Nestled in Dewey Beach, this lovely cottage for $704 per night is a great option for your next vacation. A's by the Beach, a popular all-season vacation rental, is the most charming beach cottage in the north end of Dewey Beach, nested in the quiet Carolina St. Located on the ocean block, the home is only 100 steps from the most beautiful beach of the East Coast. Situated between Rehoboth and Dewey downtowns and a quick walk to either town, its restaurants, bars & shops. The home is spaciously laid out to accommodate up to 6 adults & 4 children or a maximum of 8 adults & 4 cars off street The single story home features a living area that runs the width of the house surrounded on three sides by windows that bring in lots of light and the sound of the majestic Atlantic. The home boasts a very large and fully equipped kitchen, spacious separate dining room, three bedrooms and 2 full baths. There are 2 queen rooms, a large bunk room with two bunk beds (each is a twin over full) and two day beds that double as sitting areas (one in the living area and one on the screen porch). There is also a queen size sleeper sofa in the living area. The large screened porch is an extension of the living area and a must to enjoy the fabulous ocean breeze and the sound of the surf. It features a bar table, chairs along with a comfy seating for lounging after a day at the beach. The spacious backyard offers an enclosed but open-to-the-sky outside shower, a gas grill and an outdoor dining table on the lovely private lawn. Although you don't need to leave A's by the Beach, the restaurants and nightlife of downtown Dewey Beach are just a short walk on the south side. The Jolly trolley at the end of the street takes you north and is just two blocks from Rehoboth's sparkling Silver Lake and a very short ride to all the shops, restaurants and nightlife of Rehoboth. If you prefer walking, it is a scenic 15 minute walk or you can catch the beginning of the boardwalk through the beach. Conveniently located on the north end of Dewey Beach and off route 1, A's by the Beach is nested in the quiet Carolina St. Carolina St has a beach access and the home is 100 steps away from it. Please feel free to contact us directly for any specific booking situation such as minimum nights, number of occupants, number of pets.... we are always willing to see how we can best accommodate your family trip! A's by the Beach has a minimum age requirement. All adult members of your party must be 25 or older unless they are children traveling as part of a family group. Every guest must be registered and verified on your reservation. We have a strict no party or gathering policy. Guest must sign Rental Agreement and provide Government ID. Summer Rental Information - Please note that during the summer months (first week of July to Labor Day), we require a 7 nights minimum, booking from Saturday to Saturday. Reservations that are not made from Saturday to Saturday will be cancelled. We do NOT provide Linen & Terry during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). We can connect you with a rental agency if needed. We supply start up necessary paper amenities (toilet paper rolls, paper towels, tissue paper). Based on your usage habit and your length of stay, you may not have enough and should plan accordingly. Although you have access to the entire home, there is one owner closet that is not accessible to guests and is located in the bunk beds bedroom. Your arrival (and departure) is fully contactless. You will be provided with detailed check-in instructions the afternoon prior to your arrival including a code and/or mobile app to enter the home. We are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is entirely up to you. We are only a phone call/message away and will respond usually within minutes during extended business hours. During the overnight, we probably wont get back to you until early the next morning. If there is a life-threatening emergency, please contact 911 and then call us and leave us a voicemail. We reserve the right to stop by the property at anytime but will give you at least 4 hours notice except in case of emergency. There are 3 cameras located on the outside of the home for the safety of our guests. One on the front porch looking at the front door and one on the back porch looking at the backyard and one monitoring the driveway. Those are used for security purpose only. Any recording is automatically deleted after 30 days. Third Party Reservations (Guest not occupying the home) are strictly forbidden and again any channel policy (airbnb, VRBO, booking...). The guest who made the reservation must be an active occupant of the home for the entire duration of the reservation. Unauthorized guests will be removed from the property and the reservation will be immediately canceled. No refund will be provided regardless of the cancellation policy.

