This was a great place for us to stay while making our first trip into the Smokies. We are small town people so appreciated the much slower and quieter pace of Townsend as compared to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. We came with no children so weren't too interested in all the attractions that those towns offer. We just wanted to see the National Park and do some hiking. This spot allowed us to do that. The condo was somewhat centrally located to the most popular sites in the park but it's a very big park so there is a fair amount of driving depending on what you want to see. The condo was a little tired looking from the outside but rest assured, the inside is very clean and well taken care of. We very much enjoyed out time there.

I came to Townsend so I would be close to the entrance of the park and the selected areas where 20 nationally known invited plein air artists were scheduled to paint. Being an artist myself, this was a perfect getaway: painting some myself, watching the invited artists, volunteering for the Friends of the Smokies, and making new friends. My husband and I have stayed here many times. We love to hear the river from the back balconies and sit with a mug of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at the end of the day. The beds are extremely comfortable and I have no trouble getting a good night's sleep. We plan to return soon to do some hiking.

It was our first time to the GSMNP. A friend suggested we stay in Townsend and we were so happy we did. Our condo was super clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would book this place again without hesitation.

The condo was perfect! Clean, nicely decorated, comfortable bed and furniture. Kitchen has everything you need. The rocking chairs on both balconies are the oerfect touch. Evenings sitting on the balcony watching the river were so relaxing! This would be perfect for two couples, or two adults wanting separatebedrooms, or a small family. The two bedrooms, each with thier own bathroom are both very nice, and then the half bath downstairs is very convenient.

Went to Townsend on a family trip. Love the condo, we went tubing and visited Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge. Love staying in Townsend because it’s so quiet and no crowds. Will definitely rent this place again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Riveredge in Townsend. The condo was very clean and comfortable for 4 people. We enjoyed the river view from the balconies, and all of the amenities which made our stay comfortable. Townsend is an ideal small and quiet town to stay in if you want to visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I recommend this Vrbo experience to everyone, especially those looking for a quiet place to relax.

Loved our stay! The property was very clean. Loved having balconies that overlooked the river. The owner was very responsive to questions before and during the stay. Says it sleeps 6, but we had 5 and one chose to sleep on an air mattress. Fording 6 in beds would be a challenge unless they were small children. Our kids are teens/preteens and tall, so that was a small issue for us. Overall, a wonderful stay!

What an incredible stay! This condo is everything it looks to be and more. Appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay while visiting Townsend and the surrounding area. As a one time holiday rental owner myself, I highly recommend this unit at Riveredge! Watching the delighted people tubing the river was an added bonus to hours of tranquility on the balcony.

The condo was great . Beds were comfy, the balcony offered amazing views and peacefulness ! We even met the couple downstairs we were the sweetest . Told us about the bear rescue in town and you can follow their Facebook page . We had a great time . Wendy was available to answer or comment back to use when we messaged her .

Everything about this place was wonderful. First of all, the owner was super organized and communicative through the entire process. The condo as well appointed, and very clean. Instructions were clear, concise, and easily found throughout. The location, the view from the back deck of the river, communication, cleanliness, amenities, and more. I would definitely recommend this owner and condo to anyone whether they were looking for a place to crash after hiking or exploring the area or whether they wanted just a quiet time indoors. This condo is close to the national park, tubing, grocery, restaurants, beautiful mountain views, and it’s not far from Knoxville if you wanted to experience a larger city in the same trip.

This is our second year to stay here and plan to book again for next year. The unit is located on the river in a quiet complex within walking distance of restaurants, shops, museums and the bike trails. Everything is clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend it this unit.

This is the most comfortable home we have rented to date. The owners were so thoughtful in their furnishings — easy to just sit back and relax. And the view! We left the patio door in the bedroom open over night and slept to the sound of the river. Loved our stay in this home.

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Great location in a great little town. Super clean place, great view of the little pond/stream. Had everything we needed! The couch needs to be replaced as the cushions are very worn but I wouldn’t let that stop you from staying here! Would totally stay here again! Thanks Wendy!
