Unwind on 1,394 feet of covered wrap around decking featuring an outdoor fireplace, propane grill, dining, and lounge areas. Perfect to enjoy from your cup of coffee in the morning, to a nice glass of wine in the evening! First floor features a stunning fully stocked kitchen with hickory cabinets, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and island seating for two. MASSIVE solid wood dining table for 10+. Two piece powder room. Cathedral ceiling with open loft area. Floor to ceiling gas fire place. Convenient mudroom with EXTRA LARGE laundry. Master suite with a king size bed, Smart TV, electric fire place, and four piece bathroom makes the perfect romantic hideaway! Second floor features a bedroom with a queen bed, Smart TV, and electric fireplace! Loft area has a queen sized day bed over looking the living and dining space, and a full bath! The basement boasts two bedrooms both with queen over queen bunks, Smart TV's, and electric fire places! The main living space has a BIG screen Smart TV, comfortable wrap around couch, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game, and a pool table! Step outside of the walk out basement to your secluded oasis featuring a hot tub and bistro lights, and onto the lighted stone path that will lead you to an over sized fire pit for s'mores and smiles!!! Any and all professional photoshoots, videography, productions, and/or commercial and professional services must be disclosed and approved for an additional fee! ***Any booking taking place over a holiday requires a 3 night minimum***

We were all amazed at the accommodations!! We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and everything we needed was there. The house was awesome! There was plenty of room for everyone!!

Our stay at the Byers Retreat was excellent! We had a great weekend with every amenities we needed plus more for a girls weekend getaway... hot tub, fire pit, great size kitchen, outdoor table seating, game room and games!! We couldn't have rented a better cabin for our weekend! I would highly recommend a stay here for a large group. It was big enough for all of us and so cute how it was decorated and it included everything!! Thank you!

Selfishly, I’d like to keep this hidden gem to myself. But the right thing to do would be to shout from the (hocking) hilltop how fantastic this rental is.
First and foremost, the cabin itself is beautifully designed with amazing amenities. I was impressed with how modern things felt while still feeling rustic and cabin-like. The beds were comfortable and warm—and the custom bunks are queen sized. On BOTH top and bottom y’all. The master king was perfect for my small family and the en-suite is what cabin-dreams are made of. Ignore the glow lights from the pictures if that’s not your thing. We never even had ours on. :)
We loved the many entertaining spaces as well for our group. I couldn’t believe the grandeur of the wrap-around porch and the outdoor fireplace. There’s even the largest outdoor dining I’ve ever seen where we served breakfast each morning—watching the deer and hearing the woods around us wake up was serene.
The hosts were additionally thoughtful with yard games, amazing wifi, high-quality and warm bedding, lux pillows, all the cooking gear you could imagine (there’s even an outdoor griddle in addition to the grill!!), firewood, extra toiletries, laundry detergent, etc … In the current rental market where many hosts seem stingy, ours really wowed us and raised the bar.
Don’t sleep on this one. It’s truly a gem and especially given the price we were blown away.
Thanks to our hosts for a great stay. We look forward to returning for longer!

The place was wonderful! It was Clean and lots of room! We had a plumbing issue but the owners were fantastic by sending help right away! I would recommend this place 10 times over!

This cabin was perfect for our group of 7 friends who wanted a place to relax, connect and have fun! The wrap around porch was incredible and we loved the giant picnic table. Everything was clean, updated and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved the house! It was clean and well maintained. I love that they supplied lots of extras, makeup remover pads, qtips, trash bags, coffee, shampoo, cot, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, so many things!!!!

We had a great family weekend celebrating two birthdays and an anniversary in this large, well-appointed house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook, and we enjoyed evening bonfires outside.

This property was fantastic! We had a family of 5 adults, 5 kids and a purse dog. The property had everything we needed and there was plenty of space for all of us. Enough space to have some distance and be together. The hot tub was a great perk for the kids, as well as the pool table and TMNT game. We really enjoyed being on the deck and the porch swings. It was a blessing to be able to get together and have such a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend!!

This was a beautiful escape for our family. It has everything you could think of and is a beautiful place to recharge. It was only about a 20 minute drive to the state park. The owners were wonderful to work with very receptive to our texts. Highly recommend

Byers Retreat was awesome and great for large families. The pictures posted was exactly how the house appeared. They thought of everything and the communication was really good.

