Nestled in Moosehead Lake, this charming cottage for $137 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. With the shores of Moosehead Lake only 20 feet away, you'll have a vacation to Maine's North Woods that you'll remember for a lifetime. This lakefront home enjoys majestic views of Lily Bay and the surrounding woodlands, offering a private dock and mooring, its very own grassy lawn and pebble beach, and a firepit where you can gather to watch the sunset each evening. In this wonderfully serene setting, you'll have a back deck that runs the length of the house, a private washer/dryer to refresh your swimsuits, and an open first-floor living space where you can prepare homemade meals and watch movies at night. This peaceful, private home is located directly on the eastern shores of Moosehead Lake, allowing you to swim, kayak, and fish all summer, and return each winter to ice-fish and go snowmobiling on the local network of trails. You'll be four miles north of Lily Bay State Park, which is home to a sandy swimming beach, a playground, two boat ramps, and a two-mile walking trail along the shore. Spend your days hiking, looking for passing moose, and teeing off at the famous Mt. Kineo Golf Course only 30 miles northwest. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. At this time only two of the three twin beds in the loft are available. Guests do not have access to the garage, but there is ample parking for three cars. If you're visiting with a larger group, A-Frame on the Shore is right next door. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Dock details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

It was a nice location & view. Ample room in the home.

Came up with my sister (who is visiting from out west) and my 2 youngest kiddos. This property was just perfect for us. Cozy and private. Camp was clean and tidy.. plenty of space for us. Lake views always incredible. Convenient to all the hiking trails we wanted to access. Will definitely plan to come back.

Very nice location! Loved how close to the water it was, very peaceful and relaxing. I spent most of my time outdoors but it did rain one day which forced me inside and the cleanliness of the home wasn’t 5 star. Either rusty pipes or high iron content in the water have stained the toilet and the shower orange and brown which was a bit off putting (I wore shower shoes!) there was also a gap between the sliding back door and the floor so rain water was leaking in and I had to stop it up with towels I had to switch out every few hours. There was also a mouse in the house, I caught it scurrying around a couple times. There was a bit of a learning curve to the thermostat if you’re not used to smart thermostats, instructions would be helpful :) it took me a while to remove the holds and preset schedules so I could make it warmer on the cold rainy day. The wifi is also not up to streaming caliber just as a warning, you can surf the web and do simple things but you cannot stream a video it just doesn’t have the bandwidth. I tried resetting the router and everything but if I tried to watch a video it would get pixelated and freeze almost instantly.
That being said I still had a great stay! It really is an amazing location and a great price. I would book again!!

Lovely location in well equipped, kid friendly home. Screen door needs new track. Having beach towels available would have been a nice added touch. A heads up about the need to purchase drinking water would have been helpful. Overall, though, I am ready to book the same home for next year!

Lakeshore Lovely
I really enjoyed my stay here. Beautiful views of the lake. The home was very comfortably furnished and perfectly sized for one person. Some first floor windows were non-functional, probably needing new latches. The kitchen was fully and completely equipped, a plus! The bed in the downstairs bedroom was firm and comfy, and the house was spotlessly clean upon arrival. I've rented many different places in the area, this is the first one I'll come back to!

Lakeside lovely in the fall
Beautiful! Cabin was warm and cozy, very clean and very well stocked with essentials and games. The view from the deck was breathtaking! There was a dock out onto the lake that was great for birdwatching. Would comfortably sleep 2 couples and 3 kids. Highly recommended!

Ran into issues with slow WiFi & didn’t seem the Dish was working so tried watching a movie on Netflix & it kept stopping. Fortunately we had good weather, books & games so we didn’t really need the TV. The shower was another challenge with finding the hot water & then it would get extremely hot then would drop to cold if you turned down the lever.
Overall a great spot but cabin amenities need some attention.
