Great house right on the beach, relatively secluded which was nice!

This house exceeded our expectations! We have already said we will book again (maybe even next year if we can make the dates work). Amazing view, perfect size for our family of 11 and 5 kids with rooms and beds to themselves. We aren’t going to share this house with any of our friends because we want it to ourselves! Haha Our favorite part of the trip was sitting on the back deck drinking coffee every morning and watching the dolphins and waves roll in. God’s creation is truly magical and we got to experience it at The Point! Thanks for letting us make lifelong memories with our crew.

You CANNOT beat the view! Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful, private beach! You can walk, or bike, to restaurants, ice creamery, bakery and coffee/donut shop. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 subgroups. But, did I mention the view?!? It’s more than amazing!

Clean, Cool, Comfortable, Close
Clean, Cool, Comfortable, Close
When looking for a place for our beach vacations, we always look for "The 4 C's"...clean, cool, comfortable, close (to the beach). This location had all 4, hands down. Yes, there are parts that are dated as one would expect with one of the older Blue Mountain Beach homes. However, we had no problems with bugs, everything was in great condition, response from management for one small situation was prompt, and you cannot beat the view. We LOVED being able to walk right out to the beach. There was also plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. The beach items in the garage helped tremendously as well. The Point was a great find for our family!

Have stayed at The Pointe 4 times now since 2015. Love the location! We bring lots of food and family and the house fits us well! The owners enclosed the back hallway and it was a good move. The rental company was very responsive when we couldn't get the cable to work. The kitchen is very well stocked and having the cooler drawers and wine fridge helps with the overflow of food for everyone. There are tons of books, games and puzzles. Blue Mountain is a very special place and I would highly recommend it for family trips - pretty quiet on the beach which is what we look for - no crowds. The owners have bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, a great paddle board AND sea kayak in the garage - which is nice! That said, The Pointe could use a few minor updates, and for 18-20k per week, they should be made. 1. The stairs to the beach are not stable and not safe for older folks. We found a piece of wood in the garage and fashioned a bottom step because the drop-off to the beach was almost 2ft. Some of the steps are loose and the bottom 2 flights of 3 are crooked. We had an 84 and 86 yr old and it was challenging. please tend to this repair as someone could fall. 2. The mattresses need to be replaced in the king rooms and esp the west queen/twin room. All the mattresses have been there at least since 2015. Good quality tempur-type can be found on Amazon for not much investment. Rest is important on vacation. 3. The kitchen faucet needs replacing - it doesn't stop dripping. frankly, the kitchen sink is a confusing puzzle - maybe replace with a simple deep sink. 4. The house is older and very quaint and we like that about it but for a one story, you should be able to turn the AC lower than 72; esp when you are coming in from the hot sun and the only bedding is a sheet and heavy comforter. There must be a way to turn the AC lower and not have the unit freeze. We followed the rule but we were all hot at night. The Pointe is located next to some great homes and we enjoyed meeting the owner neighbors and they remembered us from 2019. Its a fantastic house needing a little love but we would recommend it for young families.

Was so wonderful to be right on the beach and have a lawn for the babies to play. We would have enjoyed a pool but having our own beach area with no crowds was amazing. The home is older and could use some updates, but the kitchen was well equipped and the layout worked well for our group. We would stay there again. We appreciate the opportunity to stay at The Point!
