Located in Reading, this attractive house for $174 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Come rest easy in this nicely decorated home in the city, with views of Reading's iconic Pagoda right out the front windows! This home was built in the early 1900's, and has been lovingly restored. On the first floor you will find a living room with a comfy sofa and chairs and also a dining table that seats four. There is a smart TV in this room that is loaded with many of the popular apps, but no cable TV. On your way to the kitchen is the full bath. (there is an extra 1/2 bathroom in the basement.) The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a quick meal. There is a sit up bar for two were you can sit and sip your coffee from the Keurig coffee machine. Upstairs you will find the main bedroom at the front of the house featuring a dresser and a queen sized bed. There is a walk through bedroom leading to the attic. The walk through bedroom has a single bed and the attic has two single beds. This home is in the city, so expect the normal sounds of city living. The main bedroom does have a "white noise machine" in case you are not used to city sounds.

We came to Reading from Pittsburgh to see the drag races in mohnton and were very pleasantly surprised with Reading. Our accommodations were great as well! Very clean, close to everything, just all round nice place to stay

This location was wonderful. It was a corner location & had a ton of outdoor room! The inside was lovely & decorated nicely. It was very clean. I assumed there would be shampoo & conditioner (so I didn’t pack any) but they didn’t have any. Which I realized their listing didn’t say they would- so that’s totally on me. Additionally, we were there for 2 days & had 3 adults staying in this location. We ran out of toilet paper the morning of check out. So I recommend bringing some TP too! They provided towels, the shower was nice & handicap friendly. The living room was comfortable & we were able to watch our streaming options on their TV. It was walking distance to some food and we had friends staying at the doubletree, which was also walking distance. We went to a wedding at Stokesey Castle & the Uber was less than $10 with a tip! This location is great!!! Highly recommend!

Matthew and Anita were very accessible. The place is exactly as described and then some! I stay at alot of spots in PA. This is by far my favorite one! I would definitely love to come back again and again! Thank you for sharing your unique home with me!

Perfect stay for my wife and I and 3 girls. VERY CLEAN and organized! Though we were in the heart of the city (coming from living in rural Vermont), we felt very safe. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Would defiantly choose to stay here the next time we are in the area.

We enjoyed the home which was sufficient for our needs. Beautiful and tasteful decor! Had all the essentials we needed. The bed in the main room is a bit too soft for us - but if you prefer softer mattresses, then it will work fine. The host/manager was very prompt to respond to our messages and kindly accommodated our requests. Thank you for the lovely stay!

We were in town for a wedding. This property was good for our family of five for the long weekend. Price was very reasonable considering the cost of hotels in the area. Neighborhood is very much city. We were glad there was a parking spot reserved for us, because parking on the street would have been near impossible. It was mostly quiet for city life. House was very clean and everything easy to find. Accomodations were very comfortable. We appreciated the coffee and easy check in process. This was our first time reserving with VRBO and would consider staying at this property again. Thank you for the great hospitality!

We had a nice time. The property met our needs well. There is a step going down into the kitchen which is sometimes hard to see because of the tile selection. I would change the color of this step for visibility. The only other disadvantage is that the main bath is on a different level than the bedrooms. Off street parking is huge - great asset. We did no cooking, but the kitchen is beautifully done. We enjoyed the obvious affiliation with Fairview Christian School and the references to John 3:16.

Enjoyable stay, no surprises at all. Information presented in listing is 100% accurate. Street noise does exist but in our experience it does quiet down nicely after 10:30-11:00pm. The only small problem was with the parking spot but the owner was quick to reply and it was sorted out very quickly. Thank you for the opportunity to stay here.

With the heads up on the city noises host gives in description I’d say the listing is spotless, situated in an interesting part of town and we’ll priced. We were in town for an event in Oley but spent an afternoon bicycling on the city park trails down around the river. Interesting row housing designs over a huge portion of the city. Now I want to research more of the history of area.

We had a great stay. It was easy to communicate with the host, who would answer our messages in vrbo almost immediately. Very clean space very nice rooms. The only thing I'd suggest for the next group is that if you come during the winter to bring some extra layers because it take a while for the house to warm up. Other than that everything was lovely!
