About this house rental
Located in San Leon, this attractive house for $604 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Family vacation facility 10 minutes south of Kemah, 25 minutes north of Galveston Island. This 5000+ sqft Mediterranean style villa has many amenities including water front view, privacy walls, swimming pool, balcony palapa, 5 bedrooms, 3-1/2 baths, & a close boat launch. Great for multi-family rental. Sleeps 12 to 14 in beds. There are a couple of small rollaway beds that would fit another child each. Contact the property manager for more information. Note: Swimming pool is not heated. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Effective immediately - Due to the consideration of our neighbors, the use of outdoor loud speakers are now BANNED at Tropicali Cove. Parties of more than 15 people are now prohibited. Playing loud music may lead to eviction from the property. Disclaimer: Note to travelers: This is a beautiful wonderful property. Great for making many family vacation memories! However, we feel it's necessary to explain a few things. This property is used as a vacation rental, therefore, everything is not brand new. It is professionally cleaned, all towels and linens are washed after each visit. We do supply many helpful things like, paper goods, trash bags, etc... We like for our guests to have everything they need. We provide pool towels. The pool towels are used by all the guests. They do get worn, they are not perfect. We have dishes, glasses, cookware, all of which are used and we try to replace when necessary, but they are used and are not perfect. The built-in outdoor grill does not function, however we have a portable grill for our guests' use. We routinely clean the grills, but due to the fact that they are outside, they will collect dust and dirt occasionally and might need to be wiped down before use. Lastly, there is a large, beautiful outdoor palapa over the lake. As hard as we try to keep it clean after each guest, because it is out over the lake and there is so much nature around, it is a big attraction for the birds. We have placed a bucket and brush to wipe down what the birds leave. This disclaimer comes from a guest who had expectations of a brand new home or a hotel. Thank you for your understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact the property manager with any questions. Note: All of our beautiful palm trees were killed after a freeze so we had them all removed. Parking is limited to about 6-8 vehicles (depending on their sizes) inside the front gate on the circle drive only. Parking is not allowed in the private drive leading to the property & cars will be towed at owner's expense if parked there & guests may be evicted if not in compliance.

Longtime friends 7th annual slumber party. This property was perfect for our gathering of 12 this year. We are already booking for next year.

Absolutely wonderful but started way before we actually arrived. We had previously booked for a month prior but had to cancel at the last minute due to a close death in the family and the funeral being held during our planned stay. Paul was gracious enough to take this into consideration even though he did not have to as our cancellation was last minute, and helped us with our new reservation which was a month later. After our stay we inadvertently left some property at the space and Paul again stepped in and retrieved it for us so thanks to Paul for being a plus five star host who really sincerely demonstrated care for his guest. Now about the home, it was clean and neat, but the home itself is immaculate, illustrating such beauty inside and such peace outside. We spent as much time outside on the gazebo overlooking the water and in the swimming pool than we did inside. We truly enjoyed the comfort and beauty of the home, the peace and tranquility of the setting and how well it was laid out so much so that we did not want to leave, however I will say that our stay was so enjoyable that we will without a doubt be back. Again, thanks Paul for your understanding, empathy, and great care for the home and us as your guest. You and your property are truly five star!!!!!

We needed a place to stay while our daughters played in a volleyball tournament in League City. It was four couples. We all had our own rooms and we all felt the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool and covered area outside. Paul was very helpful with suggestions for where we could order food to pick up and have for dinner. He made the check in and check out process so easy. He answered all my questions and in a timely manner. We all felt like we had gone on a trip some where exotic!! We were sad we only had the one day but we took advantage of all the time we had there and made some great memories!!

Ideal place for a family gathering with pool, great view of the lake, large Lanai, and covered bbq area.the bar room was the focal point.
The house needs some upgrades: shades for the large windows, locks for the shared bathroom that works, and half bathroom sink with very slow drainage

Paul was very informative and attentive even before arriving! His home is very spacious and family friendly. My children loved every second of their stay. The pool is very clean and sunrises and sunsets are breath taking. It was nice to getaway from our busy lives in the city and enjoy quality family time. Cant thank you enough Paul! We are looking forward to coming back again!!

