Located in Kill Devil Hills, this charming house for $240 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Beautiful private "SUPER CLEAN" apartment located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills called "Sunset Surf Shack". This is a private studio apartment attached to the back of our house that has a separate door & private access to the apartment through a private stair entry with a key code door lock. You can walk directly across the street to the sound access gazebo where you can see the sunset & launch our kayaks. The bike path is directly in front of our home which takes you to the Wright Brothers Memorial and many local restaurants & venues. The beach is just across the street (.5 miles)with FREE parking at ALL beach accesses. Our local boat ramp is a few blocks away w/free parking & boat launch. Kill Devil Hills is located between all the amazing attractions in the Outerbanks. We are centrally located between 4 of the most amazing lighthouses on the Outerbanks. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse all with in driving distances. You can also drive to Hatteras and take the Ocracoke Ferry for free for the day. We have a separate A/C and heater unit for you to control the temperature. We provide a freshly made queen size bed & wash our comforters after each guests leaves. We also have a queen size couch bed that has an extra mattress pad for comfort. Soft fluffy towels are provided & we wash our bath mats each check in as well. A small cooler & ice packs are provided as well as beach towels. We have 2 awesome Electra beach cruisers & one has a basket & a men's bike. The beach is a half mile across the street. Food Lion & Publix is right down the street behind our house plus many awesome restaurants within biking distance. We have a 5* bathroom with a beautiful blue waterfall sink and a lovely large sized shower with beautiful glass doors. Shampoo, body wash, and conditioner is provided.

I usually get a hotel but I rented Verbo all this past year because of the positive experiences I've had.My daughter's alway's go away for Christmas to spend time with their family (my late husband's family) I needed rest and relaxation to get through yet,another Christmas alone. Honestly where do I start, an amazing host with the most amazing communication! The host made sure we did not lose out on any fun! And is in the perfect location! A few minutes away from everything. Will definitely be staying here again!

They advertised kayaks to use but didn’t have a way to transport them. I felt that they shouldn’t be listed. I asked for a $100.00 refund but I didn’t receive a response. We spent more then that on renting kayaks. Take that out of the picture then I’d say it’s a cute little vacation location.

Amber and Brett's place is fantastic! It is in a quiet neighborhood across the street from a bike path and bay. The bikes they have for guests were a real treat and fun to use while exploring the area. Their place is exactly as described only better. We hope to be able to stay again if we are in the area.

We had a great stay at this property. We had two adults and a six-year-old in our party. It was perfect for our needs. The owners were very thoughtful in the things they made available with the property: board games, information on attractions and personal suggestions, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, ice packs, kayaks, bicycles, and beach toys. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few of the really nice touches of having just what you need, didn’t think about, or forgot. The location was great. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. We were a very short drive to easy parking for the beach. We also felt like the location was great for cutting down on time driving to all of the other locations and attractions we wanted to see and do: Wright Brothers National Memorial, lighthouses, dunes, Corolla to see the horses, etc. We had family staying in Duck and we seemed to be able to get around much easier. We will definitely look into booking here again.

The owners of the vrbo were incredibly polite and helpful. They left beach chairs and an umbrella, the room/bathroom were spotless and cleaned and they provided all the standard essentials including paper towels and silverware. We would absolutely go back. 10/10

The studio apartment was great. It had everything we needed and was very clean and nicely decorated. We used the bikes which was fun. The bike trail was across the street and we got to explore the area. It was perfect for a few days alone before our big family vacation!

Amber and Brett’s apartment above their house was perfect for my husband and I.( perfect for two people). It was very clean and decorations were fun and beachy. It had everything we needed including bikes and kayaks, we used the bikes almost daily to get to the beach. Amber communicated quickly and was super friendly, she gave a lot of advice for activities and restaurants. Kill Devil Hills is a great area with everything you need we would definitely stay here again. Thank you again!

We recently stayed a couple of nights here on our Outer Banks vacation. It was very clean and perfect for what we needed. Quiet neighborhood with a beautiful gazebo area just across the street to watch the sunset. Brett and Amber are excellent hosts. They recommended several places to eat and activities in the area. Would definitely visit again.

New and fresh studio with lots of recreational toys available for getting out on the beach or in the water. Nice quiet location away from the highway and right across the street from the water. The Wright brothers are just a short bike ride away!?! What more could you ask for?

There is absolutely nothing to complain about. It’s definitely a cozy, small space, but it was perfect for three people. The pullout bed was so comfy. We only made drinks and warmed food, so the kitchen space had everything we needed. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back!

We had a good experience overall. Everything was as described. My only complaint is that there was only 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 people/2 night stay. We ran out but it was eventually replenish. We would stay again.
