Nous sommes satisfaits de notre séjour et de l’accueil chez l’habitant. Maurice ne se résume pas qu’à ses plages. Pouvoir manger local et des plats différents chaque soir. Discuter et échanger .

I like everything

Its someone's house set down a very quiet road. Small pool that we never used. Comfortable big bedroom. The daughter did laundry for us and organized a fish, rice and daal dinner. We shared a lot of pleasantries and learnt about her school and studies. The16 year old daughter was friendly and helpful.

We were shocked when we were asked to cancel the booking a couple of days before our check-in date, because the owner had travelled out of the island. This is and cannot be acceptable. The money for our stay had already been debited in my credit card. I told the owner that I would be coming on the day of check-in as scheduled. After a long drive to the house, we find no-one, just a few dogs. All the numbers provided were not going through and the one which was picked up was answered by someone who didn't speak any English. All in all, it was a very disappointing turn of events. Just by chance, as we were leaving the area angry and frustrated, I stop an old lady on the road to ask if she was headed to the villa, and it turned out to be the househelp of the villa! We were so relieved, and then we dropped our luggage off. After our day of sightseeing, we come back home to again find no-one. Luckily for us, the side door was open and we managed to get into the villa. After some time, the children of the owners came from school and the daughter helped us with everything. She was brilliant.

Wonderful hosts, very friendly, good location, house clean, comfortable and tidy. I recommend it

Everything was great

Large room, but very spartan. No table to leave things or bags. Nice surrounding countryside, nice hosts. Easy access to every place of interest in the northern part of the island. Very good price to quality relationship.

The room is practically part of the family house albeit on a different floor. One has to share the kitchen and dining room with the family. The hosts have been very discreet and there was really no problem, but some people may not like this arrangement.

lovely hard working people who looked after me like their own family! I will always remember sharing good few drinks till late nights on your terrace chatting about everything and nothing like a good old friends!

next time we will be finishing our sessions earlier! have no idea how you have managed to get up every morning for work!
