We booked and they took our payment, a week later I send a email about WiFi, they responded that they should have never made reservations because they are closed in the winter.
They refunded partial payment but they have not cancelled reservation so Vrbo has not paid us back, after numerous calls to Vrbo !
Very disappointed!

Nice cozy cabin for 1 or 2 folk plus a four legged friend or two. Easy access to hiking trails or Highlands, if that is your scene. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the front porch. Picked the hottest weekend of the summer to visit, but still very pleasant. Thank you for sharing your home away from home.

The cabin was amazing. It was cozy and in a great location for the hikes we had planned. We will definitely stay there again. It's close to town yet feels isolated, which is exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon.

We have stayed in several properties in Highlands area over the years and this place tops the list mainly because of the location. Cabin sits right on beautiful horse pasture and pond stocked with little rainbow trout. Short run to downtown Highlands and all the hiking trails your heart desires. The host was right on attending to our few needs.

We loved staying in the cabin with our kids. They enjoyed exploring the large amount of land around the cabin while we sat by the fire pit. We also played with the dogs next door who were all very friendly, and the fed the horses. The trip to town is only about 10-15 minutes up the mountain, and very convenient.

Our third year staying here, always a nice time. The cabin has everything you need. We always enjoy the peace and quiet this cabin offers. You can hike right out the back or meander through the horse pasture looking up at the beautiful mountain rocks. So nice to kick back and unwind.

Nice country cabin. Perfect for a couple.

Nice cabin for our weekend trip. The driveway to the cabin is steep and the terrain is gravel. We were thankful we had our 4 wheel drive truck.

My daughter and I spent three nights at this wonderful cabin and absolutely loved it. The cabin is super clean, cozy and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for a perfect weekend away. The property is just beautiful, with magnificent views and so many peaceful places to walk, sit, and relax. The owners were very kind and helpful, and we loved being greeted by their sweet dogs and seeing their beautiful horses on the property. And the cabin is close to everything -- the quaint downtown area, lots of waterfalls, trails, etc. It really was a perfect weekend. We've stayed at a number of cabins in mountain towns, and this was by far our favorite. We're already looking at our calendars to find a time to return!

To this day they advertise this as a 1 Bedroom when it’s a studio which I would never rent because I have to get up in mornings and work and don’t want my wife disturbed. The owners live on the property so I reached out the minute we arrived and told them we could no stay because it was advertised 1 bedroom. The owner seamed nice and told me her would refund my money. We left and never got out money back and the even kept the cleaning fee because we walked in and walked out. He gave me his word he would return money.

We loved everything about the cabin! The quiet location, the horse pasture, the pond, the deck, owners, etc. Everything was perfect for us!

This is our second time staying at the cabin and we had a fantastic time despite some rainy days. Our dog loved exploring the property and nearby trails like Secret Falls. It was nice to unwind and have coffee on the front porch each morning. Be sure to check out the stars at night!

Cute funky cabin but some aspects of this place may not be for everyone. Here are some of items we wish we had known about:
- very low water pressure - shower pressure very weak
- poor A/C. Get's warm during the day
- very steep gravel driveway with parking on a steep angle. Walking the dog or taking the trash out is a bit of a chore on this driveway. Also, getting in/out of car and loading, etc.
- there is no view from the house or deck contrary to the listing. Heavily wooded. The deck view is basically of the gravel driveway unless you are there in winter with no leaves. The mountain and stream shown are a bit of a walk to get to.
- Neighbor has 6 dogs that run over every time you walk your dog. Not a great situation even though their dogs are not aggressive.
- The owner discourages use of the internet so no streaming, downloading, etc. Just checking email. That was not made clear so don't plan on a working vacation in this place. Also internet is slow.
- No TV but I think that is mentioned in the listing. There is a TV set but no satellite or cable or streaming. Just DVD's.
- The lighting in the cabin is not great. The shaded lamps have very low wattage bulbs so the place is pretty dark at night. If you turn on the LED ceiling fixtures, they are in-your-face bright and not pleasant. So no happy medium with lighting. You cannot really comfortably read a book while seated or in bed unless it's on an iPad or something backlit.

Beautiful cabin and surrounding property. Fishing on site and lots of exploring. We brought our dogs for the long weekend. The host was so accommodating in making sure our dogs were not out at the same time, as we have one dog not friendly to others. So enjoyed our stay! Will definitely revisit!

Beautiful Location in Horse Cove
Rustic cabin located on private drive in scenic cove. The views on the property are breathtaking, and the owners were very accommodating. My husband really enjoyed petting the horses (our dog had a more skeptical attitude). The driveway would be rough getting in and out of without a four-wheel drive. It was unseasonably hot when we were there, and the air conditioning is not really set up for extreme heat. The cabin is plenty big enough for two adults. Brought fishing pole but did not fish in the pond because the grass around it was pretty high and not conducive to lazily fishing/hanging out by the pond. Cell service is sketchy (but is sketchy any place not in town!). Beautiful road to walk on/take pictures of the gorgeous scenery! If you are a suburbanite, city or apartment dweller, you will love this beautiful slice of nature!

Nice and quiet, really cool cabin.
This cabin was a nice place to unwind and do a little writing.
And a great value as well.
Just be aware the driveway is pain to navigate as it is straight up and loose rocks. There is a pull over at the top and you need to get a good running start at it and pull in to the left. Then it isn't too bad coming back down.
The only other issue we encountered was the WIFI is a hot spot and you are deep in a canyon so the signal was weak most the time and our cell phones had very weak signals.
We arrived later than we wanted due to holiday traffic.
The owners son came out and helped us unload the car. Very nice.
Their dogs were very friendly and our dog really enjoyed them too.
There are horses (Horse Cove) and a beautiful little lake and expansive mountain scene.
Be sure to make a trip to Secret Falls. Well worth the effort.
At Rich Gap road there is a pull over and a 400 year old Poplar tree just off the road. See it too.
The Highlands was a short drive back up the mountain.
This area is a lot more secluded and quiet that the other sides of the mountain. So you will really enjoy that.
Thank you for being great hosts.

We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary at the Highlands and this was a great place to stay. Quite and comfortable would be the two words to describe the cabin. Will stay there again!

Quite cabin on the farm was perfect for our weekend in the area. We really needed a dog friendly home and appreciated the hosts being accommodating and the property and resident pups being so friendly. Cute cabin on a beautiful property! It is tricky navigating to the property and up the hill, so be extra aware entering and exiting the property.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway for Thanksgiving, this cabin did not disappoint! The cabin was so cute and cozy, the property with pond was gorgeous. We had our dog with us that became quick friends with the owner's dogs, he had a blast! We went hiking near the property and really enjoyed that. The pond is stocked with trout, just wish we would have had time to fish in it. The host Robby was awesome and let us have access to their whole property and we even got to meet and pet their beautiful Belgian draft horses! We will definitely be back!

Rated 10 out of 5 stars!!!! Wow! From the first exciting moment we booked the cabin for our getaway, until we sadly told the horses (our welcome committee) goodbye when we left, we had the best time! It was a great, peace filled, cabin nestled in the woods overlooking a beautiful pasture, with a pond and horses. Absolutely amazing! There were nearby waterfalls and great hiking trails. Minutes from the Higjlands, where the shopping and restaurants were plentiful. All local! The Cabin was minutes away from whatever we wanted to do! Robbie, the host, was gracious and kind. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! It was perfect! Highly recommend this Cabin experience!

Lovely setting. Great for honeymoon or anyone wanting peace and quiet. Prefect space if you have a golden doodle. Bring a radio cause there is no tv or anything on sight. Driveway is steep so if older or disabled this is not for you.
