Unwind at Beautiful Owl Rock Lodge Yosemite/Bass Lake Welcome to Owl Rock Lodge, a 1.2 acre Craftsman style property nestled in the mountains near Bass Lake and the South entrance to Yosemite National Park. This 4 bedroom, 2900 sq ft spacious single story home is perfect for a quiet and relaxing family getaway. Our large kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences of home including; double oven, plenty of dishes & silverware, coffee maker and a Keurig, rice cooker, crockpot, blender and even a wine refrigerator. Savor the peacefulness of the outdoors on the back patio at our 6 person outdoor table or from our 6 person hot tub. Watch for local deer passing through the meadow across the street from the sitting area of the front porch. Relax in the living room to watch a movie on our 70” 4KHD flatscreen tv. (Note: living room fireplace not available for use). Need a little more action? Hang out in our garage gaming area and play a few games of ping pong, corn hole or foosball. The gaming area also boasts sofa seating, a 50” tv, and bar seating. After enjoying a day out at nearby Bass Lake, Yosemite, Mariposa or trying your luck at Chukchansi Casino, enjoy a meal in our formal dining area then rest easy on our queen size beds with memory foam mattresses available in each bedroom. The master suite also features a cozy gas fireplace, generous sized shower, two sinks and a walk in closet. Other amenities include: BBQ, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, AC & heater, pack & play, hairdryers in each full bath. Back entrance to the house is wheelchair accessible. Note: This home does not have fences. Wildlife, mostly squirrels, deer, and occasionally turkeys pass through the property. Please enjoy them from a distance and avoid leaving food for them. There would never be enough space to list the many positives about this property and our rental experience. The home is filled with anything and everything that any family could possible need while on vacation. Everywhere you look there is a beautiful space with an even more beautiful view. The location is perfect for visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake. The owners could not have been more responsive and easier to work with. Our family's vacation went way beyond our expectations. After visiting all other National Parks on my bucket list, we will definitely be back and hope to rent the same fabulous home.

Usually there is some disappointment with a place in person compared to the photos online and listing… not at Owl Rock Lodge, it doesn’t get better than this place! First off the owners are on top of everything, from the moment I messaged them, to the detailed and thoughtful check in information and local attractions, and they make check out a breeze. The house is spacious! We are a family of 5 with kids ranging from 3-19 years old, there is space and things to do for everyone! The cleanliness factor is a 10 out of 10. Every necessity you could think of is taken care of. It’s easy to get to South Gate from the house and bass lake is beautiful and very close to the house. I could go on and on. Bottom line, don’t think twice… this is the place. Thank you Mike and Minnie for hosting us and going above and beyond. I’m not sure anything will top our stay for the remainder of the road trip!

Pride of ownership is evident throughout this property! It's spacious, has wonderful beds, is immaculate, and is well-equipped in every way from indoor and outdoor entertainment to a high-end kitchen. The surrounding are peaceful with visiting wildlife to enjoy. We loved our week at Owl Rock Lodge.

Just Perfect!
My family stayed at this property while visiting Yosemite and Sequoia/King Canyon. This was the perfect retreat after long days of hiking!
Even before we arrived, Mike and Minnie were so responsive to questions and provided great suggestions for restaurants/site-seeing while there. They made it so easy for us to just enjoy our vacation!
The property is very close to town, so easy access to grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and gas. It was also an easy drive to both Yosemite and Sequoia/Kings Canyon. Though it was far enough out of town that it was peaceful and quiet.
The property is so sereen - a beautiful, relaxing backyard where we saw wildlife (mostly deer) everyday. So peaceful and quiet to lay in the hammock or relax in the hottub.
Finally, the home had so much space for each of us to retreat on our own or come together. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms (no need to pick up anything from the store!).
If traveling to the area again, I would definitely choose to stay here again, no question!

I'm a host too, and this place is great!
This property checks all the boxes one hopes to be checked when renting a large home for a family getaway. Never mind the fabulous location (Oakhurst is the nicest town anywhere near Yosemite), this home is also furnished and equipped the way a person with good tastes would furnish and equip their own home. I'm ultra picky, but I found nothing lacking. My bar for rentals just got raised and I even learned a few tricks from the clever hosts of this home, how I can do better with my own VRBO rental property.
Super clean, everything looked super clean, fresh, in order, and easy to find. The huge kitchen was a real delight to prepare meals in and the cookware and utensils were quality, not cheap rental grade junk so typical in a rental.
The only dissapointment was the fireplace cannot be used due to fire danger conditions in CA. But there are some electric candles in there that light up with a remote and look nice. The hotub was clean, hot, functioned well, and lit up with built-in LED's. The outdoor sitting areas are well landscaped and inviting. The mule deer visited daily and could be seen from the breakfast table.
Nearby in Oakhurst is a 4x4 rental and
tour company. Near Bass Lake is one of the country's best forests for 4x4 and dirt bike travel, the Sierra National Forest has fantastic back country roads to explore and camp without the crowds of Yosemite. Check out the Avenza app for Forest Service maps that can be used offline.
I'm back home now from a wonderful time with a luxury base camp at Owl Rock Lodge for a week. If this is your flavor home, it's a real winner.

Excellent home near Yosemite National Park
Our family had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our stay at this great property. The home was very clean, open and spacious, and in great condition. We've stayed at quite a few different properties over the years, and this place is one of our new favorites. If you enjoy nature and relaxation, you'll love this property. We saw deer, birds, squirrels, and wild turkeys in the backyard every day, and it's less than an hour drive from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. Thank you again Mike & Minnie for being such great hosts and sharing your beautiful home with us!

