Stay in the garden level of an historic Victorian mansion in the heart of Jim Thorpe. Built in the 1850s, the "Judge Allen Craig" mansion features a sunny enclosed porch surrounded by the panoramic view of West Broadway and the mountains, with French doors opening into the spacious living room. The large dining room that comfortably seats 8-10 is adjoined by a cozy breakfast room near the kitchen. The home easily accommodates up to 10 people, with 5 bedrooms and 2 baths. (For more space, inquire about our second floor Balcony Level, https://www.vrbo.com/2203717, which has a large, newly updated kitchen, and three bedrooms that sleep up to 10). Extra air mattress, pack-n-play and toddler gate are available on site. Off-street parking is available for up to 4 cars. We have a back yard and patio with two grills, a fire pit, and a new bike rack.

This is a spectacular property. The location could not be better! The house is wonderfully decorated and really comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are nicely appointed. When you step out the front door you are in the heart of all of the best parts of Jim Thorpe. We could walk to shops and restaurants— everything!
We can’t say enough about how great this spot is! And the hosts are wonderful!!

Walking Jim Thorpe both day and night is delightful. Great shopping. Kids loved riding Santa train.

This home is beautiful, well-appointed, spacious and immaculately clean. We had plenty of room to spread out with the five private bedrooms. The bathrooms were modern and sparkling clean. The dining room table was a great place to play games. The living room and sun porch were great places to gather. Perhaps best of all was the location, which was right in town. We were able to walk everywhere. Liza was a great host, responsive and helpful. Her husband Brian was doing some work on the outside of the home, and he was also very helpful with suggestions on where to go. Overall, we have no complaints and would not hesitate to recommend this home. Thank you, Liza and Brian!

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Great location within walking distance of downtown Jim Thorpe, shops, and restaurants. Clean and comfortable. Loved the patio fire pit at night. We went whitewater rafting and did the treetop adventure at Blue Mountain. The host, Liza, is very responsive to any needs you may have. Highly recommend.

This house was perfect to host a girls' weekend away to celebrate the bride! We had 9 girls with plenty of room to host bachelorette weekend. The kitchen was fully equipped with a large dining to host. There were plenty of seats for a comfy night in. We would definitely rent again!

This is my 4th year renting the beautifully restored Judge Allen Craig Mansion with a group of friends for the Jim Thorpe Running Festival weekend. We’ve been renting both the first and second floor and it’s plenty of room for 14-16 people. The downstairs dining room nicely accommodates all of us for dinner, and the upstairs patio has an amazing view and is a perfect spot to hang out at night. It’s a well furnished, spacious, and well maintained property and we love seeing the little updates and upgrades every year as it continues to get even better. We’re already looking forward to our 2024 trip and talk about how much we love this house that we have a wait list of friends that want to join us if anyone in the regular group can’t make it 😊

I cannot say enough things about Liza and her house. If you want a true Jim Thorpe experience then this is it!! The house is spacious and beautiful and has so much history!
We stay here every year for a weekend of four couples catching up. We never feel on top of each other and the house is huge! We park and walk the whole weekend as it is literally in the main town but still quiet enough in the house you do not really hear the outside. We love having morning coffee in the front sunroom and conversation at night in the huge dining area. The house is always so clean as well and the decor is Jim Thorpe to a T! And Liza is so responsive in answering any questions!'

The location was within walking distances of restaurants, shops & activities (trails, train, etc). The mansion was beautifully decorated with lots of room for the 7 of us. The cleanliness & availability of everything needed for an enjoyable weekend was excellent. The off-road parking was a bit tricky to navigate as the upper level gravel parking is a bit steep.
Communication with our host Liza was top-notch, as she responded immediately to our every concern.

Our daughter was married at nearby Gravers Farm and this wonderful home in Jim Thorpe served us perfectly for hosting the comings and goings of our loved ones.
Well stocked with everything we needed to make our guests comfortable - wonderful linens, china, tea and coffee service, and much more.
The owners did everything they could to anticipate and accommodate our needs. Communication was smooth and pleasant.
Our 4-day wedding weekend was spectacular and this stay enabled us to create many warm memories to last a lifetime. We couldn’t be happier.

This was the 32nd year of our annual sister get together and our first visit to Jim Thorpe. We have stayed at many wonderful places and now the JAC Mansion is one of our favorites. It is immaculate and well appointed. The location is fantastic. We parked our car on arrival and didn't need it until our departure.

Best location and an amazing home! The home was all at once vintage and updated— lots of interesting art and decor, but updated bathrooms and kitchen! We loved the large dining room table and the available board games were a nice touch. Great location for exploring the town. Walkable to everything!

The mansion was as described in the listing. Very well kept and furnished for the period of the home. Also, you could see the care the homeowners have been taking to refresh the property. Liza was responsive to any questions we had. The property was within walking distance to a variety of shops, restaurants, and other activities.
Our family has stayed in the Poconos numerous times over the past several years but this was our first stay in Jim Thorpe. We took advantage of opportunities to go wastewater rafting, hiking the D&L Trail from Jim Thorpe to Glen Onoko, riding the Lehigh Gorge Railroad, visiting the various shops, and eating. We had a great visit to Jim Thorpe and are very happy to have chosen this property to stay at.

Spacious and immaculate period property in best Jim Thorpe village center location. Comfortable for 10 adults during family reunion. Homeowner is friendly and responsive. Parking is tricky but we made it work and appreciated it! 5 star stay! Highly recommend !!
