The room was comfortable and the staff helpful.
Renovations were going on which were quite noisy. The WiFi wasn't great.

I like the hut style resort. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather. The peacock will keep you company if you are quiet. The pathways inside the property make a nice walking trail.
The staff. Many of the staff would just sit around using the WiFi and looking so bored like there was nothing to do. The WiFi was terrible kept cutting on and off, so it’s not reliable if you need it for work or download. Charging 100 D for a liter of water is ridiculous, when juice is free at breakfast. Also I wouldn’t get the custom breakfast, just keep it simple cause they have the cook taking orders, cooking, setting up the breakfast table, and serving the food from 7-10. The food is subpar at the resort so don’t expect a restaurant quality meal. The meals are more like home cooked food and the dinning area smells like cooking oil.

I had a great time at the Bamboo Village Resort. The staff (especially the kitchen staff) were very nice and friendly and the resort is such a lovely place to stay. I particularly enjoyed hearing the palm leaves blow again each other, the sound of birds, and more. I love watching the peacocks playing and the other animals playing around. I’m not so much of a swimmer but it was lovely to see the blue pool against the brown aesthetic of the resort. I’ll definitely come again.
Well, the room I stayed in was not mopped by the time I entered and there was a bit of mold in the room which later triggered an allergic reaction. But, it wasn’t too serious and they promised to take care of it when I complained.

So, because of the very good experience that I had had at the resort, I decided to extend my stay by another night and it was absolutely worth it.
I really love the hut-like buildings 🛖, the paintings by the bed, and the blue pool 🏊♂️… The breakfast wasn’t great but there were a few options to get you going for the day. The mini-zoo is one of my favourite things here and the peacock 🦚 is one I cannot stop watching. I love how it’s a welcoming place for travelers so we could connect, bond and share the experience together.
I hope to stay in this resort the next time I’m in the Gambia 🇬🇲
Well, I think the rooms could do well with a few more items such as - a small fridge, mugs, cutlery, electric kettle, cups in the bathroom, and maybe even an insecticide. Having these items in the room would have taken the experience to a whole new level.

Pool side nice, cleaning very good
Problem when checking in (my fault in this as well) causing some of the staff acting not professionally after this (not saying hi, making strange comments on the room bill) a member of the cleaning staff walked in the bungalow without knocking demanding money, a member of a staff killing a gekko on the pool side because it entered someones bungalow (thats what gekkos do) and problem with the restaurant. If you order nicoise salad, it is not a nicoise salad without potatoes and eggs. And the restaurant served it anyway. Also really bad pressure in the shower.

What a let down. We have been overcharged by £200 - booking.com said it would be 1 price, we were charged £200 more and the management at bamboo have just been rude to us about the whole affair.

Everything perfect...I definitely recommend this place.

Good location
Be careful if booking with booking.com as the hotel will charge you a made up exchange rate. So I ended up paying over €100 more than the price given by booking.com.
Breakfast starts at 7.30 but half the food doesn't come out till 8.30

the rooms are a very good size
on checking in we I had to pay for the rooms we booked months ago, I was then told that the price I booked it at months ago didn’t mean nothing and had to pay the room rate as of the day we booked in (which resulted in £80 extra per room) the facility looks run down, paint peeling off the floor in pool all over. they have wildlife in the grounds really nice to see, but then the cockerel get out every morning at around 4am and wakes you up. The doors to the rooms have huge gaps in them so bugs are constantly coming in the rooms. impossible to get a good shower as the water pressure in ridiculously poor and when the power goes off no water works so if you are in the shower you have to wait for the power to come back on to rinse off which could be 30seconds to 45mins. unable
to take food back to your room when you come in from a night out, so if you come in at 1am with a snack you have to eat it out side as no food other than what is served in hotel can be consumed even though the restaurant closes at 10pm.

Nice resort, close to the beach, and close to the centre.
Secured parking place.
Guys came for us to the airport in night.
Nice, big breakfast, but every day the same.
The door to the bathroom in our cottage was broken - not possible to close it.

Not to far to walk to Senegambia Craft Market and restaurants, plus some good local restaurants nearby like MO'2 . The room I stayed in was larger than average. Shower was good, breakfast was OK ,all in all a good stay.
Could not get any WiFi in the room, could only get it in the lobby.

Got worse every morning. Had less each day for breakfast food. Staff was lovely. Hotel was almost empty.
Hotel was is disrepair. Need lots of work. Not like representation in pictures. Pool was not working. It was dirty and broken. Too much money for what I got. The visa machine was always broken so one had to always pay by cash. This was a rip off as they charged a larger exchange rate.

Really nice location and lovely rooms, bed was comfortable and staff helpful
Pool was in maintenance and could be used (we have been notified before), issues with payment by card could be resolved with bank transfer
