Family trip for a wedding, the home was perfect and the Host Shanta, was amazing. So many special touches that made us all feel very welcomed. I have absolutely no complaints, however the kids wished there had been more that one television, lol. I really loved the sun room and the front porch swing. Beds were very comfortable and the thick, thirsty towels were a nice surprise.

When on the search for a suitable vacation property to stay in for a visit with local family in the area, I found this gem of a home that lived up to its photos and description beautifully. Such a lovely property a beautifully cared for, and appropriately updated house that still felt like stepping back in time upon arrival. My family especially fell in love with the sunroom, off of the spaciously updated farmhouse kitchen. Such a relaxing space to sip morning coffee, surrounded by light and lush greenery on all sides. The front porch was a favorite of mine. Sitting on the porch swing, sipping wine in the evening, taking in the quiet sounds of the garden fountain. Just heaven. Our hosts were so attentive to our arrival and departure needs, they left us welcome snacks and gave the home a personal touch that really made us feel welcome. They clearly love the house and want everyone who stays there to feel at home and enjoy all the house and property have to offer. Our favorite moment was when we arrived and a majestic hawk was taking an afternoon sip from the front garden fountain, welcoming us to this special home. Would highly recommend The Savannah House, it was such a special and memorable experience and the perfect property for our family to gather in together and enjoy.

I highly recommend this cute, clean, romantic house to stay while in Brooksville. We stayed for our wedding with a couple friends and our baby. It was in perfect location to our venue, they had baby things out for us ready to go, and all the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!

If I could give this home a 5++ rating I would. It is gracious and comfortable. The owners have created a garden oasis for peaceful relaxation. Its 3 porches all have comfortable furniture and fans. Although the season (Feb) we stayed we didn’t notice any bugs, even if present, 2 porches were screened including the entire width of the house off the center hallway on the 2nd floor. In addition to the LR, kitchen and dining area, there is a lovely all weather sun room to savor one’s morning coffee. The home was immaculate. The kitchen is better equipped than most year round homes. Altho the age of the house is vintage, everything is newly redone. There are plenty of places for recharging devices, appliances, outdoor gas grill, countertops, HVAC and plumbing new. The 1st floor has an en-suite bath off the bedroom in addition to a powder room. A 2nd flr BR was big enough for a King bed, and although the bath was across the hall, without a couple in the 3rd BR (or if children were in it) privacy was not an issue. The beds, multiple couches and chairs were all very comfortable. There were many light fixtures to accommodate readers in each room. The owners were very thoughtful with all the hangers in closets, stocked cooking spices, food storage containers, baking items and a very generous welcoming basket of goodies upon our arrival. The home is in an old, nice neighborhood, with a brick street but provided off-street parking. Lots of tree canopy and bird feeders make for good birding. It is walking distance to the downtown, it’s courthouse square and restaurants. We rode our bicycles to the trailhead for the “Good Neighbor Trail” which connects to Florida’s famous “Withlacoochee Rail Trail”. We only wished we had used this as our base in FL and stayed longer!

Southern Charm Getaway
The house had all the old southern charm but all the modern amenities. The hosts thought of everything you could need or want. The linens and towels were fresh and new. The house was super comfortable - great bright kitchen with all the necessities; a great sunroom for sitting and discussing what happened the night before; a larger living room and two amazing porches. Also, we were walking distance from all the shops and restaurants. On top of all that, there was a basket of goodies and a welcome card waiting for us. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. Couldn't ask for more!

Excellent Get Away
This property was absolutely elegant and beautiful. Shanta and Amanda have renewed this 1800s property into the most beautiful cottage that we have ever seen. Every detail in all of the rooms were stupendous and portrayed the history but in a traditional representation. And the comfort of the beds and the entire house was beyond imaginable. Absolutely stunning!
Thank you Shanta and Amanda for a great get away.

Lovely updated home
This is a beautifully renovated older home. Everything was thought out and charming, down to the dishes. We didn't cook much but it looked like it had what we needed. The beds were super comfortable, we wanted to take them home with us. The hosts were great and looked out for us, making sure we would be in before dark to determine if they should leave a light on. There is only one TV, it is in the living room. If you aren't ok with that BYOTV. We will be back!

Our family needed a place to stay for our daughters wedding. This home is absolutely lovely and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We will definitely be staying here again if we ever need a VRBO in the City of Brooksville. The property manager communicated with us in a very timely manner. Thank you!!

Enchanting and Mesmerizing! Our family came to enjoy swimming with the mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs and Manatees at Homosassa springs! This was a great place to slip back in time and relax in tranquility after a full day of excitement with kiddos. My favorite part was sitting on the porch swing enjoying a glass of wine observing the mesmerizing landscape and listening to the water fountain. We will definitely be back!!

Thanksgiving during Covid
We love Brooksville for its location to Withlacoochee for hiking, biking and horses. The Savannah House is a gem. It is a stunning renovation, combining southern traditional with the contemporary. From the generous yard for parking, to the super comfortable beds, lots of hot water in the showers, everything imaginable in the kitchen to the let's-take-a-nap porches. We found not one thing missing. Excellent Wifi. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating that I felt like I knew them forever. We would definitely make a return visit.
