Red Roof Cabin at Spotted Bear Retreat
About this cabin rental
Only 10 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park and a short drive to the Hungry Horse Reservoir and nearby Flathead Lake, our cabins are your perfect home base for exploring everything the area has to offer. Built during the 1950s while the Hungry Horse Dam was being constructed, these cabins were simple dwellings and at one time were without plumbing or electricity. They have been completely renovated, including new HVAC and are now darling little vacation homes with a lot of character and history. This stylish little A-frame cabin features climate controlled heating and air conditioning, a comfortable king bed in the upstairs bedroom loft, and a big bathroom with double vanity. The kitchen is stocked with all essentials for cooking homemade meals, including basic spices and a coffee bar. The living area includes a queen size pullout sofa bed as well. *If you are traveling with a group see our other Spotted Bear listings and stay together!

We stayed for a few nights while checking out Glacier National Park. It's a great spot to base your adventures on the west side of the park as it is just 10 minutes away from the West Glacier entrance

Property as advertised, good use of space, very clean, well appointed. Washer/dryer huge bonus. Very convenient location to Glacier National Park as well as store, several restaurants, etc. Great communication with owner. Would definitely rent again.

We stayed at the Spotted Bear and we visited Glacier NP. Great location and hospitality and clean. It was also convenient to do laundry there.
FYI- There is not a stove or a toaster, but they left a hot plate to cook on.

After two nights of tent camping on our 3-week road trip, this little cabin was a perfect place to reset, relax and do some laundry. Everything was in great condition and the cabin is well-equipped.

Was worth it!!!
The cabin is tight for a family of four but it worked out. The host was on point with his suggestions for the park. John was responsive. If your looking for a nice place to stay outside of Glacier this is the place.

When we arrived, we did not see anyone around and I had not received the check-In information at this time, so fortunately the neighbor met us outside and told us how to get into the cabin. Other than this situation, everything was fine.

We booked this place for the proximity to the park entrance, and found it to be the perfect setup for us. Freshly remodeled, clean, and comfortable—- it was appointed with everything we needed. The newly installed air conditioner was a real blessing with the heat wave we had during our visit, and it was great to have a washer/dryer to take care of our dirty hiking clothes. We highly recommend this property.

This was the perfect cabin for a vacation! I stayed here with my husband and 2 small children, who were able to comfortably sleep on the futon. The space was a little tight but honestly we didn't spend much time indoors so it was perfect!
This was hands-down the cleanest place we've ever stayed, too. The cabin had all the essentials needed for a great stay - dish soap and laundry detergent, which worked out perfectly.
It was close proximity to Glacier NP, only about 10 minutes drive from the west entrance.
The only thing that would have made it better would be a faster internet connection for the evenings. However, I have a feeling that had more to do with the strain on the available data in the area based on all the people near GNP, because our cell phone service was limited too.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a small, pet-friendly accommodation near Glacier.
