About this house rental
We bought the beach home at the end of 2020 and did an extensive remodel and upgrade in 2021. It has been an awesome experience to meet and host all of our wonderful guests since the remodel completion in May 2021. We are thrilled to know that our guests from both VRBO and Air B and B have been enjoying our beach home and loved their stay at our beach home! The house is in a perfect location, about a 30-second walk to the bay and about one-minute walk to the beach/Pacific Ocean. Guests can enjoy boogie boarding, body surfing, and swimming in the ocean or just enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunset on the beach. Guests can also enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding at the tranquil bay. There are miles-long paths on both the ocean side and bayside for biking and walking/jogging. Many convenient bikes and surfing shops near our beach home with very reasonable prices to rent hourly or daily. We provide boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a big wagon, and beach toys for kids. If you are coming in the winter and still like to spend the evening on the beach, there are firepit rentals. It's inexpensive to rent and the company would set everything up per your request. The house has a large floor plan with three levels. Each level has its own bedroom and bathroom that will give guests space and privacy. The huge master bedroom is on the 3rd floor with a king bed, one full bed, and one twin bed to accommodate a family of 4 or 5 plus 2 Pack & Play for babies or toddlers. Two baby gates are provided for the children's protection for the two stairways. One Queen bed on both the first and second floors. Besides 3 bedrooms, we also have a leather queen sleeper sofa/bed in the living room on the 2nd floor and 2 new memory foam sleeping mattresses to add flexibility for extra guests. We offer smart TV with a gold TV package that provides movies on all three level of the home. The house has a 2 car garage and washer/dryer on the first floor plus a great outdoor patio, BBQ, and a seating area for 12 people plus an outdoor dining table. Keyless check-in & check-out. New codes for each stay. There are many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance including children's favorite Belmont Park. There are also all kinds of stores nearby including Ralph's grocery store with underground parking, it's only 0.5 miles away from our beach home. Our home is also very close to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, downtown San Diego, Balboa Park, and many other fun places that San Diego has to offer. Please know we normally book from Sat. to Sat. ( 7 nights minimum) from June to August except we occasionally accommodate some special occasions such as family reunions, birthdays, or wedding guests. Please contact me if you have a special event and need to adjust the weekly rental a bit, I will do my best to accommodate you. We are flexible from the month of Sep through May. We also offer a great discount if you book 28 days or more from Sep to May. If you book 31 days, there will be no San Diego city tax which is 10.5% by law since 31 days would be considered long-term rental. Our family is looking forward to welcoming you to our beach home! This house was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. The location is great, easy access to beach, shops and restaurants. Communication with Jing was prompt and very detailed oriented. Kitchen was fully stocked plus plenty of extra bedding. We will definitely be returning!

What a great house and location! You can see the bay from multiple windows/balconies and you are steps away from great restaurants and coffee shops. Our host was fantastic and so easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this listing to anyone visiting San Diego! Thank you!

Perfect for our family reunion (three generations). The property is clean, and has everything you might need or want. The kitchen is fully stocked with good cookware and kitchen tools. Beach toys and chairs, and a wagon to get them to the beach. Can walk to the grocery store and haul groceries home in the wagon. Plenty of kids' books and toys - the kids were well entertained. Jing is a very attentive host - checks in often to see if you need anything else. A++

Myself and six of my friends stayed here and it was absolutely perfect! The set up was nice, having a bathroom on each level. The host, Jing, was very accommodating and his communication was exceptional. Super easy check in and check out process. The location is absolutely perfect, within walking distance to many coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. Our favorite breakfast spot was a place called Molly’s. Super short walk to the bay side and ocean side which made for easy sunrise and sunset viewing and walks along the boardwalk. I would definitely stay here again!

Jing was a terrific host! Great communication throughout the entire process from booking till checkout. She was very accommodating during our stay and even welcomed us with a batch of delicious cookies at the house. The property is beautiful with many amenities and is in walking distance to the beach, restaurants and activities. Would definitely recommend staying here and would be happy to book another stay at this property again.