Our family had a mini reunion in Hocking Hills and this cabin was perfect for it! We ate almost every meal on the massive outdoor table, watched an amazing thunderstorm from the porch, went on some hikes, played games, etc. it was only for 2 nights, but we left wishing for longer. The house had all the things we needed and more.

Our adult kids and spouse had a fantastic 4th of July holiday stay! Plenty of space for privacy and hang-out areas and a well stocked kitchen. We spent most of the time on the back porch. The hot tub was great too! I would highly recommend Byers Retreat!

This place was NICE. From the downstairs hangout area, to the wrap around deck, to the fire pit and hot tub area, this place provided ample spaces for my friends and i to enjoy. We had such a wonderful weekend at the Byer’s retreat, made some awesome memories and bonded over friendship (and beers!) definitely recommend booking this place. Had a great trip with my girls. We hiked, enjoyed a wine tour with Mike from Cork and Tap and glass blowed at Jack Pine. Awesome back porch!! We really enjoyed the fact that the whole house was fully stocked with kitchen items as well as games and toiletries . Would love to come back!

We had a great time at the Byers Retreat. We’ve never stayed anywhere that was so well stocked with toiletries, cleaning supplies, basics like coffee, tea, and spices, an abundance of games, and tons of seating and bedding for relaxing. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a care-free getaway.

We stayed here with our 3 kids and 2 dogs. The cabin is beautiful, in great shape, extremely clean, and very well stocked. The owners are quick to respond, very friendly, and made sure we had a perfect stay. The cabin is about 30 minutes from hocking hills state park, but was well worth the drive for how nice it is.

We had an amazing time celebrating my 50th bday! The location is convenient. The cabin is gorgeous and would probably be even more amazing during a warmer season. We didn’t get to utilize all the amenities due to the weather. The cabin is stocked with games, blankets and cleaning supplies. We are excited to rent again for a friend’s 50th. Great house and location in the Hocking Hills area. I was having trouble accessing my emails to open the front door. I tried the ring door bell to no avail, and then I tried to call the property manager and their voicemail was full. Fortunately after about 20 minutes, I was able to open the door once my emails downloaded. Wifi and Internet are very slow in this area.

What a gorgeous cabin, the wrap around porch was great for the little kids to run around on during the rain. The outdoor fireplace is a must for any cabin we loved sitting out by it during the whole time. The large kitchen table was great for game night with everyone:) The hot tub was clean and the outdoor fire pit had great seating no need to bring chairs! We saw deer on the property that was a bonus!! The WiFi & phone service was hard to get but that’s pretty predictable for Hocking Hills. Definitely would recommend for a family vaca :) also wanted to mention there is plenty of outdoor space for the pets, loved having a big yard for them!! Thanks for the memories!! The Miller Family:)

We spent so much time outside under the covered patio in front of the fireplace and gathered around the extra large table with family and friends for a bridal get-together of a lifetime - this cabin was very instrumental in the success of this gathering and oh so relaxing!

Great getaway to unwind without kids before returning to everyday life. The back outdoor living space with the gigantic table provided the perfect setting! The oversized table inside was a great card playing space. The little touches of having spices in the kitchen and toothbrushes in the bathrooms were such a pleasant surprise! Will definitely visit again (whenever we can coordinate 10 busy adult schedules lol)!

We chose this cabin for a guys trip this summer. The host was super accommodating and easy to work with. The cabin was well stocked for all of our needs. The cabin itself was awesome. The only complaint we could possibly have was that the lawn was clearly mowed shortly before our arrival, this made it difficult keeping the cabin clean as the grass must have been pretty tall prior to mowing. The septic system lid must have been hit by the mower because the lid was off/missing causing an unpleasant odor in the area. Luckily the odor stayed in the lawn and didn’t linger to the cabin or porch. At the end of the day we had a great time and would absolutely stay here again.

We love our stay at the Byer’s retreat! The house is stocked with all the kitchen ware, utensils, seasonings, etc you could imagine. We cooked all meals there and had no issue with anything for having great meals. It rained all weekend so we didn’t get to hike, but we still had a ton of fun hanging out in the back deck and in the hot tub. All the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. The instructions and rules are very clear. We’d recommend this property for other groups to stay!

We had an amazing time at Byers Retreat. It was so clean, and had everything we needed. All the little extra touches were perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer better place to stay for the weekend! We will definitely be back!