Location, location, location! Steps away from the beach without any busy roads to cross, this house was perfect! Our dogs stayed cool on the screened in porch while we played on the beach. Kitchen was fully stocked and backyard grill was perfect for easy dinners. Communication with hosts was easy, and the hosts were very responsive to a minor issue on checkin with resolution within 10 minutes! Definitely will stay here again!

I spent the weekend at this property on two separate occasions. It has many fine qualities including the basics that are expected - fully equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, nice layout, etc. However, there are three other amenities that are understated: 1) The location of the property is amazing. It's a half mile walk via the beach to the Rehoboth Boardwalk. I took that walk and then jogged the boardwalk each morning. By way of the road, it's a nice walk (extremely wide berm) and then through the quaint neighborhoods - so either way works for a nice walk. The other direction takes you to the cute little town of Dewey beach.
2). The forgotten mile of beach between Rehoboth and Dewey provides a stretch of unpopulated beach that puts in mind of being further away from Rehoboth and Dewey - very peaceful.
3). The back yard is amazing for both pets and grilling. Very private, conveniently accessed (unlike many beach access properties). It's another way to enjoy time as a family. While I grilled, the pups and kids play and my husband sat at the table so we could talk. An extra backup tank of propane warmed my heart (lol). I often grill for my family.
This little cottage offers a ton of convenience and it's amazing location makes it a must-do for us next year! Enjoy!

My husband and I stayed in this house for a weekend getaway. We were visiting friends that had moved to Lewes Delaware. Initially, when booking this trip the dog friendly house caught my attention, as we were going to be traveling with our yorkie. We are campers and our yorkie goes everywhere with us. However, the night before my son came home and watched our yorkie. So it ended up being just my husband and I. So dog friendly home. Very clean and neat! Extremely close to the beach, which we didn’t get a chance to do. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who wanted to be close to the beach or just visit friends like we did. Everything, we could have needed was there. Beautiful screened in porch and yard, we didn’t use, but it’s there and we could’ve.

Perfect spot to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. Easy access to the beach (as well as getting onto the beach) and so close to downtown Rehoboth. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Easy communication with our hosts and they responded quickly. Our pups had a great time on the screened in porch and in the yard. I'd love to come back when its not winter! A+

We LOVED our stay! This beautiful home is nestled in a cute seaside neighborhood steps from the beach. Gorgeous sunrises! And close enough to restaurants in both Rehoboth and Bethany beaches. Enjoy a large kitchen and primary bedroom suite. The screened in porch provided another lounging place to hear the waves.

This is a cute beach cottage just steps from the path to the beach with a nice screened porch and backyard ideal for kids and pets. It's a short drive to many restaurants in Lewes and Rehoboth as well as to John Waples playground. The arrival information sent information was not entirely current (unfortunately the nearby local market is no longer open.) We've stayed at countless vacation rentals and never have had to make up the beds ourselves (versus stripping beds when leaving, which we always do). Beds already made is preferable as we arrived with children then had to put sheets on all the beds ourselves. We realized an hour after checking out that we'd left something of our daughter's in the fridge and contacted the owners to inquire how we could retrieve it, they initially responded they'd check with the cleaners then never followed up, which was disappointing.

The location of A's by the Beach is perfect. It is just steps to the beach with a wonderful matted pathway thru the brush which opens to a beautiful beach area. We had our dogs and my granddaughter with us and the home was very comfortable for hanging out and playing games. The porch and backyard are super. The yard is just big enough and nicely enclosed. Also plenty of parking at the house! Thank you!! We'll be back :)

Excellent location! We were able to enjoy the sunrise/sunset at the beach, and campfire at the beach because of the proximity to the beach. We were there during Labor day weekend therefore it was super expensive. My only complaint was that the owner did not provide blankets and sheets. We had to carry our sheets, blankets, and beach towels (which was somewhat inconvenient). Other than that, the property was small but good for 2 small families.

