the great kindness of Eunuce and Diego + concept.
the rooms are so close to the busy road between Merida and Chichen Itza that it feels like a highway motel. Especially to hear the sounds of the jungle, the rooms have no windows. It is such a shame.

We saw a very pretty bird.
Too many to list.
Bugs in the room.
No power
No WiFi
Doors didn’t close
Toilet seat was too small for the toilet
No drain in shower
High traffic noise all night

While the room was nice, it was far too overpriced. The good: staff and surrounding green.
The bad: high price, food, sound from highway, the fact that the actual hotel practices are not eco-friendly, the so-called hiking and biking route (ends after 50 meters in dead ends).

The architecture of the apartment was fantastic, so was the experience to sleep basically directly in the nature and hear all the sounds of the jungle during the night. The staff was really friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed!
Nothing really, breakfast was a bit simple, but still delicious!

The tranquility and the immersion in the forest around. You could hear all the noises during the day! It doesn't have glass on the windows so all the sound is coming in.
The sound of the trucks in the near road. The owner told us that there is more traffic these days because they are fixing the highway and it will probably end in 3 months... But still...

Beautiful rooms! Hector was very welcoming and made us feel at home. If you like nature and truly eco friendly stays, this place is wonderful. Highly recommend it.

the villas are very special, it is like sleeping in the middle of a forest, the host is very attentive and kind

The feeling of being with nature. The absolutely homemade delicious Mexican breakfasts. Hector is a very kind and thoughtful host.
We had paid for 3 nights but unfortunately had to leave a day early. Hector told me anytime I come back I will still have a room that's been paid in full.
If you are looking to be in the jungle, yet have the protection and amenities with a room. I would highly recommend this Villa.

Breakfast was delicious! Fresh fruit, lovely coffee with milk, juice, toast, eggs and ham if you wanted. Also cookies :)
The nature sounds were amazing and the forest location is beautiful. There was some traffic noise from the highway at night.

the property is advertised as being an eco nature retreat where u sleep with the jungle and the animals. unfortunately while it is in the forest, it is also set right on a busy main highway, with trucks and buses passing all night. As there are no windows ( just screen netting) it is incredibly noisy, with whooshing traffic every few minutes that drowns out the jungle peace. very disruptive for the nervous system. it also sells a jacuzzi tub, but the water is solar powered and not hot enough to fill

Individual lodges that are surrounded with jungle with lots of privacy. No windows, but moscitonets keep the insects out of the lodge. And it works perfect! ( In other hotels we did have insect problems..) You have the being outside feeling, without the insects. I slept for 11 hours, and can't remember the last time I did that. For our next stay i would like to try the lodge that has a glass ceiling to watch the starry sky. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
Instead of adopting the rithm of the sun, I'm glad I brought my eye cover/mask to determine my own waking time. I presume that any supermarket would sell them. Tip to the owner: maybe provide these?

Hector was extremely helpful even if we had some not easy requests. The room was very clean, comfortable and really beautifull. We felt in the nature. The breakfast is excellent. The only regret we had is that we only booked 1 night and not more 😉 Staying at El Encanto Villas is a special experience. Thank you

What a wonderful find! Hector and his brother (Marcello, I think) are so wonderful. They have created a wonderful place to visit and stay. The rooms are exactly what you see in the pictures. They are open air rooms so wonderful. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind.
You will hear some traffic noise but so worth it; I was so happy with everything that the traffic noise didn't bother us.

At first we had to adapt in this beautiful eco place
Here you come at rest and it is a good stop after Chichen-Itza
The breakfast was the best we had in Yucatan
And Hector as host is the best you can have
I would say the Wifi but what a freedom to not be on your phone all of the time
more time to talk and socialize

The place is absolutely unique! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and are ready to help with anything. We booked a room with a tree inside and it is fantastic!

It was a wonderful property in the jungle with nice open air units with 360’ views and lots of room to explore.
phone reception was a little weak in certain areas

Héctor Is a wonderful host. We loved the design glamping villas, hanging out at the pool and chatting with him. Highly reccomended escape from the busy beaches. Thanks to staying at his place we got much more in touch with Yucatan culture.

Enchanting indeed! The tree suite is beautiful - an indoor/outdoor feel and 360 degree trees all around. Sleeping with a skylight view of stars and waking up to birdsong, is like camping but in a comfortable bed!
The property is a 25mim drive to Chichén Itza so we were able to arrive at 8am when it opens.
Best of all are the hosts — Hector & team cooked us a lovely dinner of pasta with fresh vegetables accompanied by an assortment of wines and liquors ... we thoroughly enjoyed our evening with them and good conversations :) In the morning also the breakfast was freshly cooked, we asked to try Chaya with eggs which were delicious.
A true gem that we will be recommending to friends.
All was excellent!
