Perfection in paradise with hosts who were also perfect

The owners who were so helpful and kind. The house had so much character and we saw so much wildlife. Great air conditioning and outdoor shower. The secret waterfall and river!

Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Sehr spezielle Unterkunft, man fühlt sich wie im Dschungel. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und Xavier und Anne sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Die Bungalows sind einfach ausgestattet, man darf keinen Luxus erwarten.

Die Lage von unserem Bungalow war nicht ganz optimal (direkt beim Parkplatz und an der Strasse).

Heerlijk, ontspannen, verbazingwekkend verblijf!

De locatie is werkelijk zo mooi, tussen het groen, veel vogels, fantastisch uitzicht ( met een prachtige zonsondergang) en op het perceel een eigen waterval! Er staan 5 of 6 huisjes maar je hebt het gevoel alsof je er alleen bent. Zeker als je van de natuur houdt is dit een fantastische plek, voor ons de mooiste plek tot nu toe waar we ooit geslapen hebben. Op korte afstand met de auto van het strand van Malendure ( goed om te snorkelen), restaurants in de nabijheid, kortom een prachtige plek om van daaruit Guadeloupe te verkennen. Super welkom door de eigenaar met veel informatie, nog bedankt!

We had a wonderful time in paradise! The house we rented was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped - especially the outdoor kitchen. We loved every detail. On the property itself, we could choose between taking a swim in a small waterfall or in the jungle pool that was very well maintained. The owner provided us a great welcome with a fruity surprise in the fridge and great recommendations for eating out. We would definitely love to come back!

Superb

The resort is basically inside the national park, which is very enjoyable if you love nature. We got to walk through the tropical forest on the way to our private cottage; we got to feed the small birds (and lizards) on our private terrace every morning; we got the option to hike a few minutes to a little private waterfall where we could swim in fresh water (the water is, of course, colder than in the sea). There was also a well-equipped kitchen, a partly pre-stocked fridge and some complementary alcohol to get is up and running on our first night. Other perks included surprisingly good WiFi, a pool, and as much privacy as you can reasonably expect in a resort. The hosts were welcoming and spoke English, which was a win.

The resort is built in a non-intrusive, eco-friendly way, which on balance is a very good thing. But this also means that the pathways to the cottages are less than ideal for carrying a suitcase, especially since we got a cottage uphill. In addition, the separation between the toilet, the shower, and the bedroom was less than clear-cut (and so was the separation between the inside and the outside, which is part of the experience but may initially come as a surprise). The location of the resort also means a steep 5-minute climb from the coastline (if you're walking). The surrounding area feels reasonably safe and there is some lighting at night, but it certainly did not feel as secure as a gated retreat once we started coming up to the cottage in the dark. The closest amenities are also more than a stone's throw away, with the closest supermarket around 15 minutes away and the closest beach, Malendure, around 30 minutes away on foot. There is another (pebble) beach that the host told us about which is a tad closer and more private, but it also involved hiking up and downhill through a forest. But as long as you prefer being close to nature to the extra comforts of a 5-star hotel, all of these things are an easy trade-off.

Perfect for a relaxing short break with family and friends

The welcome, the gardens, visit to the river with Xavier and Bounty the dog, the relaxed atmosphere, the pool, the friendly people in the nearby village

The gardening a bit too early in the morning nearby but that's a local ritual that nobody can do much about, you'll just have to use the hamac for a siesta in the afternoon :-)

Feels like a Creole house in a botanical garden

The guest houses are set in a beautiful tropical garden with a pool area. The property has its own access to a natural swimming area in the river. From the hammock on our Veranda we could watch the banana quits and 2 different kinds of hummingbirds. The setting of each house affords the guests complete privacy. The owners welcomed us with Planters Punch and fresh fruit. They were always available and ready to help or answer questions. Their restaurant recommendations were very good ( esp the Sunset B!)

best place ever…in nature, beautiful, peaceful …kind owner…everything was perfect! welcome drinks and fruit were very nice😊. you see colibris and other birds on your terrace, beautiful pool…loved it.

Place is amazing abd tour host Xavier is superb!!

Cottage was super clean and provided nice space for the family of 2 adults and 2 kids.

property is amazing! it is in the middle of jungle even it is close to street, but you don’t notice it. property is vast and offers swimming pool and small stream where one can bath. Flora is absolutely great!

The owners are fantastic people and have created a milieu where one feels in paradise. We highly recommend it to everyone. Amazing jungle paradise!

Spacious room with an amazing outdoor kitchen situituated in a beautiful jungle atmosphere. Pool very clean and spacious. Really nice touch to provide welcome drinks, food etc! Hosts are extremely attentive. Great value and even more beautiful than the photos. We also really enjoyed Xavier's tour of the nearby river and his knowledge of the local vegetation
