Stay somewhere else

• The location • The jacuzzi was a nice touch (once you figured out how to set it up and it be ready) • The view

Firstly, we were told an hour before we left for the airport (around 20 hours before we checked in), that the host had to cancel part of our reservation, or we could choose to cancel the full reservation. Given the fact that we didn’t have sufficient time to cancel the full reservation we had to stay for the first two nights before we had to leave. Having to move accommodation with a 9 month old baby was incredibly inconvenient and stressful with the last minute change. We were told this was because of building maintenance however when I was price checking, the dates we had booked on Booking.com were still open on AirBnB. We think the hosts were double booked and as we had booked the place a couple years earlier, the prices were certainly higher on AirBnB so we were the ones cut loose. Secondly, it’s incredibly difficult and frustrating checking in and getting settled. There were 47 WhatsApp messages with instructions on what to do. Not ideal when you arrive at 11pm after a long day travelling. What’s more is that the place is run down, smells of old cigarettes, wires are hanging out in wardrobes and it’s generally unkempt. The second bedroom is just a bed behind the sofa in the living room. We asked for a 12pm check out time and the cleaners were already waiting for us to leave at 11:50am. I would not recommend this place. The jacuzzi is appealing but the overall experience and amenities do not suffice the effort in having to stay here. Good but pictures make it look better than it is.

Great location and friendly hosts. Easy to get keys and hosts were quick to answer any queries.

When we turned the Jacuzzi on huge amounts of limescale came out of the jets. It needs de-scaling badly. None of the surround sound speakers worked and there was no shower head in the main bathroom which meant you just got a large jet of water to the face. Fortunately there was a spare shower in the other bathroom but the water leaked out into the bedroom when it was used. It was obviously once a really nice top end looking apartment but it is in need of a few repairs and a fresh paint job. Don't get me wrong, it was still a nice place to stay but the pictures of the place make it look in a better condition than it actually is.

Great potential, but needs a little facelift

We chose this place for the location and the views of mountains and sea, it is perfect for both of these! You can see out towards Vouliagmeni beach and the sunset is worth it. It is 15-20 minutes walk towards the beach area where there are nice restaurants of varying price ranges available, and at this time of year it was not very touristy or busy at these restaurants. Very relaxing :) The apartment is spacious and worked well for two of us during our stay, and we were able to enjoy breakfast and lounging on the beautiful terrace in the mornings. Parking is available everywhere outside the apartment so no problems there.

To be honest overall it’s a great apartment but some small fixes would have really made the difference. The apartment is listed to sleep 6 people, but the kitchen seems like it could be better equipped for this. For example, there aren’t enough glasses and when we tried to cook our own meals a few nights it wasn’t super smooth. The electric blinds in the jacuzzi room were broken, and although the host was quick to respond, they did not come back with any conclusions. I rolled them up myself and filled up the jacuzzi to then find out most of jacuzzi jets were broken, and the only ones that worked were very low pressure. It was basically sitting in a lukewarm bath. From previous reviews it seems this has been the case for a while, so if the jacuzzi is high on your priority I wouldn’t book this for that. There is a lot of tech set up in the house, which is really impressive, but be mindful that the speakers are partially broken, so sound is only playing out of one side. We had read in other reviews about the mold in the bathroom, we did see this during our stay but we were already prepared for this.