We had such a wonderful time stay at this beach house. The owners hospitality and kindness is unmatched! Was so kind and communication was so fast. We all were so impressed with all the beach supplies that were there that we could use. Our grandkids has a BLAST with them! I truly feel so lucky that we found this property and I hope to stay there again! As my granddaughter put it "This place is AWESOME!"

We enjoyed everything about this property during our 3 night stay. The owner was available to communicate and help us, even when arriving around 10:00 at night. The home was furnished with everything that we needed in order to relax during our beach visits. We would highly recommend this property to anyone staying in the area…and would certainly stay here again if we end up back in Southern California. The highest review goes to the owner for their communication, assistance, and preparation of the property. 5+ stars!!!

Great long weekend at the beach! House was wonderful, host was awesome - made sure we had enough beach towels and chairs (boogie boards too). Walking distance to the bay and the beach and some great restaurants. All in all and fabulous stay.

Our stay was at the end of a trip down the coast. The house was perfect - close to the beach for relaxation before heading home. Jing was in touch with us on the day of our arrival and was very helpful - providing details to make our check-in and stay uncomplicated! The house was perfect for 3 couples!

This house is so beautiful, clean, steps to the beach and places to eat, it comes with a gourmet kitchen stocked to cook for a large family and lovely plastic items for a picnic on the beach. Has a big BBQ with propane and beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, for everyone! The owner Jing is so lovely and friendly, she had freshly baked cookies for us and is the best hostess ever! We were here for my niece’s wedding and it was so nice to have a beautiful house to stay is with my sister, husband, and nephew, I would definitely stay here again and I would give it a 10 hands down!

I enjoyed my stay in Mission Beach. It was an efficient check in and Jing was personable and easy to get a hold of. The place was clean and well stocked for fun and relaxation. I enjoyed the central location and both the easy access to the ocean and the bay and really enjoyed the bike rides. I highly recommend this property and will be returning soon.

The property was exactly as listed and the owner was incredibly gracious and checked in frequently to make sure everything was going smoothly. The owner went above and beyond providing cookies and a box of chocolates for a birthday celebration.
The location was perfectly nestled between the bay and oceanside of mission beach. Would stay there again!

My family of 5 had an amazing week in Jing’s beach house. I reserved the house in January for an August week and Jing immediately welcomed me via email. She’s very warm, kind and communicative. We had a long travel day from Massachusetts and arrived late at night to find fresh baked treats on the kitchen table. The house was stocked with everything we could need including shampoo, soap and conditioner. Everything was super clean and very family friendly. The beach chairs, boogie boards and beach umbrellas were like new. The beach and bay are super close and there were lots of restaurants within walking distance. I can’t say enough about Jing’s hospitality and we will definitely stay again if we come back to San Diego.

My family and I had a short but sweet trip to mission Beach in San Diego! The weather was just so right for all of the excitement and emotions we had the days we stayed meaning nothing but GOOD VIBES! Jing was an awesome and very on point with his hospitality! He knew we were coming for a short stay but wanted to make us feel very welcomed and he succeeded! He made sure that our family had all we needed for the beach while we were there. He made sure to suggest restaurants we had never been to and made sure that if we needed anything from the grocery stores where they were and how far! All were literally in walking distance! If you can get a chance to stay on his property I would highly suggest him! He communicated with us and was very prompt with his responses if we had any questions. His place literally had everything a home needed. All we needed was just a few groceries for the short stay we were there. Great views , neighbors were friendly, family friendly but best of all an awesome host! Couldn’t have asked for our first time renting a beach home the experience was amazing! Thank you Jing for being so great we appreciate you! We will definitely have to have another trip that way on your property!

We had a brief stay at this property, but wish it had been longer. The home was beautifully decorated and had everything we could possibly need. And, Jing was a pleasure to deal with. It's not a house for someone who can't do stairs, but if you are able, this house is top notch.

We really enjoyed our three nights at Jing’s rental. It was clean and one of the best stocked VRBOs we have stayed in.
Our two families of 4 all had lots of space to spread out. We enjoyed drinks on the sunny patio, cooked great meals - and the kids took the boogie boards to play in the waves. The house is perfectly located with a two minute walk to the beach and lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
We appreciated the double garage - it fit out two intermediate sized rental cars with only a few inches to spare. I think parking in that neighborhood would be a nightmare without a garage.
Jing was a gracious host. Fresh baked cookies were a welcome surprise. She checked in frequently to make sure we didn’t need anything and had settled in well.
We were lucky to find this place and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again if we were in San Diego.

