Loved the architecture of the main building and the rooms were nice complete with a balcony and view of the water
Stayed here for four nights with 5 kids and there was no cleaning service offered… I guess it’s written in their policy

We wanted to do more walking around, but the steep hill and the traffic deterred us.
We loved the views, the pool, the historical aspect, and the fitness room.
Would have loved to have access to the handicap elevators for check in. We didn't find them till check out so had to navigate several sets of stairs w heavy luggage.

Room had microwave, stove, fridge, utensils, cups, and bowls.
Staff wasn’t attentive, barely helpful, left their spot for taxi pickup when no one was near, didn’t provide assistance for basic necessities. Your hotel charged for basically everything which means towels, hand towels, toilet paper, tidying up the room, basic water that doesn’t taste chlorinated, and taxi service was over priced. The staff was so lazy they said to take out our own trash and find the dumpster so I’m basically doing their job. The room had bugs that leave you waking up with bug bites everywhere and when advised the staff they said to buy bug spray that costs over 20 dollars. The convenience shop you have onsite was closed on the first day we arrived so we had no idea where to buy or get water from besides the chlorinated water at the bar. You charge for overstaying in the room after some time in the morning but your check in time is after 3 PM ONLY IF you have rooms ready. Lastly the room that was given showed a horrible view of people being parked and we had to keep the blinds closed because people were staying in their cars and being nosey.

The location provided good views, but was inconvenient to walking anywhere. The facilities were fine, not great. The pool is nice and the bar tender at the pool was friendly.
The front desk staff was ambivalent. No smiles. Not a helpful attitude. After giving us a room that was occupied (we scared the poor girl in there to death), and us carting our luggage down and back up three flights of steps, on our return to the desk, there was no apology. Getting our check-out delayed by an hour was pulling teeth. No effort to treat us like "guests".

The view
Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9:30 am expecting us to be gone, when check is at 10:00. They did not speak English and they double charged my stay. They charged on the day of booking and then again the day of the stay. They delayed my receipt by an hour and still did not get it right!

the bar, the bar food, how basic the pool is and check in was an exceptionally long process to the point of missing a whole sunset cruise booked prior.

Both rooms had really lovely views
The bathroom of our room was not cleaned before our arrival. There was hair in the shower and the floor was dirty as well.
We requested two rooms one for three people and the other for four people, so we needed the sofa beds. They weren’t prepared so we had to do it ourselves. We would expect a 500 usd a night room to be well done when we arrive. (We spent 1000 usd for two rooms for one night)
I was surprised to know the breakfast hours when we checked in. We needed to leave at 8 to take the ferry so we couldn’t have breakfast.

the location is excellent & the villa rooms are nice & updated but we’re not clean
the parking is very awkward. They need to have more signs to tell you how to get to each villa & how to exit the property. it’s very confusing.

The restaurant served excellent meals, but took a long time to prepare. Breakfast at 10 am took 40 minutes from order entry to serving. It appeared that the wait staff was inadequate for the number of guests - they were really working hard and not keeping up.
In the evening, they had the same problem. The bar staff from the pool bar after it closed, came up and helped out. You got great people working these jobs, but not enough.
When I checked in at 2pm, the lady at the front desk had an attitude. She was barely civil. However the next morning I went down to the front desk to ask a question and the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful.
The other problem we had was with the TV. Thd first room the TV didn't work. It would come on and then after about a minute just go off. We called the front desk and they sent up a guy to look at the problem. He couldn't fix it so called down and got our room changed. He did a very nice job, was very courteous and apologized for the inconvenience. A staff person came up about 20 minutes later and switched us to a room nearby. He had already checked the TV out to make sure it was operating correctly. He was also very courteous.
We wanted to watch the US NFL semi final games. There was a rather limited number of stations and it did not include the one that played the games. I would think in a luxury hotel you would have more channels. We ended up going to the restaurant and watching it there. If you had the channels there, why not in the room.
Finally, the next morning we were pretty tired after staying up to watch the games. I called down to the front desk and asked if I could get a late check out - like 12 instead of 10. I was told absolutely not! I can understand that, but in many hotels around the world that I have stayed in, they will allow extra time and you pay for it. If you told me those extra couple of hours would cost $100, I would have agreed. Now I know that you can't instantly change all the rooms, so delaying a few rooms for extra money would allow more revenue with little extra work for the staff. In my business we will try and accommodate any customer request, but we get paid handsomely for it! You are leaving money on the table!

The room was fantastic. The location is perfect.
The staff were kind and professional.
The restaurant on the grounds is a little slow with service.
