECK-OUT TIME IS 10:00 AM. This cozy cabin was just what our family needed for Christmas. Everything in the house functioned well, except for the dishwasher (which had a problem with the top wand, or the dishes on the bottom shelf were so tall that they blocked the wand from rotating properly). At any rate, we would vacation there again in a heartbeat.

Our family enjoyed staying in this home. It had all the amenities we needed. It was located in a quiet neighborhood, good furnishings, games were provided, the back porch was pretty large with nice tree views, we were comfortable and befriended some Scrub Jays.

There were three couples who rented this lodge for three nights. We loved it. Great area that it is in. Right off road but feels secluded. Very clean. Customer service was excellent. Wood delivered. Turned on lights, turned jacuzzi up for us, and started heater. Very comfortable for the six of us. Parking available for three vehicles up on top. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Celebrated 8th wedding anniversary with husband and son. It was our son's first trip up to mountains and a cabin. He loved it. We loved it.

We had a lovely stay. It was one of our favorite rental choices considering we do short weekends away to Ojai, big bear, etc. for the price, you get a lot. There was some paperwork and normal clean up for check out (would prefer 11am checkout as others have stated) but overall was a very easy process. The deck, hot tub, hammock, outdoor dining table were highlights. Very quiet neighborhood and close to town (do not recommend walking but you could). We would rent again.

Best cabin I have stayed at in Idyllwild and we have stayed at quite a few. Everything was as it should be. Only minus is the paperwork but I imagine this keeps the riff raff from going through the process and them being able to keep their home nice.

Beautiful country home for our weekend with family.
Only thing I can suggest is making the reservation and confirmation process simpler with less paperwork.

Rad cabin in Pine Cove. In the winter, roads aren’t always plowed, so bring chains and/or good snow tires. Fantastic accommodations!

The cabin was nice. We enjoyed the hot tub and there were plenty of extras available like board games and such. We did not end up doing any of them but it was nice to know they were there. The back deck and hammock were used often. I also liked the motion sensor lights. We did not arrive late at night but it was nice to know they were there. Also, don’t let the “parking waver” scare you. There is a steep driveway but there is a second level driveway with room for two cars and steps that lead to the property. Great time.

There are no views as it states in the description. The house is surrounded by trees.
You cannot walk to town as it states in the title of the description. The house is located 7 minutes away by car on windy roads which would be difficult to safely walk on.
The hot tub was scummy. We had to get out within minutes of getting in and did not use it again. The hot tub also cycled all night long, permeating the quiet of the location.
The lighting in the house was rustic and charming but dark the lamps probably had 25 watt bulbs. It was hard to see in many of the rooms.
Lastly, the floors creaked everywhere upstairs. Even my husband complained and he never says anything.
As a home owner who rents property out, I felt the check out procedures were extensive and mostly cleaning crew tasks. Who wants to work all morning on your last day of vacation?
The amount of paperwork required to check in was absurd. There were 3 waivers. All documents were sent in different formats making them difficult to convert and return. The email asked for 3 documents to be returned instead of the 5 they required so I had to find a way to get the other 2 back to them while I was out of town. I was asked 4 times how many people were in my party. The answer was the same each time 3 people and 1 dog. The property managers first said I could buy wood for $25. Then said, there was no wood available because of Covid. But if we used the wood at the property, we would be charged $25. I asked for early check in knowing there was no one moving out that day. Yes I could check in early for $50 per hour. I offer this service as a courtesy to my guests whenever possible. I asked if there was a coffee grinder and was told there was not. But there was a grinder which would have saved me from pre-grinding coffee at home.
These people are not a friendly nor well informed property management company. I would never rent a property from them again.

Although the property was covered with snow during our stay 3/15 - 3/18/21, the cabin itself is a very nice 3 bedroom 2 bath. Large living room with internet TV for streaming (bring your ROKU or passwords for the apps - Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, etc). Comfortable dining for 6 and nice, well equipped kitchen. The spa is a nice touch and we did use it twice even with 35 degree temps! Lots of books, games & DVDs to choose from. Very nice!

The spa is a nice touch and we did use it twice even with 35 degree temps! Lots of books, games & DVDs to choose from. Very nice!

We rented this cabin for thanksgiving in 2020. It is pricey, but the cabin is very nice. However, when we checked in, the cleaners had left the ash bucket from the fireplace indoors, with smoldering coals. The entire cabin, particularly the upstairs, were filled with smoke (not sure why the smoke alarm hadn't gone off). The place smelled of smoke all weekend, it felt like living in a house with cigarette smokers. If not for that, we would've enjoyed the stay. The management company told us, 'too bad' as they kicked us out.

Overall this is a great home in which to gather. There were 5 of us so a decent amount of room and also coziness. Nice touches throughout from a thoughtful owner.We did however experience dust issues and allergic reactions ( 3 of us) so unexpected for sure. Perhaps the heating system was the culprit. And may we suggest new mattresses are in order.
