Debbie was fabulous! As a result of a family emergency plans had to be altered. Debbie was very accommodating and took a major stress off my plate of chaos. The house was lovely. Great location. Such a cute area. The kids loved the neighborhood park and ice cream shop. We will definitely be back.

This was an amazing location so close to everything and set in a historic mansion neighborhood - as a realtor I greatly appreciated the architectural styles abound and the wonderful neighborhood feel. The cottage itself was super user friendly and adorable. Being able to overlook the beautiful garden and pond beyond with the abundance of birds was so lovely. I came to Ohio for surgery and left feeling like I was there on vacation.

We stayed for two weeks while I was recovering from a surgery. The place is a nicely remodeled 100? year-old house. Very modern kitchen and both of the bedrooms have skylight with an office space. The stairs to the office space in each room are of bunkbed type so older folks be ware. The master bedroom mattress is very comfortable. The room has lots of full sized dressers to use. One of the windows faces the lake from the master and both of the windows face the lake from the other bedroom. The beds in the other bedroom are comfortable too with their own bathroom.
The living room is large with two large doors to a Juliet balcony overlooking the lake. Very peaceful and lots of birds to watch. The yard has a fire pit, grill, kids swing, and chairs. The lake is not fenced off so be mindful if you have small children. The living room has a large wall-mounted TV with the host's Apple TV included as well as other add-ons, e.g., Netflix. There are no TVs in the bedrooms.
The location is about 10 minutes from the Cleveland Clinic main campus. Lots of food options that deliver themselves or through Uber Eats.
The host Debbie is great. Very responsive and goes out her way to take care of any issues that arise. Our issue was that AT&T was doing work on the street and somehow broke the internet connection. Of course, this is not the host's fault but she really went out of her way to make it right by offering a discount right away (without us asking!) and having AT&T come out the next morning to fix it. This just speaks that in an unlikely event something does go wrong, don't worry too much as Debbie will take care of it and make sure your are satisfied with the resolution.

We had a serious health issue in our family that required a 5 week stay close to Cleveland Clinic…. It was an awesome place to come back to in the middle of a city to find a beautiful relaxing setting to soothe our anxieties. I felt very safe. Great place for walking! Very light traffic.

Extremely Relaxing!

I was surprised by the number of texts I kept receiving from them throughout their stay. They were so overwhelmed and enchanted by the beautiful home and the gorgeous surroundings. I got the "nature report" and they were thrilled to have spotted a Blue Heron! Deborah is an amazing and very responsive host. She was in touch with me before and during their stay just to make sure that things were to their liking. I cannot say enough how welcomed the newlyweds felt and how much they enjoyed everything about their stay at Blue Heron. It truly was a blessing to have discovered this quiet, elegant gem in the middle of a busy metropolitan area. Thank you for making this time a very treasured memory for the newlyweds. My husband and I are hoping to visit there also!

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Neighborhood
We stayed here while we were in town visiting family. This house was perfect for our family. Everything is updated and new throughout the house and the garden was gorgeous with the fall colors! When we arrived there was fresh French bread and a nice bottle of wine waiting for us. We would definitely come back to stay again. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Shaker Heights.

This was our first VRBO experience. We are so fortunate because it was a terrific stay. The owner's attention to detail made our trip very special. The setting is beautiful as it is on a small lake. The house had everything we needed. We felt cozy and comfortable. The owner provides a starter kit that got us through our five day stay. Owner is following cleaning protocols too so we felt safe as we are mask wearing folks who are worried about Covid 19.

Wonderful Stay in Shaker
Deborah's home was PERFECT for us. BEAUTIFUL location and views of the lake. The house get's great light and had everything we needed. Deborah was very responsive and a great resource for anything we needed. HIGHLY recommend.

Family visit
Our stay was very enjoyable. The home was clean, spacious and comfortable. Deborah welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a fresh loaf of bread from the local bakery. The kitchen and bath where well stocked with everyday necessaties. We enjoyed sitting along the lake shore and barbequeing on the private patio overlooking the lake.

Lovely property
Everything about our visit was great. The property was clean and nicely furnished. It was well stocked with necessities and Deborah even left us a bottle of wine and some snacks. The lake is gorgeous. We ate dinner at the patio table and enjoyed a fire lakeside. The neighborhood is beautiful with historic homes, independent restaurants and a nearby nature center. It was perfect for our family of four. Note that there is only 1 shower (no bathtub) and the shower is in the bathroom off the master bath. This wasn’t a problem for us but could be challenging for 2 couples sharing the rental or if everyone in your group isn’t on the same schedule.

Great location and nice accommodations
This property is in a great location if you plan to be active in the heights and/or university circle. Very nice to be on the water, too. The owner was very responsive and helped us resolve a wi-fi problem. Furniture is a bit dated, but the house was great for our 4-person (2 adults, 2 teenagers) family.