Location of the property was amazing. Just a few houses from the beach. Rehoboth and Dewey shops and restaurants are all within about a mile. The host was very responsive, and everything went smoothly.

Fantastic Beach Week
The “blue” house was a great home for our week at the beach. It was the perfect location for our young family as it made beach days really convenient. No need to worry if we forgot anything or had to head back for nap time.
Our young sons loved the bunk bed room! The screened in porch was an added bonus room for playtime and relaxing. We loved the private outdoor shower and having a washer and dryer on site. The beds were all very comfortable as well.
We could easily head out and walk to Downtown Dewey in minutes. The Jolly Trolley also picks up around the corner making trips into Rehoboth super easy as well. Plenty of room for parking at the house too.
The only down side was a lack in storage space for extra food as there was no pantry.
An oversight on our end was that we forgot to pack bed linens! However we notified the owners and they very quickly got us in touch with a local rental company who accommodated us within an hour!
Overall we loved our stay! Would highly recommend.

Great Family spot with easy access to both Dewey and Rehoboth
This house is great for 2 couples with some kids -- the bunk room even has a TV if the adults and kids can't agree on what to watch on TV. But you really shouldn't spend much time watching TV. The beach is just a couple houses down, and if you like meeting dogs, you'll definitely get your chance to meet some dogs. Due to the layout of the streets in this neighborhood, it's not a high-traffic area, so the walk over to the beach is easy and leisurely with kids and dogs.
Have a dog? There's room for a dog crate in the living room.
Plan to cook in instead of eating out? The kitchen can handle several cooks, and there's a gas grill in the back yard. There's enough hardware in the kitchen to get you by, so overall, it's great space to feed the family.
There is a large covered screened-in patio that is perfect for a breezy day.
Rehoboth is a mile away without having to hit Costal Highway, and Dewey is also essentially "right there" as you decide the style of day you want to have. It's a great location. Our family plans on looking at this location first the next time we book the Dewey Beach area.

Steps from the ocean!! We had a great time staying here, there was plenty of room to spread out while we worked on some crafts. The best part is being steps from the ocean, took a walk to the beach each day. Also very close to restaurants, but a very quiet neighborhood.

Great even at 20 degrees!
We stayed in January when it was 20 degrees! Still had a fabulius time. Had a small snaffu with getting the door lock link but Robert and Kelly were extremely responsive (even though they were out of the country). Great kitchen. Showers had hot water forever. Want to stay again when it's maybe a little warmer....even in 20 degrees we took the 30 second walk to the beach.

There is now a statement on the listing that "There are 3 cameras located on the outside of the home for the safety of our guests. One on the front porch looking at the front door and one on the back porch looking at the backyard and one monitoring the driveway. Those are used for security purpose only. Any recording is automatically deleted after 30 days." When we made the reservation, this statement was not there or we would not have stayed at this house. The camera on the front porch that they say is pointed at the front door appears to be positioned so that it records some or all of the screened in porch area. The homeowners claim they don't monitor it, but within minutes of the time we put a towel over the camera, they told us to remove it. They claim this is because of "liabilty," which is nonsense. They claim putting a towel over the camera makes it trigger every minute or so. This is nonsense. Why don't they just turn it off? Same problem with camera pointing at back yard. Do you really want someone monitoring/videoing you whenever you're in the yard? They claim they don't view these videos and then delete them after 30 days, but that's not good enough for me. When we're on vacation, there is no reason to agree that someone can record us, regardless of what they do with the recordings.The house has lots of other minor issues. The listing claims there is an icemaker. There is not. When we got there, the dishwasher was running, but there was no dishwasher detergent, so are we to believe they just happened to use the last of it? Bottles of laundry detergent were all empty. Carpeting in screened in porch should be replaced. But we could have lived with those types of minor issues, especially as the house has a good location, steps from a very nice beach. But having strangers taking video recordings of us while we're on vacation just because they promise not to look at them is unacceptable.
