About this condo rental

Located in Morganton, this lovely condo for $393 per night is a great option for your next break. We've Lower Rates, So Book Your Excursion! Our modern, but charming, 2BR/1.5BA studio loft is located on the 2nd level of the building and looks over nearby restaurants and shops. The building has undergone a total renovation in 2019 to offer all the newest conveniences and modern comforts, while remaining true to the 1900's charm of the stucture. The original building was a Drug Store and the tile on the lower level entry facing W. Union St. still remains today. Suite 202 offers a fully equipped kitchen, combined living area with bar seating, large leather sectional to relax, and a built in work station if needed. Large windows let in lots of natural light, wood floors, open rafters and exposed brick were retained in the renovation process. The loft is also home to art, commissioned by local Folk Artist Charlie Frye of Folk Keeper Gallery, specific to Burke County Landmarks. The unit has cental heat and air, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster and microwave. Two spacious bedrooms with king beds. Due to fire and safety codes, the bedrooms do not have doors, but offer privacy drapes. One full bath located between the bedrooms with walk in shower, and a half bath just inside the entrance door. All linens are supplied as well as toiletries, hair dryer, and clothing iron. Easy parking located behind the unit where there is a private lighted entry. Parking directions can be given. Each guest will be given entry door codes to access the unit during their stay. Enjoy a day in Downtown Morganton shopping and dining, or venture out and explore our scenic attractions. Lake James State Park is only a 20 minute drive and there are many hiking and biking trails nearby. The Burke County Tourism Office is only one block away. Ask the owner for more information on things to see and do.

We loved spending the weekend in this downtown loft. It has everything you need to stay in for the night but also convenient if you want to go out and be social. Our small family gathering enjoyed watching football, eating and gathering. This was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy each other's company. This property manager was excellent, they have everything you need to just show up and relax! An excellent choice of traveling to Morganton.

I loved this property and will definitely be back. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving break here and had so much fun walking to all of our favorite places in town - Swede's for breakfast, Libba's for shopping, Brown Mountain Bottleworks and Fonta Flora for beverages and Food Matters for groceries (and lunch!) It's a wonderful kitchen for cooking with the perfect island for snacks, cocktails and conversations. I love the overall aesthetic, it has everything you need to be comfortable. The beds were very cozy and I slept so well. We made many good memories as a family here. Super grateful!

We had a wonderful visit to downtown Morganton. Three generations (grandma, two daughters, and one granddaughter) enjoyed the spacious loft, comfy couch, and great kitchen for cooking. We loved walking to shops, restaurants, and great coffee just across the street from the loft.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the downtown loft. The location was perfect and we could walk to everything. Morganton is incredibly charming and the people are really friendly. The property was absolutely gorgeous. I love the art and how spacious it is. The furnishings were high quality as well. One small constructive criticism... the kitchen could use steak knives and prep knives. We ordered take out and had to cut steaks with a butter knife. We also had nothing to chop onions with for our omelets. And the toilet paper....way too thin. :)
