Perfect little bungalow for a laid back stay in Koh Tao

Great location, steps from the beach. In Mae Haad so quieter than Sairee but still lots of good food and bars around. Right next door to Master Divers which is a huge plus. Mr. T the owner was very helpful and has a little shop next door for all the essentials.

Bed was quite hard but that’s typical of Thailand.

Good price. Nice staffs

Staffs are very nice. The price is competitive. The room is large.

There was a power outage during our stay but it affected almost the whole island. The property needs a good amount of walking from the pier if you go with retired parents.

Great location

Very close to the pier, walking distance. A stone throw from the beach. Cozy porch in front of the bungalow.

The room only really fits the bed, and nothing else, so exercising on the floor, for example, is tricky. Shower pressure is not great, and they're a little stingy on the toilet paper. The older guy in the reception is a bit flippant.

Perfekt

Es gab einen Kühlschrank! Sodass man ohne Bedenken auch mal Lebensmittel mit nehmen konnte. Außerdem ist alles Fußläufig zu erreichen wenn man mit Kleinkind nicht Roller fahren will. Es ist klein (wir hatte nur ein Bungalow mit Ventilator) aber man hat Ablegemöglichkeiten und das Personal ist sehr zu vorkommend. Das Bett war nicht durchgelegen sondern angenehm! Nicht so weich das man man jede Feder fühlt sonder eher hart aber auch kein Brett wie in anderen Backpacker Stationen. Die größeren Bungalows sind für einen längeren Aufenthalt mit Familie perfekt!!!! Ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen….Für Asien perfekt.

Habe wenigstens stornieren dürfen!

- Zentrale Lage - Ich durfte nach einer Nacht stornieren (sie waren flexibel)

Ich war im vordersten Bungalow-1: - Das Bett ist wirklich sehr hart und ungemütlich - Die alte Klimaanlage knattert extrem stark und ist wirklich so laut, dass man sie eigentlich nachts nicht anlassen kann - Sehr laut weil die Bar gegenüber laute Musik hat und Menschen dort permanent vor dem Haus sich aufhalten - Abends können Fledermäuse vor der Tür rumfliegen

Malheureusement je ne peux pas mettre d’avis positif suite à cette expérience. ⚠️⚠️Attention aux vols de sous-vêtements féminins Je me suis fait voler tous mes sous-vêtements féminins (seulement les bas😳). En parlant de ceci au patron, ce dernier en rigole et dit que c’est déjà arrivé dans certains bungalows. Pour autant, les caméras sont cassées et cela fait plusieurs mois qu’elles ne sont pas changées 😅 soyez prudents, cette histoire est très bizarre et vous serez seul(e) à vouloir résoudre ce problème !

Good enough to rest

The beds, the attention, the amenities like shampoo and soap.

The wi fi was not very good. Also, the fan was not enough to keep the room cool.

The bungalows need a renovation. Worse than in pictures

I'd say the best is the location (note: the other side of Sairee beach but many restaurants and coffee shops around, 5 mins away of the port). The bungalow has a decent size. The staff is nice and understandable.

The bungalow is old and dirty. After 4 nights we got used to it but there are a lot of bugs (yes, it is surrounded by nature, but we have been in other bungalows and it was not the case). The mirror is so rusty you can't see anything and the walls need cleaning and repainting. One of the pillows they gave us was like a stone. I think it is not so good value for money, but it also depends on the options available on the island. We thought it was better from the photos.

Friendly owners. Great location, a few minute walk from the pier. Next to a great bar on the beach (bamboo beach bar) & an awesome restaurant (coconut monkey) Theres a shop on site. Room is basic, but everything you need. We stayed an extra 2 nights & the owner gave us a better deal than on booking .com. Would happily stay again

Was hot as hell. Definitely get aircon. We had a fan and was warmer in our room than outside. Rooster underneath crowing was also difficult to sleep with. Otherwise it was fine. Cheap enough and decent. Not too far out of everything

Great hosts and lovely bungalow

We couldn’t believe that we could get our own bungalow for less than 2 beds in a dorm room in most hostels. We loved having a covered space to sit and dry our clothes. It was great! In the room there was a bed, small shelving unit with glasses and space for a few of our packing cubes, and a fan. It was everything we needed. The room and bedding was clean. The bathroom was slightly tired but absolutely fine. We rented a scooter for cheaper than anywhere else we saw on the island. The owners were always super friendly and helpful. We loved the location, near the pier but quieter than the central road. The property is not on the beach but is less than a minutes walk, from the first bungalow. Great snorkelling! (if your facing the sea head left near the big rocks - there is a sunken ship you can snorkel around and a little bit to the right of the ships (facing the sea) there are some masses of coral with giant fish!) We also snorkelled round to 3 rocks from here (stronger swimmers only due to the distance) and saw two 2m+ sharks in the late afternoon. It is a free beach to enter here. We had a great time!

Very nice gardens, right next to beach, bars, restaurants but not noisy at all, laid back vibe. Convenience store and laundry on site. Balconies.

No AC in first room and sea breeze was not cutting it, upgraded to AC room once available. Large garden with many bungalows ; can be far from beach (couple minute walk).

the room itself is a bit dated, no flush for toilet but bucket of water, no wardrobe or other than small hanger for towels

Great budget option and close to the pier which was nice. Bungalow was also very spacious.

Some things in our room were dirty (the cups were used and sticky), staff wasn’t the friendliest but overall good for what you pay

very nice, and good value for money!

the location is great! right next to the pier but not to much in the city so very quiet. we tried 3 different rooms because we kept on adding days on the island and the owner was very nice and helpful. we had a bungalow and a normal room, with fan, which was enough for us. there is a terrace on every room which is very nice. the atmosphere is very peaceful.

the water pressure isn’t great but it’s like that in a lot of places in Thailand!

I always stay there when on Koh Tao. Hosts are super friendly and bungalows are cozy. They also offer scooter rental and bunch of other services. Highly recommended!

- It's close to the pier. - Its fairly quiet at night. - Its basic but for the price it's pretty good.

- The staff were a little bit rude and shouty when showing us to our rooms. - The beds are not comfortable at all. - The fan is so bad you might as well not have one. - The power went off in the morning when we wanted to shower.

5 nights lovely stay in comfortable bungalows, with friendly owners.

These are lovely bungalows, very well situated near the pier. It is run by the most friendly and helpful owner-manager family. It was exactly what we expected (given the information and reviews we read beforehand). It also has towel/clothes racks on the veranda, which is great for hanging your beach towels etc. to dry overnight.

The only thing we would have wanted different, is for the 2-bed bungalow to have AC. It had only a fan.

Suitable for a quiet stay

Quieter side of Koh Tao with a 20 minute walk from the busy area. Owner helpful with booking onward travel.

A bit far from the local amenities. Check in area is in a shop down the road.
