'Good Day Sunshine' is just steps away from beach access without the hassle of traffic. 4 bedrooms makes this house perfect for a family with kids. TOP LEVEL: Living, Dining, Kitchen Area with Sliding Glass Doors to Open Sundeck. Game room with Foosball and Game Table. (No bathroom on this level). LVP flooring throughout the entire 2nd floor. LOWER LEVEL: 4 Bedrooms and 2 Full Bathrooms: (2) Bedrooms with Queen beds sharing a full Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower, (1) Bedroom with a Twin/Twin Bunk Bed as well as another Full Bed & (1) Bedroom with 2 Twins. There is a 2nd full bathroom, with a tub, in the hallway to share. All bedrooms are equipped with a TV. LVP flooring in the hallway. Bedrooms are carpeted. 3 bedrooms have ceiling fans except the bunk bed room. 'Good Day Sunshine!' is beautifully furnished and cozy making you feel right at home. Whether you're watching the dolphins, pelicans, boogie boarders and surfers, or the beautiful sunrises, you will be in total serenity! The beach begins only about 75 feet from the end of your driveway. You will enjoy direct access to one of the best stretches of beach in Nags Head that is less crowded and more private. The cottage is meticulously maintained and cared for by it's owners. Outdoor furniture provided on the upper deck. Central air/heat, dishwasher, washer, dryer, microwave, (5) TVs, Bluetooth Stereo, highchair, baby gate, pack n play, foosball and game table in loft, Hot Tub, sundeck, deck furniture, charcoal grill, enclosed outside shower and foot rinse station. Located just past the 20 Mile Post. 14-50 outlet provided for electric vehicles under the car port (Adapter may be needed depending on plug type). Escape the crowds and the noise you will find near the 'Main Beach Road'. Walk the beach early in the morning to find beautiful sea shells or sea glass. The wide sand beaches of South Nags Head are some of the cleanest beaches on the Outer Banks. Come sit, read a book, sunbathe, or enjoy a meal on our spacious and comfortable sun deck. The Family room has a flat screen TV, board games, stereo, as well as an assortment of books. The Kitchen has plenty of updated cabinets with granite counter tops and has all the modern conveniences of home with a sealed top range, microwave, dishwasher and a refrigerator. There are plenty of cooking utensils and silverware (crockpot, blender, coffee pot, etc). A storage area is located under the house for storage of your beach items as well as some miscellaneous stuff for your use. A foot wash is located adjacent to the stairs. A charcoal grill is located on the ground level. An enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water is located on the ground level. Just at the end of our street is a jogging/bicycle/walking trail that extends for 6 miles along Old Oregon Inlet Road. This concrete multi-use path is excellent for taking an afternoon stroll, biking or rollerblading with the family. There's no busy road to cross to get to the path, so bring your bikes or rent them from one of the local rental companies and have them delivered to the cottage. Fishheads is a great local restaurant and bar at the Fishing Pier, a short bike ride away. Get there at 4pm for Happy Hour and enjoy their 15 cent shrimp and feed the family for cheap!! Outlet shopping located only miles from house. Located in a quiet area with little traffic and uncrowded beaches. Don't forget to be at the docks of Oregon Inlet (10 Minutes away) at 4:00 to watch the charter fleet come in with their fresh catch of the day. During the month of May/June/July they are usually bringing in tuna, dolphin, and wahoo! Book a trip early for your family of fishermen!! Make your plans to stay in this wonderful semi-oceanfront retreat. 'Good Day Sunshine!' is the perfect venue for rest and relaxation. The area is quiet, but located only a couple of minutes from shopping, first-class restaurants, fishing and entertainment. This is a great location for your next summer vacation! Please bring bed and bath linens and toiletries. We supply bed top covers and pillows. Linens and a variety of beach equipment can also be rented via local providers, please ask for references, if interested. We loved the house, it was spacious, very comfortable and close to restaurants and shopping. We especially loved the ocean view. Kelli was very attentive to our needs and responded back to us very quickly. The pumpkin at the door was a great touch!!

View.....fantastic....very nice deck chairs, perfect spot to watch sunrise. Beach wonderful and so close. Kitchen well stocked. Manager was very nice and responsive to one issue we had. Gave the property a 4 star because of old dirty carpet. There are quite a few stairs and older people might find this difficult. No bathroom on upper level which manager did note in discription. Fooseball table was fun to have. One other thing....jack and jill bathroom shower very tight. All in all, very much enjoyed our week at Good Day Sunshine. Thank you

This was a great home with a great location. Sitting on the deck or in the dining area, watching the ocean was a treat. The house was roomy and interestingly decorated. It had all the amenities needed. For the group, the beds were a little hard. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was exactly as described. Kelli was very communicative and easily accessible, although we were lucky enough to not have any issues. The deck furniture is the best! We hope to return next year!

This property is about as oceanfront as they come, and is a short walk over the bridge to the beach. The home is clean, and has everything you need, so you can keep the packing list to a minimum - even with small children!
Kelli (host) is so kind and an excellent communicator! This was our 2nd stay at this property, and we are already looking forward to the next time we can come to the beach and stay here!

We stayed here with our 3 year old and infant! It was a perfect spot... with the convenience of being able to walk right out the front door to the beach, and all of the kids accomodations (beach toys, high chair, pack and play, games.) Beautiful home, amazing location, and lovely host. We are already looking forward to the next time we return!

Great time. The house was perfect and close to the beach. Only draw back was Tropical storn Adallia showed up. We made the best of it and took advantage of all the games the host provided.

