Spacious suite in Country setting
About this house rental
Nestled in Wildwood, this charming house for $142 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Our finished lower level is like it's own apartment. This 2 bedroom, 1 full bath suite has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, fireplace & living room with two reclining sofas that can double as sleeping areas. Our “hibernation bedroom”(super dark for day- sleepers), has a queen bed. The “master bedroom “has a king (memory foam)bed & a futon, that can be used as a bed. Save on your meals out and enjoy our provided “pancake station”. Enjoy listening to the song birds or watching our horse & donkeys while relaxing on your private patio. We're close to the local “Hidden Valley” ski resort, Six Flags theme park, hiking/biking trails and just a short drive to Purina Farms or downtown St. Louis. Up to eight people can stay here with the use of an air mattress or the reclining sofas, in addition to the bedrooms. If there are More than 4 in your group, then there would be an additional $25, per night, per additional guest fee. If you’re traveling with your pet, we have a fenced yard and only charge $25 per pet/per reservation (cash upon check-in). We ask the animals are crated in your absence. If they aren’t crated and any “accidents” or damages occur, fees will apply. We look forward to hosting you during your travels.

We had a great experience. Communication was great. The homemade treats were much appreciated and our kiddos loved feeding the carrots to the horse and donkeys that were provided by the host. There's a firepit in the yard to use and the fireplace inside made for a really comfortable stay on a rainy winter weekend. I've already recommended the location and will continue to share to folks needing a place to stay in St Louis.

Very comfortable accommodations and friendly/responsive host. Location was clean and beds were very comfortable. Additionally, the nearby community is very nice and has everything you’ll need within a short distance.

Quiet and private. The hosts were very friendly. Everything was set up perfectly for our needs before we arrived. Better then any hotel stay hands down.

It was a little confusing when we first got there on where to go. It was dark out but the gate to the back of the house wasn't markes so we were hesitate to open it and go around back in case we had the wrong house.
Rock/slab steps were a little difficult to manuevar with luggage especially with lasge plants. Otherwise great place and loved the country feel. Would have enjoyed staying a bit longer then 1 night.

This was just what we needed after driving across Missouri on our way to Tennessee. Such a quiet, peaceful place with beautiful birds, great hosts and a very comfortable bed.

Debbie and Kenny were such great hosts! The property was beautiful, clean, and exactly what we needed. There was plenty of space indoors and outdoors for my family of four and my 6 year old enjoyed being able to feed the horses carrots.

Very nice place to stay; even though it's a country setting, it is a good central location (for the suburbs of western St. Louis). Great communications with the owners, clean, quiet, private, comfortable. I'll be working on staying here again!

I was thoughly impressed about this place. It will not be my only stay at that property, and she even left me carrots to give to the animals out back. What a great home away from home!

From start to finish Debbie and her husband were wonderful hosts. She even provided a kennel for our dog so we could go to the zoo, and when we were late coming back, let our dog out for us. She was gracious, kind, and the property itself was exactly what my husband and our kids needed for a getaway.

Everything was smooth for booking and communication with Debbie! And my kiddos loved the horse and donkeys near by!

Debbie was a super attentive host. She even has a fire going for us when we would return from skiing/snowboarding at Hidden Valley. The property was expansive and very close to town, while not feeling the squeeze of suburban houses built on top of each other. The flat was well appointed with all necessary amenities, and the shower…. My God, the shower. Big, comfy beds, great book and board game selection, plenty of cookware (she even made a pancake-making station with all necessary ingredients). The best thing, though, was she was thoughtful enough to leave a bag of carrots in her fridge so we could feed her horse and donkeys! Memory maker right there.

We will be back! Connie and her husband were very kind; the space is excellent, great for our pup, who loved running the back yard and was intrigued by the horse and donkeys. They even gave us carrots to feed the animals before we left. GREAT spot to stay if in the area!

