Loved staying at the B and B with English tea and biscuits, warm and welcoming hostess, and an extremely comfortable bed all immaculately clean. Toasty and warm in the winter evenings but not too hot at night. Note: shoes allowed in the house. Slippers recommended.

Beautiful getaway!
Beautiful getaway!
Heidi was very accommodating and the house was well-appointed. Snacks, tea, and coffee bar were much appreciated. The bed and claw foot tub were a Dream. We loved the reading parlor with classical music and fireplace the most, which is not pictured here but is amazing!! Thank you Heidi & Paul! We’ll be back.

Such a delight!
Such a delight!
My husband and I regrettably only got to spend one night at the Book Lovers Inn, but it was a delightful one! We had a party to attend in Salisbury, MD and this was a quick 15min trip down the road from it. Heidi was a wonderful host who welcomed us and showed us all around her lovely B&B upon our arrival. She has a wonderfully stocked cafe with tea, water and snacks available any time of day which we gratefully took advantage of! The room, and really the entire home was in pristine condition. Not a dust bunny in sight! We stayed in the Jane Austen room and I loved the claw foot tub which was accompanied by complimentary bath salts and foams! The room was large and the bed and linens were so cozy and comfortable. All the little personal touches were so thoughtful! Most notable were the makeup remover wipes offered in the bathroom, the assortment of tea in the cafe and the gluten-free snack she had waiting for us when we arrived. There was also a complimentary basket of English goodies which my husband helped himself to! Her breakfast was delicious and she went through hoops to ensure my meal met all of my arduous dietary restrictions! My husband loved the “English breakfast” she made him and in fact duplicated it for himself the morning after we arrived home! I cannot say enough about this place. We will certainly recommend it to others and plan to go back soon for (hopefully) a longer stay!

This is a lovely, comfortable victorian home, with wonderful hosts.
This is a lovely, comfortable victorian home, with wonderful hosts.
We stayed here for 4 days in late summer, and found it to be as pretty as it looks in the photos. The house is beautifully decorated, immaculate, and comfortable. The rooms don't have televisions, but there is a reading room with books and a large screen TV. Best of all, the hosts are warm and engaging people and make you feel at home. Heidi cooks an English delicious breakfast when requested and provides snacks and coffee or tea otherwise. I would recommend this property to visitors who want a quiet spot from which to explore the eastern shore of Maryland and Virginia.