Jing was very attentive from the moment I booked the house. Upon arrival my family was so happy with the choice, the house was so fresh and clean! My husband kept commenting how thoughtfully stocked it was. Location was awesome to either bay or beach, walkable to many fun coffee shops, juice bars, restaurants, and the grocery store. I will not hesitate to book this Mission Beach gem again!

We’ve stayed at Mission Bay for quite a few years. As the family has grown We’ve needed more space. This was perfect for our growing family. The bedrooms on different floors were good for the separate families. The location was perfect and very quiet. Jing was the perfect hostess. Very sweet and accommodating. We definitely recommend and will be back.

Location is perfect for beach and bay. Walkable food and coffee. Amazing property manager/owner. Communication was top notch. Very easy to work with. Hot cookies at arrival. Checks in via text to see how our stay is going. Even helped us find a company to set up a fire pit on the beach. Bedding is clean and so comfortable. We will be back. Thank you Jing.

The house is located a short walk between the beach and the bay. Plenty of beach toys, umbrellas and chairs were available. The house was well- stocked with everything we needed. And lots of restaurants near by. Our host, Jing, was quick to respond and extremely helpful. We can't wait to return.

We staid here for a night with our 2-year old. The place had engaging toys for our daughter, which is a big plus. It was a short walk to the beach and good local restaurants. The place was comfortable and the towels were really soft.

We had three generations with us and still had room to spare! The host is absolutely phenomenal and helps with much more than required. From recommendations to accommodations and providing things in the house such as shampoo, conditioner, coffee, etc she was incredibly helpful and responsive. The house is beautiful and kids, parents and grandparents all had a wonderful time. The house is also walking distance to the bay and beach which was a big hit.

Check in was a breeze! Jing was VERY communicative with my family and I. She reached out prior to our stay, made sure we didn’t need anything during our stay, and even contacted me to ensure a safe journey home. When we got there, the home was very clean (which means a lot to my family and I) and were welcomed with homemade cookies. They were a big hit seeing we made the long travel from CT. The house is large enough for everyone to have their own space as well as gather together to play games and enjoy family dinner. The location of the house gives you the best of both worlds. You have short walks to the beach and the bay. We made a lot of great memories!

We had a short bit amazing stay at Jing's house. Everything that we could possibly need was available, everything was very clean and it was exactly what we were looking for. Our party included various age ranges and it was all perfect. I'm already looking forward to our next trip.

Perfect beach stay for families!
Our host was so communicative! She left fresh cookies which was a huge hit with the 7 kids after travels. Our crew included two families- 4 adults and 7 kids. The children all shared the top floor bedroom which was amazing. Each couple took one of the smaller bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. There are 2 beaches within short distance. One is about a 90 second walk, the other is less than 5 minutes. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Communication with the host is responsive, and the photos that posted on the list is accurate.
The weather wasn’t great during the one night we stayed in but the property did saved the day. Everything from the room, kitchen utensils, towels, bed, etc is superb. I definitely felt that the host spent a lot of effort in this property to make guests happy and satisfied.

Pure Perfection!
The house was in the perfect location and the perfect size for me and my immediate family. We were in town for my sister’s wedding and the rental was within walking distance to both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding venue. Not to mention very close to eateries, but we cooked most of our stay. Which brings me to the kitchen. So open and large enough to have us all milling about during meal times.
There is a bedroom and bathroom on each of the levels with the common areas, like kitchen and living room, on the second floor. Each bedroom is equipped with an ample sized TV, but we hardly had time to watch since we were always at the bay or beach!
The hostess, Jing, is an absolute delight. Not only were we greeted with cookies upon our arrival; she also connected me with a hairstylist on super short notice. She is very responsive and appreciated our feedback.
Should we ever be back with another large party, we’ll be certain to use Jing’s rental again!
