About this cabin rental
Beautiful scenic cabin with a homey and cozy feeling with spectacular views of Pikes Peak. Located in Woodland Park in nature and wild life in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Through the high ceiling windows you can see Pikes Peak while in all common spaces and from the masters suit deck. Large deck in the first level to sit and enjoy the stars at night in the quiet serene of nature. Be ready to say hello to deers. Fenced back yard for kids to play with their pets or just run around. The space The masters suite has a canopy bed for couples to enjoy during their time there. Also included is a telescope to view Pikes Peak while in the house. Less than ten minutes drive from Charis Bible College. The Woodland Park Aquatic Center is less than five minutes away. Guest access Everything in the house is available to our guest. Other things to note We love pets but we are mindful of other guest with allergies. So we have a no pets on the beds/sofa beds/sofas policy. The property is a non smoking property.

Friends - We don’t usually post reviews of our stays. We are going to make an exception this time. I won’t go into details about the 90s thread bare décor, the beautiful mountain views we couldn't see from the living room because the blinds didn’t work in the multistory windows, or the batteries we had to supply for the tv remotes and smoke detectors (!) oh- and the two broken humidifiers. No, let’s focus on the first impression. We showed up to find a 200 foot drive way at an EXTREMELY steep incline that was half covered with ice, not snow (which we could have easily dealt with). The owner, it appears, had not plowed the snow in quite some time, just running over it with a 4-wheel drive vehicle and turning it to ice. We were stuck at the bottom of this hill and had to carry all our belongings up this treacherous drive. My husband fell twice, and my daughter could barely stay upright. My husband and I are mid 50s, in great shape,and we used 200 lbs of salt, and 4 days of multi hour sessions of cracking the 3” thick ice to clear the drive. We had called VRBO who was of no assistance- they suggested we work it out with the owner. Ha. The owner told us it was Christmas, and we could just move out if we didn’t like it (!) Where would we go? It was December 23rd! My friends, this one is a non-starter. The only positive was the incredible view. It was amazing. But, not enough to convince us to ever return.

The house was absolutely gorgeous and the views were amazing

The driveway was steep(we were informed about it, and the placement of camera on back deck by hot tub was awkward so we didn’t get in. But other than that, it was the perfect place. Weather was nice, scenery was absolutely nice! Close to town.

Weekend getaway
What a beautiful place to stay for a short weekend getaway! The view of Pikes Peak from the deck was amazing- especially in the early morning and the place is located right between Canon City and Colorado Springs. Would definitely recommend!

we had a great time at this cabin. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond. Didn’t know about the lack of A/C but with the windows open, the cool breeze was just fine. The drive way was quite steep and took some adjusting to ascend without scraping the cars. Overall, we had a great time and the house was perfect for our group. Thank you!