Group of 6 adults looking for a quick getaway to enjoy each others company and this place was perfect.
We sat in the backyard with the deer wandering around us, enjoyed the peace and quiet.

This property was better than the pictures! Beautiful grounds, house was very clean and nice. Great place for our family of 6 to spread out. The game room was a big hit for the kids and the adults! Close to bass lake, Yosemite, grocery stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend, and look forward to staying again next time in the area.

This is a really nice place that feels brand new...the hot tub seems like it was delivered yesterday. The cookware is barely used. The home itself has a lot of new things like the towels etc. So nothing shabby here.
The property is set in stone...I mean that natural rocks are literally where they left them and built the house around them. Pretty cool. The yard offers a lovely spot for the easily working fire pit. There are plenty of critters to observe as well.
The amenities are abundant with a game room that is made for pandemic...I mean if you can't go out you'd be kept occupied here. The only issue is that most people probably go to the area to enjoy the outdoors and unless you have frat boys or a bunch of kids you probably won't get much use out of it.
Another downside is the sunlight inside. We were mostly out for the day so I didn't notice it until I spent an afternoon alone there. It's dark inside. The sun rises and sets on windowless areas of the living space for the most part. It would drive me crazy on a daily basis but for a short stay you might not notice the cave like feel.
All in all it was totally worth the affordable price and is most likely amazing in winter if that is your thing. Just be sure to ask if the fireplace will be functional first because it would make a huge difference in winter.

Perfect place for a getaway and close to Yosemite.
The property was clean, quiet and relaxing. All the necessities were provided. Both the kids and the adults enjoyed playing in the game room with ping-pong, foosball, corn hole and other games. The backyard had a number of places to sit, horseshoes and lots of beautiful trees that chirped with birds and squirrels. We were able to drive from there Yosemite for the day and also took a midday trip to Fish Camp for some snow playing. But, if you just want a calm place to relax and not leave this is the place.

Absolutely Perfect Yosemite Getaway!
My husband and I stayed at the Owl Rock Lodge for 3 nights while we were visiting Yosemite and it was amazing! It is very close to the Wawona entrance to the Park and a super convenient location near several grocery stores, drug stores and restaurants.
The property is beautiful and the house is very well maintained. It was extremely clean and they seem to be going the extra mile to ensure all is thoroughly disinfected, which is very comforting in the current COVID environment. I am a bit of a clean freak and usually have issues with the cleanliness of rental houses, but the owners have done an awesome job with the Lodge! The owners were also very accommodating and quick to respond with any questions that I had. Although it was only 2 of us staying during this trip, this would be a great house for a larger group with or without kids. The kitchen is huge and there is a big dining room that could be used for a larger group dinner. The kitchen was also very well stocked with all of the cooking tools and essentials you would want to prepare a large meal. They have converted the main garage into a game room with a big screen TV, foosball table, and plenty of games that would be great for kids and adults alike! I also really liked the layout of the house as the master bedroom (and huge master bath) was on one side of the living room with two other bedrooms on the opposite side so it wouldn’t feel cramped with several couples staying there together.
Overall, it is a beautiful and clean house that made our visit to Yosemite even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying at the Lodge and will definitely stay here whenever we come back to the Yosemite area!

The property was beautiful. Very convenient location, nearby stores and hiking trails. We were able to enjoy a nice evening by the fire and took advatage of the hot tub. All my friends enjoyed themselves I would do it all over again!

Perfect Stay Near Bass Lake and Yosemite
With more families opting for staycations this summer, Mike and Minnie's place was the perfect getaway to comfortably fit our group's needs near Bass Lake and Yosemite. Their place was super clean, comfortable, updated, and well equipped for quality family time. Our favorite part was the large, open kitchen where our family spent most of the time cooking and eating together.

Beautiful Home!
We stayed here while visiting Yosemite for 5 days. The house is super clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable with quality linens. We enjoyed sitting out back in the adirondack chairs at night under the lights which were hung through the trees. The pictures do not do this property justice. They have everything you could want or need. We had 7 family members with the youngest age 14. There was plenty of space and we never felt crowded. Mike and Minnie were exceptionally kind and made sure we felt welcome in their home. I would love to stay there again, it was wonderful!

The owners are so sweet and easy to reach anytime. Everything I’m the house is labeled so you can find things easily. I’ve never seen anything like it. I would stay here over and over again! 10 stars for sure

Exceeded Our Expectations
Walking into this house we were all blown away. The pictures don't do it justice. The house and the surrounding property is absolutely beautiful.
We were able to drive to Bass Lake in 15-20 minutes and into Yosemite in 45 mins. ( 1 hr 30 mins. to get into the Valley).
The kitchen was spacious and well stocked. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. Our group of 7 had more than enough room to move about and find a comfy spot to relax.
The game room was a bit too hot to enjoy much, but we did enjoy the hot tub and horseshoes in the evenings.
Minnie was quick to respond when a maintenance issue arose and went out of her way to make sure things were dealt with quickly, without any inconvenience to us.
All in all we gave this property 6 out of 5 stars and plan to visit again someday.

The pictures of this home did it no justice! It was beautiful, immaculate, and the attention to detail was unbelievable! We had a wonderful time and would love to rent this lodge again in the future.
