Very nice little cottage

The Cottage at Mill Bay was a restful haven. It was our last stop on a two weeks journey around the island, and it could not have been more perfectly suited. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and calm, the beach is a two minute walk away and was also supremely peaceful with eagles and seals often there with us. The views of the Bay from each Cottage window never failed to impress us (especially the outstanding sunrises). The surrounding area is very convenient for any type of activity: day trip into Victoria, visit a winery, explore nature (we toured the Malahat SkyWalk and hiked Kinsol Trestle), shop at local farmer's markets. All 30 minutes or less from home! The home itself is generously stocked with kitchen supplies, blankets, towels, etc. The multiple balconies were enjoyable to cozy up on each morning and night. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Nuala!

We stayed 8 nights and wished we had stayed longer! The cottage is in a great location, has been beautifully renovated, and is very comfortable. We cooked more than a few times during our stay both in the kitchen and on the outdoor grill (which was squeaky clean and came with handy bbq tools). The kitchen is very well equipped and the dishwasher is quiet. The bedrooms have amazing custom closets with a place for everything. There was even a yoga mat in one of the bedrooms; a nice touch which we welcomed. The beds were comfortable and the linens crisp. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of fluffy white towels and the basket of individual Neutrogena make-up remover pads was a nice addition. The two decks were a joy to sit out on and watch the sunset and the beautiful view. Nuala was a wonderful host and very responsive. We are already looking at our calendars to plan a return visit.

We spent just 1.5 days here but the house was clean and perfectly located for visiting the nearby boarding school. Will definitely return again!

Very nice place by the ocean with excellent view. Close to amenities. There's something for everybody whether it's a sunny beach or hikes with vistas. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Peaceful, spacious and very clean! Well stocked kitchen, comfy beds and a great view, close to shopping and easy to find. Communication was quick and clear. We had a very enjoyable time and hope to return one day.

What an adorable cottage! Way better than staying in a hotel. Very relaxing, with beautiful views. Had amazing sleeps in the comfy bed and soft sheets. The home was super clean, the host is very accommodating and extremely friendly! I would book this place every time I go over to the island from now on. :)

We were only able to stay for 4 days at the cottage. During those 4 days we enjoyed the view the location and the facilities. I’ve never seen such a well equipped kitchen in a rental

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The view is beautiful. The house is comfortable, lots of storage, and a well equipped kitchen.

This is a spacious comfortable property that was a wonderful place to stay in. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The heat pumps kept the space a comfortable temperature. We’re very much enjoyed our stay and would rent it again next time we are in the area.

Nothing but good things to say about the cottage. The location was absolutely perfect. Great location with a 3 minute drive to the supermarket. Well appointed kitchen. Excellent communication from the host. Wonderful sunrise views. We had a great time and were very impressed. Comfortable beds and nicely decorated.

My only suggestion to improve an already beautiful home would be a couple of hooks in the bathroom. We struggled with places to hang our bath towels to dry. We plan to return again one day.

This was an ideal location for a quick getaway to Vancouver Island. The property is so close to so many recreational opportunities and Nuala keeps the place in great condition with all the amenities needed to have a "home away from home".

We loved staying here with our two year old twins. The house was spacious and clean. I wish there were more beaches within walking distance, but Shawnigan lake is a short drive away, as are many other activities. The view from this place is awesome.
