The nearby town of Thomastown is known for its arts and crafts, and has a number of studios and workshops, galleries and exhibitions to visit, cafés and numerous pubs where one can unwind with a pint and some live music. From there, it is a short drive to the world-renowned Mount Juliet estate, which provides excellent facilities, including horse-riding and fly-fishing, the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, spa facilities and first-class restaurants. The City of Kilkenny is an exciting destination with a well-preserved medieval core focused on the stunning Kilkenny Castle and Gardens. It has an active arts scene with a range of galleries, studios, museums, and historic attractions. It is a great place to eat, drink, shop and explore.
