The Hostal was situated in a quiet area and just a short walk down the road from the main bit and beach. They have a laundry service on site which was also nice.

The room was dirty when we arrived. It was not a sealed room either. The aircon was situated in a piece of stereo foam on the wall but it was not fit into the actual wall so there was open space all around it. We saw ants straight away when we arrived all over the room which made it difficult to have any kind of food in the room. We put a banana peel in the bathroom trash can one night and by morning there were a ton of ants all over and when i went to the bathroom in the morning without realising they were there, they were all crawling up my legs. It was a bit stressful.

Friendly staff. Family run hotel. Big room with balcony. Very clean. Good value. 2 minutes walk to the beach

Juan Carlos is a great host from taganga who helped us a lot during our stay at his hostal.We even left our bike and laptop while we were away in the jungle for a couple days at his place with no charge. Definitely, I'm going back there.

We couldn't cook even though is supposed to be a hostal.

The host was amazing, gave us so much information, even walked us around town to show us where things where, and recommended a good dive shop. Great location, 30 second walk to the beach. Air con in room and wifi worked well

Bathroom completely dirty not cleaned at all after guests before. You can find much better in Taganga for the price of that “hotel” - if you can call it like that. If you want to pay by card you are informed that price is 6% more which makes it even more expensive. We complained about the doors to the balcony are not closing at all, answer: “ it is like that and never happened anything “ that shows how they care if something would happen. Try to find something else if possible.

It's a place that is still under construction, so there's dust all over. But I think they'll put everything in order eventually.

Taganga itself isn't the nicest place on the coast but if you must stay there then I'd suggest there's better options. First night fought off 3 large cockroaches in the room, two managed to get out but unfortunately one didn't survive, woke up the next motning to see an army of ants making work on the carcus. Found out later than both were living in the walls of the room. Room was facing the street and was loud at times, someone was having a party until 4am, I might as well of been there. And theres zero water pressure, I mean it trickles, if you want a shower it's going to take a very long time, they could at least leave a bucket, would have rather used that. Ps, there's no restaurant.