Kellie is a wonderful host and her home was just as wonderful! You need for nothing, it's a home away from home. So close to beach, flip-flops not needed. Outdoor shower was my favorite along with the hot tub. Gorgeous sunrises on the deck listening to the sounds of the ocean!

Great beach house, view from porch can't be beat and you are steps from a beautiful beach. Kids and I spent every morning swimming in the waves. Owners are very kind and responsive! Great house for a family vacation, we loved the outside shower for sandy kiddos :)

We had the most wonderful week. Everything about the property was perfectly described in the description and photos, and the size and location were perfect. Easy steps to the beach, with a lifeguard stand just over the steps, and fun hot spots like Fish Heads, Fat Boyz ice cream, and the outlet malls are just a quick drive. We enjoyed running, scootering, and walking on the nearby path. We made good use of the hot tub (cleaned regularly and oh so enjoyable), the hammock was a "hidden" gem, and the kids absolutely loved the chess set, all the board games, and the foosball table (we had to replace a few pieces and Kelli, the owner, was organized down to the detail of having extra replacement pieces "just in case").
The seashells with inspirational messages were another decorative detail that we loved!
Kelli was a pillar of communication with us, alerting us to a minor problem with the ice maker on our first day and taking all the necessary steps to make us perfectly comfortable. She is the kindest host we have encountered in our multiple stays in OBX and paid attention to every detail!
The amenities had everything we needed and another highlight is the large deck with beautiful views of the ocean. Gorgeous!!
I hope we can make it back to this perfect and beautiful home!

This was the perfect location (beachfront & town) for our family vacation! We could watch the ocean waves from the deck, walk across the dune to the beach, and ride bikes to the local pier restaurant. The house is just a short drive to many other activities that we did and more cute towns. Our boys had a great time and Kelly was so kind to check in and super responsive! We will be back!

This cottage is the perfect location to walk out to the beach. Beach area is not near hotels and condos so there is never a crowd. Life guard stand is high in front of this property. Owners are very responsive. We have been coming to this property for 13 years and love it!!

This property is great for a family or group up to 8 or 9. The close beach access over the dune is perfect for older or physically challenged individuals. The owner responded quickly to text messages. The only minor issue was spotty/weak wifi in the house - almost non-existent on the deck. The property is well maintained.

What a jewel! Sitting on the deck watching those waves was so relaxing! We had such a wonderful time. The location was perfect - steps away from the beach and a quiet neighborhood. The hot tub at the end of the day was also pretty great. Thank you!

Totally stocked with lots of kitchen stuff, really helped us. Comfy beds, we’ve slept in bad ones but these are good. Having two bathrooms was nice.

Manteo isn’t to far, and Nags Head restaurants, etc is about a 10 minute drive. It’s pretty far south MP20 however we loved it.
Lighthouse isn’t to far, great to see it up close.

Off-season trip turned out to be a blessing. House was perfect, close proximity to the beach. Great time and comfortable, son is deploying after first of the year and it was a joy to spend some time with him and his brother.

Amazing ocean views from the deck and upstairs living area. Sunrises are great from either! Just a few feet from the beach access and a well stocked kitchen to boot! A prime spot in a less busy part of the Outer Banks that is everything you need for a restful getaway.

Sometimes you rent an ocean front property and the dune is so big you can't even see the water. The view here is beautiful, and the walk to the beach is so easy. The deck was such a nice place to hang out with my family, lots of comfy furniture and a pretty outdoor area rug that made it feel homey. The kitchen had every tool and utensil and pan you will ever need. We made pasta, burgers, and cooked up some of the fish that we caught! The owner couldn't be more attentive. We will be back

We were thrilled with the property! The whole family (4 kids & an aunt) stayed at the same house in 2000. This trip just my wife and I. The house is equally accommodating for a family or a couple. It is updated inside and out. Attractively decorated. Current furniture and appliances. Well stocked, including beach items.
The house isn't beachfront, but may as well be. We enjoyed sunrises from the deck and the short stroll over the dunes to the beach. The deck has pub-like seats and tables and we spent many a pre-dinner happy hour there. The house is in less crowded South Nags Head. From there we had short trips north to the Wright Memorial, Jockey's Ridge, and restaurants, and south to the National Seashore. All in all, a great Outer Banks vacation.

Great location!
This place is such a close walk to the beach that you can run back to the house to make sandwiches, grab drinks or whatever! That means that you don't have to haul a whole days' worth of stuff out to the beach! There were plenty of chairs, and the house was well stocked with previous renters paying it forward by leaving TP and other needed items. All we had to do some restocking. There were seasonings in the cupboard and a well-stocked kitchen for cooking if you don't want to do the restaurant thing. Kelli was amazing with easy communication and working with us on an adjusted check-in time. We made some great memories on our vacation! All and all I would highly recommend renting this home if you want to say in Nags Head.

My favorite place in Nags Head
My family and I had a wonderful time! The sand was not terribly hot during our stay so we could just walk out of the house with no shoes on. Beach chairs and boogie boards slung over our shoulders. Cooler in hand and we were on the beach! Being from the Midwest and slightly intimidated by the ocean it was soooo nice to have a life guard posted right when you hit the sand. They have a chalkboard telling you the temp, water temp, high/low tide times and rip tide warnings if needed. Then once you wonder back to the house it has a great place to rinse off your feet. Hose to rinse off your chairs/boogie boards. Then relax in a chair or hammock while you waited for the outdoor shower. The views of the ocean from the house were awesome with very nice patio furniture. Kelli checked in with us during our stay which was very nice to see if we needed anything. We hope to stay here again soon!
