This property really is a three bedroom maybe a four if you county the bunkroom. We arrived on there was piles of garbage outside (funky smell) . House was dirty and whoever stayed there left food and beer behind. Half the chairs that were outside we had to fish out of the water. We did have a check out issue with Scott. One of our children left a radio outside and messed up a comforter. He kept our entire deposit and accused us of leaving the place dirty. Well we left it cleaner than when we arrived. The play room is crawling with roaches. Also one of the stairs (underwater) broke and I had to go to Urgent care to get a tetanus shot. Also has an electric stove and low end appliances. I would not recommend this property at all.

Family ski trip
Overall, this was a great property and we would definitely stay here again. The game room was a big hit with the kids, especially when it rained. The property could use a really good cleaning, especially the porch and outdoor areas but the inside was clean. One of the outdoor refrigerators did not work but I think that happened with the group just before us. I would definitely recommend this place for a large family or a group with lots of kids.

A group of Grandparents and 2 Families stayed at this lake house for the weekend. When we arrived, one of fans on 2nd-floor deck had broken blade, was wobbling, and Queen Sleeper sofa in one downstairs bedroom was missing springs. Owner was very responsive, and sent someone to install new fan, and repair sofa springs. However, the fan in the photos over the outdoor sofas was completely missing (just a hole where previous fan had been) we didn't bring up to owner. Game room is AWESOME!! Has nice pool table, foosball, ping pong + also a great video game machine with all the classics, and a speaker you can blue-tooth from your phone. Downstairs room with bunks however was referred to by kids as "the dungeon" - bunks look home-made, from 2x4's, but sturdy - only top bunks were made/ready, which was fine as we only needed 4, and downstairs bedroom is really more of a walk-thru room to downstairs patio, with only a sleeper sofa in it, but does have bathroom that also goes out to downstairs patio. Guest shower upstairs is very low, goes no higher than my shoulder so had to bend over constantly to get under it - shorter people may not mind, but anyone 6-foot or taller will be inconvenienced. There is a kayak that the kids enjoyed and the majority of the boat house was taken-up by the owner's boats, but there is swim platform that even has jet ski/kayak platform that's great. Property is lake-front but at the end of a parcel of lake - very pretty outside with large deck and firepit. Inside many of appliances and lighting are dated and beds pretty old, not very comfortable - one has a picket fence for a headboard, and wife said leaned to the side. As for grills, they do have 2 gas grills and a green egg, but be aware you have to buy your own propane tank, or if use BGE, have to buy your own lump charcoal & you'll need a fire-starter to get it going (recommend 'tumble-weed', b/c BGE's are non-lighter-fluid grill) - lower deck also has great fans to help reduce heat. Place is GREAT overall, but never could find broom, or enough towels, and garbage outside was 75% full when we arrived (no service over weekend, so piled up a bit) - overall GREAT PLACE, beautiful location, just know going-in it's got a few basics that could be remedied by owner to make a really fantastic place!

A group of moms and our teenage kids and friends stayed at this lake house for the weekend. Very convenient to Birmingham. House was beautiful. Big enough for everyone to spread out. Garage area that had games, ping pong, foosball, pool was excellent for kids. Gave them a space to hang out. Very gentle slope to water. Plenty of room on the patio for grilling, enjoying the fire pit or watching the sunset! Owner was very responsive. Sent information about checking in a few days before. Asked if we had any questions. Will definitely come back!

We had a great overall experience at this property. Scott, the owner was wonderful with communication. It accommodated our larger family very well and was in a beautiful location. The game room was in a separate garage outside which was perfect for noise control with teenage boys. Upon arrival the house wasn’t as clean as I usually expect VRBO proprieties to be. The kitchen counters and stove still had crumbs, etc. The property only has 3 main bedrooms, a bunk room, and a room with a pull out sofa. It does not have 5 true bed rooms like stated, so just be mindful of that. The kitchen needed to be updated with cooking utensils and pots and pans to cook for large groups.

lake stay
Unfortunately, the renters before us had a big party and left a big mess and damage to the house. The owner did call and let me know and did the best to get it ready for us. Despite that we had the misfortune of following a not so great renter, we had a wonderful family vacation.
