A localização do hostel é ótima, basicamente no coração da cidade e em um bairro bom e seguro.

A cidade de Blumenau é famosa por ser muito quente e úmida, e o hostel não possui sistema de ar-condicionado e nem mesmo um ventilador para ajudar com o calor.

The father of the owner was very friendly and helpful.

We luckily stayed in a private room because it was the same price as 2 beds in a shared room but the shared room is actually a few beds on the floor in a corridor rather than a room. In our room the light didn't work. Things in the kitchen seemed really old like eg. super old tea that wasn't drinkable or spices that have been there for quite some time I reckon.

We really enjoyed the one day at Blumenau. The owner welcomed us instantly and made his place to ours. It felt like home. He helped us with discovering the city and learning portugues. All in all we would recommend the place.

Good location near the center but also quiet. The owner is very nice providing some free fruit.

Only one bathroom for all the guest to share which was not convenient when someone was there too long. Japanese style bedding was a new experience in Brazil.