This property is amazing! So much room for large gatherings. We cooked, we swam, we played yard games and watched the turtles in the pond. Plenty of room for parking and a quiet neighborhood.

Mr Paul/host was very prompt in responding and great with communicating. The Tropicali Cove was an awesome stay. My only gripes was the tv didn’t work in the master bedroom, there was no soap or body wash (I’ve become accustomed to expecting that when traveling) and the outside areas - grill & under palapa should have been washed.

The property overall was great. It had an amazing kitchen and pretty much the entire downstairs. It’s made for entertaining large groups and flows so well with the backyard.
It’s a property you can stay with large groups or even a small family. My wife and I would gladly stay by ourselves and the value beats any hotel in our 30 mile radius.
It’s so close to Pier 6, Gilhouley’s and Top Water…I’d recommend you reserve this place ASAP before the summer is completely booked.

We all enjoyed our stay, some of the kids did a little fishing they caught one and released it but they had fun. It was a cool but the kids enjoyed the pool a little it rained so it was short.

My family and I stayed for New Years eve. The property was clean, quiet and had lots of space for my family. From the private parking to the back yard (amazing) the entire house...we were not disappointed. Every room was PERFECT. The neighbors put on a heck of a fireworks show BTW ☺️.. thank you Paul for your hospitality we will be back

This property was more than we expected. The house was outstanding. The little touches made our stay even more special. We love having paper towels in the bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with enough paper products, dishes, stainless and pans we needed.
We would definitely stay here again.

I rented this home in early Oct for a girls weekend with several friends. We had a great time.
While the house was very clean and spacious, the pool was sparkling, there are several reasons why we can't give this property a 5 star review. We knew from the listing that the decor was out of date and that was never an issue - but we expected to be comfortable, have outdoor seating, beach chairs and beach towels as described in the listing amenities.
The host Paul offered a 10% discount off the room rate for another 2 night stay, in exchange for a 5 star review, but I don't think there is any value in this offer because we wouldn't rent this house again, and it's not a 5 star property.
Paul also offered to give me a 5 star review as a guest in exchange for a 5 star review of the property, which again, I can't with any honesty give a 5 star review.
It's clean, it's spacious, very private, and has a great view out back of the lake. We had a marvelous time. But...
The only room/area that had enough seating for all of us to be together at the same time was the dining room, and the first night one of the legs came off a dining chair when my friend sat on it. We were lucky she wasn't injured.
There wasn't enough seating outside for all of us to hang out together at the same time, and the pool loungers in the photos are not there. Paul said they are in the process of replacing the outdoor furniture and he put some "old school" loungers near the pool but they looked kinda gross so we didn't bother.
I wish we had brought our own camp chairs so we could have all sat outside together.
There didn't appear to be any pool towels, but there were plenty of bath towels we were able to make due with, and we ended up buying our own towels at the local Target to get us through.
There are no king size beds on this property and only one queen. I wish I had paid closer attention to this in the listing. Most of the beds are twin or full. The quality of the beds is pretty terrible. They are old, noisy, and offer no support. They were uncomfortable and only the queen bed got anyone a good night's sleep.
The living room area has 3 armchairs, a small loveseat, and 2 big bean bag chairs, no sofa. If you're not comfortable on bean bag chairs there may not be enough seating for more than 6 grown ups.
We didn't expect luxury but we expected more than what we got for the price, which is now $200 more than we paid.
Unless something drastic has changed it's still not 5 stars.

We are 6 couples over 60 and been renting properties at various locations every yar for the past 40 years. This on is one is one of the best rentals we stayed at.
House is very spacious and has a lot of outdoor space to relax. Some of the beds were squeeky and the half bath sink was draing very slowly. Overall, we really njoyed the stay. Property manager (Paul) was very prompt with enquiries.
I may go back with just my family in the near future.

The house was perfect for our family of 10. Each couple had their own bedroom. The house was very nice and spacious. The pool and backyard were great!! We had a few issues that came up during our stay. But Paul, the manager of the home was great!! He made sure we received what was needed promptly. He responded in a very timely manner. Location was close to Kemah and NASA. We had a wonderful time.
