This single-family residence is perfect for your next family beach retreat and features a gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining table with seating for six, a colorful living area with a large, wall-mounted, flatscreen TV, and a private, furnished balcony. On-site, this property boasts brick-paved streets, environmentally-friendly landscaping and lighting, and a shared, community pool. What's nearby: Public beach access is just a short walk away at West Beach Pass where you can lounge on the sand by the lagoon or head under the bridge to play in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico! I first want to start off by saying if you plan to bring your dogs, book your stay through ab&b because there’s no pet fee and a hidden one through VRBO. The house was great and well-kept, easy walk to the beach which made beach visits very convenient. There are 4 full baths which made it quick to clean up after the beach/pool. It was also nice they had some board games and books for us to use. The front patio is completely enclosed so it was nice to relax out there with the dogs and not have to worry about them running off (also toddler friendly). It wasn’t an issue for us, but this house is not ideal for anyone who has a hard time going up or down stairs.
During our stay the house was infested with fruit flies when we got there, and the management company suggested we look for the insecticide that was supposed to be in a drawer in the house, and to use apple cider vinegar to kill them. When I told them I didn’t have apple cider vinegar and there wasn’t any insecticide anywhere in the house, they responded that they don’t provide those things. We ended up just dealing with it for the full week unfortunately. Heads up that there are literally no spices left in the kitchen so we even had to purchase salt and pepper. The door deadbolt function is very weird and there were no directions on how to lock the front door. Luckily we found a previous review that explained it. You have to lift upward on the handle to close the deadbolt, then you can twist the knob that seems like it would actuate the deadbolt. All the knob does is prevent the handle from moving. The WiFi was extremely slow so be aware if you plan on doing anything important that requires a stable signal (work call etc…).
Overall we enjoyed the house for our vacation and would stay there again if it’s available. We’ll just make sure to bring apple cider vinegar and book through the “other site” next time.

We loved staying at this property! It is a beautiful home and it was wonderful that it was dog friendly so that our furry family member was able to join us. Location is great also; it is located near a walking trail and pier and just a few minutes drive to town and multiple resturants. We will definately book again!!

I loved this cottage. It was exactly as described in the listing. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of a couple of issues. The biggest problem was when locking the door from the inside the handle needs to be slightly lifted. This information is not given and it took about 20 minutes between two phone calls before learning this. A sign near the door would be helpful. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, but if you want salt, pepper, cooking spray or anything needed for cooking, you need to bring it. Finally, it wasn’t a problem with the group we had, but there are many steps, both inside and out, which may be difficult for some. Otherwise, it was an awesome cottage! Many beach chairs and toys are provided and it’s the perfect place when traveling with a dog. I would absolutely stay again now that I am aware of the few issues I had.

We loved the beachy decor of the fresh and clean beach cottage. Both the gulf beach and inner bay were within easy walking distance. This beach cottage was perfect for our Thanksgiving getaway with family!

The property was very well maintained. I wish we knew there was more outside equipment for us to use because I bought some before we came. But maybe that was an oversight on my part. Overall great location and house!

This is our second year at this home, and we will be renting for a third. The home is modern and decorated beautifully and you have all the amenities of home. Right on the lagoon, and the beach is just a short walk away. The community is quiet and the pool is a short walk away, right behind the cottage. Our son loves to fish and he can go right behind the home, there’s a pier out into the lagoon, for hours! We’ve met some lovely people both years we’ve stayed here, the neighbors are such a joy! Rich and Beth are such wonderful people to work with, they make sure you feel right at home. We can’t wait for next year!!

We loved the house and neighborhood. It was modern and clean. The pool was a nice alternative when we had enough beach. The beach was less than a 10 minute walk away. The lagoon was beautiful to walk around in the evening too. I would highly recommend this house.

If you are looking for a perfect getaway where you need just to fill the fridge with food, you have found it! The kitchen is PACKED with everything you need gadget wise, plus some. All of the beds were super comfy and the home is very welcoming. The fact that every bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower is a HUGE win for us! We had a group of 8 plus the dog and we had enough space for all of us. They had plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, a cooler and even a wagon to bring everything down to the beach. It’s a short walk as well! We felt right at home and can’t wait to come back next year.

This home was very convenient to the pass and to the beach. It was clean. Locking the door was tricky but the manager of the property was quick to tell us how to do get the door locked. Would definitely be a repeat destination.

We loved our stay at the West Side Cottage unit MM. The unit was very very clean when we arrived. The location is great. It’s an easy 5 minute walk on a path that begins behind the property to the public beach access. There is a wagon, 4-5 beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and sand toys for your use. Parking underneath the unit was convenient. The unit has a balcony with a comfy couch and chair and a table with benches. It’s gated, which is great for a dog. Our pup loved hanging out on the balcony with us. We spent a lot of time out there and we were happy the balcony doesn’t overlook the pool. It felt private, as only one unit next door faces the same way. There are dog waste stations and a great walking path/sidewalk behind the unit. The unit itself was lovely. It’s only two years old so it’s very clean and modern with a great beachy theme. The beds were so comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. There were games and books and the TV had a lot of apps (Netflix etc). We had everything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend you don’t hesitate to book it.

#MM is immaculately maintained, perfectly cleaned, very roomy and well stocked with everything you need for vacation. The unit & the location are extremely dog-friendly with a huge front porch (with high railing) facing the lagoon (you can see it between 2 other units), walking trail with multiple doggie-bag/trash can stations. Most days we took our dog swimming in the lagoon when the sandbar was up - tons of fun! The full kitchen is stocked with utensils & appliances (blender, coffee maker, toaster, much more). All bedrooms (2nd floor) have their own bathroom (with hairdryers - thank you!) + an extra full bathroom on the 1st floor. The underneath parking is massive & includes a grill, hose (we used it on our dog daily) & shower (cold only). Beach access is across the street and a short walk - there is a beach wagon available for use so it was easy. No complaints, only compliments for this wonderful cottage. A couple warnings: the steps to get up to the cottage are very narrow & steep so be careful with kids & dogs or yourself if you’re carrying a lot of stuff. Also, this unit has no real “view” it faces the back of other units with a small view of the lagoon in between. If you’re looking for a beautiful, clean condo with tons of room for your group to spread out, this is a winner!

This house is beautiful and very well appointed. The location is between the lagoon and the beach so walking to either is convenient. You can fish or kayak in the lagoon. Nice pier and area to walk your dog. Also a fenced deck for the dog to hang outside. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

The location of your home is amazing. A quick walk to the lagoon and to the beach. The house had everything we could have needed and then some. The outside shower and hose made it easy to clean shells I found while using the grill. A wide variety of bathrooms made the stay even more amazing. Thank you for a great vacation home.

Everything was fine until someone from the company called to say we had a complaint about our dog. She said If they receive another we would have to leave, or we may want to board. I explain to the caller that the only time the dog was on the porch was when we was out there. I asked her several times if that was a problem being on the porch with us, she would not answer me. When she would bark we would put her inside. She started to say something about us being from Louisiana. Which had nothing to do with our dog. The pool was not cleaned daily, because the same wet paper towels were on the pool deck for 3 days. Could not take our 2 young grandkids in the pool since you could not see the bottom. Last, the house moves, when someone is coming up the stairs to the top floor the house moves.

The house was very comfortable. Situated in a quiet area with not too much traffic, we felt safe to walk about the nearby fishing pier, walkway, and across the street to the beach. Would recommend!
