We were very upset that after driving 1,100 miles there was an issue that required immediate attention (very loud humming noise which somehow resolved itself after 45 min or so), it was advertised there would be an ample supply of firewood at our disposal for the firepit in the back yard (not one stick was there) and the firepit looked like it hadn't been cleaned out in MANY months! Floor tiles in the kitchen were cracked and uneven, there was no dishwasher as advertised and we found dirty dishes in the cupboard as well as dishes left in the dish rack. The bedroom closets had random decor items in them which made us feel we were sleeping in storage rooms. There were no dressers to put our folded clothes in,with the exception of the closet we had to live out of our suitcases, even hotel rooms have dressers. The couch and two chairs were sooo uncomfortable we had to either sit on the dinning chairs or try to sit on the floor to visit with family or watch TV (my husband is 70 and I am 67) this was inconvenient to say the least. There was an ionizer/air purifier running when we arrived which we turned off because it was very loud, but we soon learned why it was there because after it was off for about a day we began to smell a musty, moldy odor, I had to rewash ALL of our clothes when we got home. The front porch steps are hazardous, uneven step heights and not properly lit at night, my pregnant granddaughter almost fell because of this! Our dogs liked the back yard.

This property was comfortable and clean. Loved the backyard.

The proximity to our event was the main positive to this stay and the decor was cute. But, that is pretty much where the positives end. Upon arriving the house smelled of mildew and mold. I purchased Lysol to attempt to deodorize the air and surfaces we would touch. Yes, it is an older home but I have stayed in other old homes that did not have that smell. There was broken glass in the kitchen floor when we arrived, it smelled like a dead mouse(?) in the kitchen, and aside from the beds being made with clean sheets, it didn’t appear the house had been cleaned before our arrival. The shower drain was clogged to the point the water was ankle deep while showering. I used drain-o to try to alleviate the issue which didn’t work well. I did reach out to the property manager just so they were aware the place was unclean, and they did offer to send someone over to clean, but I had already cleaned the house at that point. The living room rug was nasty and matted, the furniture also didn’t seem clean. The only place I would sit was at the kitchen table on chairs that I could sanitize. We just needed a place to shower and sleep so we decided to just stay since there wasn’t anything closer that was available. The place could be a nice place to stay with some renovations and deep cleaning.

We stayed a week to visit family. Plenty of space for the two of us 70 yo's. Very clean, well arranged, appliances are fine, no dishwasher. Large windows for plenty of natural light. Accessability at entrance may be a problem for some, i.e. gravel walkway, high steps onto porch. Curb appeal is a 5/10. Interior paint on woodwork, cabinets needs freshened. Beds are comfortable, firm. Linens provided are fresh, with extras. Owner/manager is very attentive, responsive to inquiries. We will be back.

Read the other reviews for information about the house. It is not set up for extended stay. Everything has to go on floor...no places to put bags. No where to put your stuff in bathroom either. The couch should be replaced...I was afraid to even sit. Wobbly legs and buttons all missing. Good location other than the train that passes ever so often and in the middle of the night. The house is clean, secure with deadbolts and private backyard are the positives.

The house was clean and cozy, and the yard was large and secure for our dogs! The bed was comfortable and my husband liked the water pressure in the shower. The house was central to everything but it is on a busy road. The only complaint is there were only 2 forks in the kitchen; maybe the last guests borrowed them?!

I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is the first time I have ever had a negative experience. I booked this house because it had 4.5 stars on VRBO; I'm now not sure why. We arrived late and in the dark our first night and were jolted awake at 4:00 am by a passing train's horn and the screech of it's wheels on the track. (Think My Cousin Vinny.) The furnishings were nice but incredibly sparse. There was no where to put our suitcases and clothes except on the floor. For four people sharing a bathroom, there was no counter space to put our toiletries. I had to leave them in a bag on the floor. The couch was missing decorative buttons which left holes all across the seating. But maybe the worst part was that every single plate, bowl, and piece of silverware I pulled out of the cabinets and drawers had dried food on them. Not to mention the fact that there were hardly any dishes in the cabinets, not even enough glasses for four of us. The only bright spot was management response. When we arrived, there was no coffee maker as stated in the amenities. The following day, management kindly brought one by. I'm sure we paid more for this house than others because it was a football weekend, but even at a lower price, I would definitely not rent this property again. Sorry to write such a negative review, but these are all things I would have liked to have known before selecting this property.

This house has GREAT A/C so that is nice when coming in during the very hot months. Great location if coming in for U of Ark events. House was very clean but def smelled like an old house that needed fresh air scent. It bothered us a lot so we did go buy plug ins. Couple things I'd just mention is the description of the kitchen might be a bit off. It is not a large kitchen and the washer and dryer actually sit in the kitchen. Also there is no dishwasher so just be prepared w paper plates etc or be ready to do dishes. Listing says it's fully stocked but I'd call this stocked w/ the minimal basics. appreciate there is a keurig in the house.

Green House
Overall we had a good stay at the property. We were moving to the area and needed a place to stay until our house was finished and we could close/move into our new home. We stayed approximately 4 weeks at the property, which was a bit long. The house would be great for short stays, but poses challenges for longer stays. It is small and the washer and dryer are literally in the kitchen and are incredibly noisy. The property sits next to a main street in Fayetteville and is very close to many attractions/events, however, is has a lot of noise from traffic and the train that is across the street. Again, our stay was good, but would not suggest this property for long stents, especially if you work from home as there is a lot of noise, whether from inside or out.

Centrally located property close to U of A, grocery store, dog parks, museum, botanic gardens & state parks! House was just enough space for our family of four & 2 dogs. Great water pressure for shower & bathroom stocked with essentials. Kitchen was clean & stocked with essentials. Fire pit in back yard was a bonus we got to enjoy our first night, unfortunately it rained a lot.

The house itself was just what we needed. Beds & sheets were very nice - typically this is something go cheap on & I appreciated the quality. Location next to a very busy street was definitely not ideal - even with earplugs at night. The traffic lights through the sheer curtains at night, loud cars, police/ambulance, & trains. You name it, you will hear it every night & early into the morning. As great as the house was, we wouldn't stay here again for that reason.

Nice house, comfortable beds, good location, but on the corner of a very busy street with train

Weekend in Fayetteville
We enjoyed our stay. The management company was responsive and easy to work through. The bedrooms were very large for the size of the home. The location is right next to the railroad so that can impact your sleep. Otherwise a nice stay.

Quick trip get-away
This property was very well appointed and most importantly to travelers: VERY CLEAN! We enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. It was a quick trip to visit our Razorback and appreciate the 1 night rental. The owners were very responsive to our questions before the trip.

Bedrooms could be more comfortable
Everything about the house was pretty good. The only things you might want to pay attention to is the mattress in master bedroom. It comfortable and sinks in the middle. The bedroom and bathroom doors squeak really bad. The stove top burners could use a deep clean. We cooked quite a bit and it caused a lot of smoke. Also just trying to get the air more regulated in the house. We froze in living room and hot in bedrooms. I know some of this comes with older houses but just trying to help. I probably wouldn’t be able to stay here again because of the bed in the master. I had to move to the couch several times. Hope this helps. Thank you! The management company was very helpful.
