Excellent property and great customer service

Unable to sit outside because of barking, howling dogs. The view was not as depicted on website.
Needed some safety features in bathrooms.
Also, places to hang coats would have been helpful.

The cabin is beautiful in a secluded setting. Just perfect for a weekend get-away to relax and unwind. Be mindful that Bryson City is about 30 minutes away. No other town closer that we knew of. Hot Tub was warm and relaxing! Fireplace made it extra cozy. Loved the weekend here!

This property was a bit hard to find but once we did it was well worth it. It is such a cute cabin with plenty of space. I loved the decor and the whole layout

We enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet. Accurately described. Only complaint was the hot tub barely ran. You couldn’t adjust the jets to run at a faster speed. Huge let down. Otherwise nice place.

A nice secluded cabin with all the amenities. A wonderful weekend getaway.

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend with 2 of our granddaughters in the beautiful Nantahala Forest. After exploring the surrounding areas, it was wonderful to come "home" to a clean, comfortable cabin! The hottub was the icing on the cake after days that were spent hiking, fishing, swimming, and picnicking. This area has so much to offer for all ages and the location of this cabin is centrally located to enjoy all the fun. This was our second time staying in this rental, we will be back!

We had a fabulous stay at this perfectly situated cabin. Close to Bryson City Dragons Tail Franklin Murphy and Cherokee. The area offered myriads of day trips and our 5 days there barely touched all of the things to do.

The house is beautiful on the inside. Super clean. Well decorated. Feels like home. Everything was in good working order. There are some neighbors ...down the road that have what sounds to be hunting dogs who barked all night. Owners can’t really do anything about that. The noise maker I had on my phone canceled out the noise at night so we didn’t lose any sleep but just a heads up to bring a noise maker. Check in and check out we’re super easy. I was able to text the owner with any questions and they were prompt to get back to me. Nice relaxing getaway.

This listing was amazing! The pictures didn't do the place justice! Everything was very clean and beautifully maintained. Check in process was very simple and property manager reached out for simple instructions that was detailed in rental agreement. I would seriously recommend this place and I will be staying here again in the future. The driveway is uphill but they clearly state that in listing which wasn't an issue for us because of 4 wheel drive vehicle.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a weekend at the Copes’ cabin. The location is perfect; right off the main road, but it still feels very private. Really cozy stay, and the hosts are great. Fireplace and hot tub are perfect. Nice to sit in the hot tub at night and watch the stars.
Remember that this location isn’t close to town… make sure to bring what you need, because it’s over half an hour to the Andrews Ingles if you’ve forgotten anything. Our only frustrations were that the kitchen was not stocked with any spices or oil for cooking, and that there were no lighters or matches for starting a fire (we left a lighter). Also, we found it difficult to sleep in the upstairs bed because there were critters loudly moving about in the ceiling (we moved to the downstairs bedroom and didn’t have a problem). These issues were more than made up for by the warm graciousness of the hosts, who made us feel at home and were willing to take their time to answer our questions and make sure we we’re satisfied. All in all we were very happy with our stay and would come back again. Thank you Barbara!

Property was clean and well-maintained. Barbara was quick and easy to communicate with. Hot tub was nice and worked fine.
I do have to say I wish there was some coffee, tea and basic spices in the kitchen. It’s a little off putting to see cabinets that are nailed shut and paper notes taped to the living room walls. The WiFi instructions in the email I was sent were wrong, and we had to look on the router to see what the internet password was. It would have been nice to see a list of things to do in the area as well. Also, some small shampoos and shower soap in the bathrooms as well as a hair drier would make the place completely up to par with other rental.
Overall, the rental was excellent.

Very cute and comfy cabin that’s still modern. It had everything we needed for two nights that we stayed in the area for a wedding up the road. Wifi, TV with FireStick, utensils and appliances, lots of towels. Only minor complaints - There was only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom so we had to buy more. We knew a store would probably be several miles but wish we had some information about local necessities ahead of time. The hot tub had a strong chemical smell that made us cough a lot so we opted out. We thought there wasn’t hot water in the morning but it turned out the shower faucets turn in opposite direction. So that’s just a tip for the next guests. Otherwise, it was really pleasant, comfy, and very pretty. We’d stay again.

We booked the cabin to attend a family wedding in the area. It was perfect! The cabin has everything you need for a nice peaceful weekend in the woods. So much natural light and very quiet. I enjoyed watching the deer in the morning while I drank my coffee and listening to the crickets at night. Hope to be back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at Timberwood Cottage. Barbara was by far the best host we have ever encountered and has thought of EVERYTHING you would need for a fabulous mountain get away. She is also incredibly responsive and answered messages almost immediately during our stay.
At the cabin, look for the the deer (that visit the lower crabapple tree nearly every evening) we became quite fond of them and watched them from the front porch many evenings. Be sure to stop along Wayah Road and HWY 19 to enjoy the many picturesque spots along the river.
Our excurisions included, horseback trail riding with Smokemont, rafting with Wildwater and boat rental with Lake’s End Marina (water like glass for watersports), hikes to Wesser Bald and Clingman’s Tower (take some rain gear and sturdy shoes). Oh and I can’t forget the rail tour with GSMR (5+ star experience in the Nantahala car) and a visit to Fontana Dam. We found the Road to Nowhere, visited Wheels through Time and our dinners at ShoeBooties and Lake’s End Marina were both 5 star and lunches at Pizza by The river and Boxcar Cafe and Cones were a real treat! Breakfast at Maria’s was AMAZING (yes it’s attached to a gas station, GO ANYWAY).
We will plan another visit very soon as this clean, cozy and beautifully appointed cabin felt just like a home away.

Nice and quiet
We were attending a family reunion that was held at a house on the lake. Mainly just spent evenings and mornings there . Very nice place. Extremely quiet and clean. Would stay there again if we are in that area.

Great cabin for escaping the Summer heat
God location for accessing rafting, tubing, and hiking. Higher up than Bryson City so stayed a bit cooler at the cabin, which was nice. We had a great trip and recommend the cabin for anyone looking. No Verizon wireless cell signal at the location but the WiFi was sufficient.

Great little getaway, but there was a hornets nest under the chair by the fire pit. My sister inlaw wasn't happy about getting stung, but she survived. The land fill isn't open on Sunday if your checking out that day. Otherwise everything was great!
