We choose the cottage because we needed some space to prepare meals for a group, mainly assembly and warming, for serving elsewhere. The spacious kitchen was just what we needed. As presented, it was very clean and comfortable. The king bed was among the better rental beds we have ever experienced. The neighborhood was very quiet and inviting.

Where is the perfect location for an annual family gathering when you live in Michigan and Colorado? Nashville of course! Finding a quiet getaway location for our first trip to Nashville was easy when we found this perfect cottage to relax and enjoy family. Conveniently located to all the entertainment amenities offered in the area while walking distance to historic downtown Franklin. This charming cottage is pristine, comfortably well-equipped, and stocked respectfully. Matt was a fabulous host with quick responses (other hosts take note of how it should be done!) The Cottage is our favorite VRBO home and we will definitely stay here again. Hurry and book this home for your next trip! You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful brand new quiet safe neighborhood easy walk to town circle

My wife and I stayed for a few days on our way to visit family in the Midwest. We’ve stayed in a number of VRBO properties over the past several years in various parts of the country. This spot is without a doubt one of the best. The house was spotless and just as it looks in the pictures. The location is perfect - an easy walk to downtown Franklin, which is charming. The neighborhood is quiet and picturesque. If we could rate this higher, it would be easily well-deserved. Matt provides an outstanding experience and wonderful property. If we come back through the area, we would stay again and again.

Don’t hesitate to book this great Garden Cottage. It’s such a nice place that looks exactly like the photos. Quiet neighborhood and only 5-6 blocks to downtown Franklin. The owners are quick to communicate and very pleasant to work with. We were able to see the beautiful Cheekwood Gardens and do some hiking on the Natchez Trace Scenic Trail. Pucketts has live music but know you need to get tickets ahead of time (check it out before you go). It’s a great area and you’ll enjoy staying at this 5 star property.

Very comfortable and fun place to stay for our girls weekend away!

This is a lovely property with 4 great bedrooms and plenty of common area spaces. The house is well appointed and comfortable with cozy spaces on the main level and basement. Our group was able to relax and refresh each evening after busy days.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was a great floor plan and the back yard was cute and I enjoyed sitting on the back porch early in the morning and eating my breakfast. Very comfortable and convenient to downtown Franklin. Very clean and well done! We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, nice neighborhood within walking distance to The Factory and DT Franklin, very clean and comfortable! I highly recommend Garden Gate Cottage for anyone who is looking for a quiet place to rest while exploring the area.

We had a wonderful girl’s weekend in Franklin. This property is as charming as it looks in the pictures. Really nice location and walkable to downtown Franklin. We look forward to returning.

Lovely cottage, comfortable and cozy. Loved the rocking chairs on the back porch looking at the fall leaves on the trees. Matt was a great host.

Cottage located on a quiet residential street within a 1/2 mile walk to Franklin’s downtown. Newly renovated ranch style home divided into two units. Beautifully remodeled with 2 bedrooms with adjoining baths, well appointed kitchen and lovely living room. If it had been warmer, we could have enjoyed either the charming front porch or the quiet back porch area. Host was available to answer any questions we had.

We had such a wonderful Time.It was just the ticket to a great weekend. The house was perfect and so quaint/ it was tastefully Decorated and so clean. We had a wonderful time. Couldnt have asked for a better place to stay. Central location to farmers market and downtown.

Four of us enjoyed a few days of touring the Franklin area. This house provided a great retreat after our long days. It was super clean (I am a clean freak!) and very nicely laid out. The owner and/or decorator did a marvelous job. We would definitely stay here again. Note: there was no soap in the shower nor did they havet Kleenex…..just a head’s up so you don’t have to run out after you check in.

Property was darling with well appointed decor and very clean. We did go on a treasure hunt for the microwave, so don’t miss it in the hall closet. Also, you might bring along some extra pots and cooking dishes as the choices there were minimal. I would suggest mirrors in the bedrooms, though the master bathroom does have a full length, which was nice. There aren’t dressers for storage, which is probably why there was a bra left behind in the standalone pantry in the kitchen, presumably by the previous renters. However, the master closet is gigantic with plenty of space for stacking and hanging. Plenty of paper goods and towels stocked, which was refreshing as so many places give you a “starter set,” which is never enough for more than two adults for a week. The heat was oppressive outside, so we spent more time than we intended to at the house, but in more pleasant weather, the back porch would be a great place to hang out and walking into downtown would be easy. We drove every time and parking was plentiful. Be aware that there are no ceiling fans anywhere. Some might take issue with this. We were fine with it as the AC was highly efficient. Also, we aren’t sure our neighbors on the other side realized they were sharing the property as they peered into our windows while trying to figure out the front door (their entrance). Thankfully, we were all fully clothed, though it might have added to their entertainment for the weekend had we decided to bare all for the sake of being on vacation. All in all, it’s a great place and should we decide to return for an extended stay visiting our son again, we would gladly rent this place again. Cheers!

This is a lovely two-bedroom, two-bath residence, part of a duplex in a quiet neighborhood, located between downtown Franklin and The Factory. (When road and sidewalk work are completed, both destinations are easy walks.) I would definitely stay here again.

This place was perfect in every way! Great location, spacious and super clean! There was absolutely nothing negative about this place. It was larger than the pictures show, the outside space was relaxing, the beds were comfortable and it’s in a cute neighborhood. We visit Franklin a couple times a year, and hope to rent this place again.