Rental was easy, and Debbie was very good at communicating, including all my questions prior to rental and the minute we arrived up until the day we checked out. The price was very affordable and we all felt at home, including my 14 and 18 year old boys, my boyfriend and our dog. The property suited our needs perfectly! We would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Missouri!

We came to St Louis to visit our son for a week, with our two dogs. Deb couldn't have been a better host. The space was wonderful for the dogs, and we enjoyed our lazy mornings with coffee on the patio watching the dogs play and interact through the fence with her donkeys. It was a quiet and restful space, and only 8 miles from our son. we look forward to going back!

Convenient quick stay
This location was convenient to both downtown St Louis and Great America. We stayed as a quick stop, but there is a lot to offer in the area. The kitchen and bathroom are updated and very nice. There is a nice closet that had games for our family to play with.

I am pretty sure the property manager makes up the rules as it goes. When I booked, I originally thought it was me and my partner staying and then my sister had to work at the local hospital and instead of driving home, she stayed with me, I did tell Debbie that I can vouch for her and she would be staying with me, I did not originally have her listed as a guest when I booked because that was not the original plan. Then I receive an email from VRBO saying Debbie requested an additional fee for an additional guest, which is fine but she didn't tell me what it was for till a day went by that it was for her "hassle" of dealing with an extra guest, then she said I broke the properties rules of having extra guest, then I read her policies that just changed based on my situation that said there is an additional fee per person. I had 2 people initially and never got billed that fee when I booked. I noticed she edited her "house rules" during my stay saying. She baked an apple pie just like previous reviews stated but it was 75 percent eaten. During COVID season that isn't sanitary. We had zero towels to dry off on the first night, I had to request towels for the second night. I was in the shower after a long day of snowboarding and asked what I thouht was my partner a question, when I quickly realized there was another man in my rented space, which I can only assume it was he husband of the owner, he never knocked, he just walked in my area. I have no clue why he was there but that happened twice that I know of. The property has a dog (Constantly barking), cats, 2 donkeys, and a horse. If they would have left us alone, it would have been a positive experience for our first vacation. The privacy was non existent. Hotels never enter without knocking. You do not get that luxury here. They come and go as they please in the place we rented. The positives are the location to restaurants and hidden valley ski resort. The basement is a good size but it is 1 bath not the 2 the listing states. When we arrived it was accommodating but as time passed we couldn't even talk because we felt they were watching our every move but we could here them constantly walking around and talking. There was zero privacy and I couldn't sleep at all because I was anticipating them showing up as I was sleeping. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. This stay ruined my first vacation I had with my partner. I received 2 additional payments after my departure that are not justified.

Debbie is awesome. Very friendly, lives in the upstairs of the property. Baked us homemade apply pie. Note that listing says 2 bathrooms but there is only one. This is on a farm property so if you are allergic to animals (horses, donkeys, cats, dogs) then might not be the place for you.

Great for dogs/kids
So nice to arrive to a fire going in the fireplace, extra wood and pineapple upside down cake! Beautiful area but a bit hard to find at night. Would stay here again.

Debbie was so great! Brought us down yummy soup, was very informative, and even had a list of places to take the pups! Will 100% return!

We needed a place to stay for 10 days after we sold our house and could move into the new one. We were pleased to stay at this Airbnb because it did accept our family of 4 and two dogs, that was very important. Debbie was very accommodating and kind enough to leave us a pie in the fridge upon our stay. The fireplace was spectacular and we made great use of it. We really felt quite at home. A note on the bathrooms - there is only 1 not 3 as the listing suggested and I was a little disappointed to find the sauna not in order as I do like a good sweat. My only other comment is if you are a light sleeper, bring your ear plugs!

Country Bliss
The country setting was beautiful and was conveniently located between Wildwood and Eureka. We got to enjoy a fire in the backyard while the kids fed the horse and donkeys. The accomodations were perfect and Debbie was so kind and helpful as we were unfamiliar with the area. We had a peaceful, relaxing and hassle-free weekend!
