About this house rental
"Pacific Pearl" is a low-set near new house set in a large garden surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants right on the beach. All yours, 3 bedrooms, massive wheel-chair friendly en-suite, bathroom, separate toilet right on kilometres of dog friendly beach. Protected by Fraser Island, this is a very safe beach with calm waters ideal for swimming, SUP's, kayaks, fishing, children and dogs. Your furry friends are welcome inside and we provide 2 stainless steel bowls and dog towels. The yard is completely fenced with colourbond and timber fencing all around the property. The house was built with guests with mobility issues in mind and the en-suite has an open shower and all internal doors are 92cm and external doors from every room are sliding doors onto the patio that surrounds the house on all 4 sides. The 860sqm property is fully fenced and welcomes dogs. Situated right on the beach you have a path through 50m of native bushland to the sand and the tranquillity of this place is just unbeatable. Toogoom means "Place of Rest" and that's what "Pacific Pearl" is all about: relax, enjoy, unwind. Toogoom is a quiet neighbourhood with a corner shop/ take away, chemist, hair dresser and postal outlet 500m from the house. The boat ramp at Beelbi Creek and two beautiful restaurants (Goody's and Salty Squid) are 2.5 km away. You can walk there along the beach, rest at the community park and playground on the way or try the Nature Reserve at O'Regans Creek. Shellcot Street is a 'local traffic only' 40kmh street and very quiet. 12 minutes drive to major shopping centers with Woolworths, newsagent, butcher, bakery, medical centre, chemist, petrol station, dollar shop, take away etc. and 15m into the heart of Hervey Bay. Enjoy everything the bay and Fraser Island have to offer (you'll find a shelf full of tourist information brochures, updated regularly). All three bedrooms have their own reverse cycle air-conditioning unit, a large window plus a sliding door to a patio, air-conditioning in open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area, microwave/convection oven /grill, dishwasher, filtered water from tap, 2 sofas, DLUG, laundry with front loader and clothes dryer, 2 TV's, DVD player and a selection of movies, 2 CD players/ radio, desk, board games, outdoor games (Bocce, Frisbee, Totem Tennis), outdoor shower for after the beach, sunscreen provided, doggy towels, 2 stainless steel dog bowls, backyard large enough for tent if necessary, all windows tinted against the glare. Closest big supermarkets close at 5pm on Saturdays so you may want to do an online Coles / Woolworths order and have it delivered to the house. Beach wheelchair and key for all abilities playground available from Fraser Coast Council. We provide: towels all linen, extra blankets shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, shower gel hairdryer toilet paper, Q-tips, cotton buds mozzie spray, mozzie coils, candles sunscreen laundry powder garbage bags, cleaning products salt & pepper, oil & vinegar, coffee & assorted teas, sugar, fresh milk on arrival day filtered water from tap dish-washing liquid, dish-washing powder for dishwasher, tea towels, sponges indoor and outdoor games some books, sudoku / puzzles and magazines (you're welcome to swap them) 2 stainless steel dog food / water bowls, doggy towels, pooper scooper

A wonderful property for family and pets. Our dog Milo loved the backyard and chasing the butterflies. Access to beach is easy. A well laid out house with plenty of room.
Air conditioning was a plus. Would love to come back again.

Had such a great time at this beautiful place! Loved the closeness of the beach for our morning walks with the family and our fur babies. Beautiful open plan living and the games/dvds and dog toys were a lovely touch. So relaxing. Great communication and essy check in and out process. A fantastic time had by all and would love to stay again!

Thank you Christina for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. It had everything we needed. Super clean, comfy beds and ample cookware etc. Aircon was great too. I noticed that some people weren't happy to not have a BBQ, but the George Foreman grill was ample. Also the convection microwave was all we needed in the kitchen. There were awesome little touches everywhere which made her place feel like a home away from home. I noticed the place was for sale, if only we could afford to buy it. Thank you again Christine.

Everything was as promised lovely and clean all amenities were in working order. The backyard and gardens perfect for my furry babies.proximity to the beach will bring me back again overall I would definitely recommend this property especially for those with dogs loved it.

Nice place, right at the beach. If I had to say anything negative it would no ceiling fans. Pretty hot place and no sea breeze due to the tree line between the house and the beach. But air cons in every room and yes they did get used.

This pet friendly/ wheelchair friendly residence is by far the best absolute beachfront accommodation so far because there’s no public thoroughfare only people who live there which means there’s a whole lot of beach out of the backyard gate and beautiful calm waters for you and your furkids to enjoy. Absolute paradise

The property is located in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance to a local beach which is great for a morning jog and sea breeze. Life is good at the beach!
The accommodation itself is clean, immaculate, and well-apointed with all the amenities you'd expect including access to a garage. Christina put in considerable thoughts around the choice of fixtures and decors, to make sure they complement the house not just aesthetically but functionally as well.
The kitchen is equipped with a good size fridge, dish washer, microwave and kettle, as well as all cooking utensils, pots and pans. The bathrooms are very spacious and fully tiled which makes for easy cleaning and access. All the rooms come with an air-conditioning unit however a lack of PV solar means a potentially high CO2 footprint.
There's ample supply of fresh linen and towels for the occupants including any fury pets you may have in tow. We brought our cat along with us and she absolutely loves the yard but be careful not to let the pets wander off into the woods just outside the fence as there are ticks about.
Toogoom itself is in close proximity to Eli Water shopping centre, Hervey Bay and K'gari Getaway. Location wise this makes for a great base for day trips around the Wide Bay area.
Thanks to the hostess for quick response to remeditate a minor fault with the curtain rail during our stay. She dispatched a handyman as soon as the problem has been reported.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

The house was very clean and tidy with some very special extra touches provided, such as cd’s, DVD’s, magazines &books, hand wash, shampoo, body wash, glad wrap, baking paper & alfoil, salt, oil, vinegar, start up milk. It was a perfect house to take your fur baby, and was only a short stroll through pretty bush land to the beach. The beds were very comfortable, and the house spacious.
There are some suggestions that would have made the stay better such as the provision of an oven or a BBQ ( with hood) instead of just a small convection microwave that was not large enough to cook for 6 people. While the fire pit was OK, it was fortunate that we had taken our own fire pit on a stand which worked well with the tripod hanging grill plate - this would not have been possible to use during a dry summer. There was no wood provided for this and really does need the provision of a hooded BBQ. The non stick fry pans provided were in very poor condition & no longer non stick. There was no dish brush to facilitate cleaning of pans so we purchased this and left it with the house, and also had to purchase a decent cutting board.
It was great having a full size fridge, as well as excellent laundry facilities, linen and towels - including dog towels- provided and of excellent quality. Dog toys were even provided much to our fur baby’s delight.
The main bedroom was very comfortable and spacious, with an accompanying large ensuite. Unfortunately the hot water system is too small to cope with 6 people showering within short time of each other.
The second & third bedrooms are comfortable but could have done with a little more storage space to allow unpacking of clothing.
Outdoor shower was ideal for washing dog after being at the beach. Lovely spacious veranda area, conducive to relaxing.
Prior to arrival we had thought the position was closer to the 2 restaurants in town - unfortunately they were not walking distance.
Overall a great house, but could do with some small inclusions to make it better.

The property is beautiful with lots of welcoming touches for both humans and dogs. And a very comfortable bed! Our dog loved it too and it was perfect being able to just walk down a track and be on an off leash beach. Thank you for offering a truly ‘pets welcome’ property. We hope to come back again!
