Owner is great and thoughtful! House decor is dated but it’s part of its charm and homeyness. The rooms are great size. It has a great view of the river. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to many of Duluth’s attractions. We will stay here again!!!

We were in Duluth for a wedding and this location was within 15 min of everywhere we needed to go. Very nice view. Loved the fact that we didn't have to do alot of cleanup before we left.

My spouse, parents, and I stayed at Larry's place at the end of October. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and was warm and comfortable! The decor is dated as others have mentioned, but that's not why we stay at vrbo's - we want a place we can sleep at while we explore our destination during the day. My parents are both in a pool (billiards) league so we played pool every night before bed - and we were pleasantly surprised by the table tennis set-up as well, since none of us remembered seeing that in the listing and my dad also plays table tennis! So while we didn't spend a TON of time at Larry's place, we definitely enjoyed our stay and had plenty to do while we were there.
Also, I have to mention how much I appreciate that there was NOT a large list of "chores" to do upon check-out. I've stayed at places in the past where I feel like I have to spend the entire morning checking chores off a list in order to check out. Not here! Larry is very accomodating and flexible for his guests. A fantastic choice for us!

Nice 3 bedroom house over looking the St. Louis River. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Duluth, yet close enough to drive to all the tourist attractions. Which included Jay Cooke State Park and Canal Park in downtown Duluth.

We were looking for a property with a water view but also close enough to Spirit Mountain so we were not driving an hour to and from the wedding venue! We lucked out and found this gem. A little outdated, but so homey feeling and fun! Exactly what we needed for a 19m.o. and 6m.o. plus 4 adults! The location to canal park was amazing too! Such an amazing city! Beautiful backyard and deck! Overall we had an amazing time!

This was a great property for our weekend fishing trip. The house was amazing with the pool table and horseshoes, we were kept busy when we were not out and about. Would definitely recommend it.

We rented this property a year in advance. We arrived in the middle of a snow storm. Larry had the lights on, and the drive way all plowed out for us. Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived. Larry communicated prior to the arrival for the check in process, and it was easy! We had firewood ready to go for the fire place in the game room. We had a wonderful time, and we hope to return next year.

Great proximity to Spirit mountain Nordic center. Clean, comfortable, good communication with owner, fully stocked kitchen, quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the pool table and ping pong table. Would defiantly stay again!

Property was clean and as advertised. Garage was nice to have. Pool table and ping pong for entertainment down stairs. New furniture in the living room not the furniture in the pictures. Really nice and comfortable. Check in and out was easy. Ice make in freezer was an added plus. Deck with furniture and fire pit ready to be lit was nice also.

Excellent home base for exploring Duluth!
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay tremendously. (6 people would be very comfortable here as well). As other reviewers have noted, the house is like staying at grandma’s (very 1970s), however you can’t beat the space: 3 bedrooms, large deck and backyard with a beautiful view of the St. Louis river. We also enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables in the basement. It was very clean, quiet, and Larry was an awesome host. You are about a 15 minute drive to Canal park and maybe 20 minutes to Jay Cooke State park. Close to Spirit Mountain too. Nice place to relax after a busy day of hiking and seeing the sights in Duluth and along the North Shore.

The house was nice, clean, comfortable and everything was as expected. Larry was super nice and very responsive! My friends and I had a wonderful stay, even though the weather wasn't very agreeable!

I knew this bonus space would grab the guys attention, especially during April when we were neither skiing nor fishing. The kitchen is smaller but large dining room table and living room allow plenty of sitting space. Large bedrooms with room for our travel gear was good to find. Beds were comfortable and kitchen included enough cookware and utensils required for homemade meals. This is also the first rental we've found that includes access to the garage which was appreciated when first arrived during inclement weather. We are very interested to stay again during summer, grandchildren included, and take advantage of close proximity to Munger Landing for fishing. Another advantage we found about location of this property is that it enticed us to drive Highway 210 through Jay Cooke State Park. WOW! The views of the St. Louis River, the winding road, the hills here are just as impressive as some of the scenery along the North Shore. We stopped at the state park and walked the historic swing bridge. Larry is quick to respond and attentive to his guests. Thanks again for making our weekend memorable.

This house was very quaint and was perfect for our trip. My husband and planned this weekend away with our friends to celebrate his birthday. The game room in the basement was awesome and we were down there a lot of the time. It’s slightly dated but that doesn’t take away from the amenities. It is very close to canal park and was perfect for what we needed.

Perfect for what we needed
This property is not fancy, but totally clean and fit our needs. We totally enjoyed the lower level party area with fireplace. We would definately stay here again. Larry was also very responsive and easy to work with.
