Mountain Laurel Hideaway- Pet Friendly | Screened Porch | Outdoor Fireplace
About this cabin rental
Located in Mineral Bluff, this charming cabin for $353 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Perched on a hillside in the Mineral Bluffs community of Mountain High, the Blue Ridge cabin rental Mountain Laurel Hideaway is appropriately named: tall mountain laurel trees surround the property, hiding the cabin from view until you're right in front of it. With its warm and inviting atmosphere and a spectacular view of the mountains from inside and out, this wooded oasis will enchant you from the moment you walk through the door. The cabin's all-wood interior is tastefully decorated in a style that combines elegance and rusticity, with a wildlife-meets-Native American décor, the latter a nod to the owners' ancestries in the Cherokee and Choctaw tribes. Huge windows in the main living area bring light and the beauty of nature inside, and ceiling fans provide cool breezes throughout the home. The open-plan great room, with its floor-to-ceiling stacked-stone fireplace, comfy leather couches, and 42” TV with DVD player, ROKU, and Dish Network, is the perfect gathering spot, and the adjacent kitchen is a cook's dream. You'll find granite countertops, stainless steel cookware, toaster oven, blender, waffle maker, Keurig and drip coffeemakers, and a kitchen island with a USB charging station. The dining table seats six, plus two at the island. If you're in the mood for a cookout, there's a Weber gas grill on the screened-in porch, along with a six-seat dining table, stone wood-burning fireplace, a 32” TV, and a porch swing. On the lower deck, there's a hot tub with room for eight, so you can soak and relax while enjoying the magnificent view. For indoor fun, you can head down to the game room to play air hockey, ping-pong, board and card games, or watch the Xbox-equipped 42” TV. The cabin's spacious bedrooms feature Amish-made natural matte finish log beds, luxurious bedding, and matching nightstands and chests of drawers. The main level master bedroom has a king bed and deck access, and the upstairs master has a queen bed and a walk-in closet. Both have pull-down blackout shades for those mornings when you want to sleep in, and private bathrooms with double vanities and large walk-in showers. Downstairs, there are two sets of twin bunk beds in a bedroom perfect for kids, and an adjacent bath with tub and shower. There's also a half bath on the main level. Mountain Laurel Hideaway is centrally located in an area optimized for fun and adventure, whether it's rafting on the Ocoee or Nantahala Rivers, motorcycle riding the 11-mile 'Tail of the Dragon' part of US 129, or hiking the nearby trails. It's less than a half hour drive to downtown Blue Ridge and about the same to Murphy, N.C., home of the Cherokee Casino. Other amenities at the pet-friendly cabin include wireless Internet and a washer/dryer, located on the lower level. This special place offers the best of two worlds: it has all the comforts of a home away from home, and it promises you a vacation you won't find anywhere else. The views were amazing. Beautiful cabin in the woods!! Fresh mountain air, crisp cold water out of the faucets. We enjoyed all the games downstairs with our children. It was so nice having a screened-in patio for our little yorkies while we’re were sitting outside enjoying the sunrise/sunsets. This cabin has the perfect amenities for your getaway. We would definitely stay here again!!

The house was just as nice inside as it looks in the pictures. Very well maintained. Definitely need 4WD in winter weather conditions.

The cabin was very nice and clean, we just happened to hit a time when a neighbor decided to do some home repairs and had air nailers and saws going for 2 days.

Great location. Cabin was perfect size with nice assortment of games, ping pong, and air hockey. Hot tub was enjoyable. Upon arrival, there were three deer in the back yard to greet us... a Buck, a Doe, and a fawn. It was a nice treat. The cabin had everything we needed except laundry detergent and spices for cooking. Make sure to pack some.

First off, it was very clean so that put us at ease. The deck is a lovely place to relax. It has a screened in area that can be locked off so we could let our beagle out there and not worry about him running off. The kitchen has really high quality pots and pans and was great for making meals for a group. Very impressed. Even the spatulas were Calphalon, not cheap ones. We quickly ran out of dishwasher detergent because we cooked so much, so be sure to bring some. The nearest store was Dollar General in Mineral Bluff 15 min away. We went hiking in the Lake Blue Ridge Day Use Area and would recommend it for families and dogs. We wish there would have been a map in the cabin of hiking places and restaurants and stores nearby. The host pointed to their website for that, but the website is for all their properties, so it didn’t show what was nearest to this particular cabin. We used the fireplace twice and appreciated that there were fire starters and plenty of wood. Bring your own coffee and all condiments. The hot tub is big and was heated nicely; the cover needs to be replaced though. The vinyl is cracked, plants were even growing In the creases, and the latches were all broken. Our kids enjoyed the air hockey and ping pong and we all liked the board games. The host left a couple tumbler cups as a gift - that was sweet. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed it very much. We felt safe in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely mountain cabin. The kids loved the hot tub and bunk bed room. The master was large with a great bathroom. We got use out of the kitchen and grill and had everything we needed to cook. The cabin was a short drive to many places on our to do list. Highly recommend!
