Nice location, especially if you stay in the winter for skiing. Place was clean, but very outdated. Beds were comfortable and towels were nice. Carpet was very old and buckling everywhere, our one year old grand baby tripped several times on the uneven floor. Fridge leaked and we could not get hot water from the kitchen faucet, made it very hard to clean dishes. We asked for an early check in but were told they could not accommodate but would let us know if it became available earlier. We didn’t hear from them but when we arrived 10 min before check in we could not get in, lock would not work until exactly 4:00. We landed at 10:00am with two little kids that needed naps( which we had told them, thus the request for early check in)at 3:50 it was clearly ready and unoccupied so we were disappointed and it seemed very petty to not allow entry 10 min early. Overall don’t think we would stay again.

The property was very nice, we had 4 adults and 8 children and all fit very well. Had a problem with a bathtub not draining well but was taken care of very quickly. The fridge leaked water from underneath, unfortunately it never got taken care of. But overall the place is really nice.

We were so grateful to get this rentsl so quickly due to a previous reservation that was canceled on us last min. However we had to wait all day with stuff in our car to check-in. But other than that the house was perfect for our family vacation.

The rental itself was nice. There was no backyard! And the parking was very tight! The freezer kept leaking water underneath, even after they came and repaired it. There were also lots of ants coming in the cracks of the kitchen counter.

Great location at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon allowing easy access to ski resorts and Salt Lake Valley. Very clean. Nice master bed/bath suite. Loved the ping pong/pool table and in-law suite on lower level. Very kid friendly (i.e. few knick-knacks for them to break). Only downside to this unit is the inclined driveway, which makes getting in and out a bit of a challenge.

My family and my sisters family stayed here for a week. We really enjoyed our stay at this property, as the kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. The dining table is sturdy, and the eight chairs are comfortable and sturdy. Ditto for the 4 barstools. The gas fireplace is wonderful to have as is the seating area in the main hall. The kids enjoyed the play room downstairs, and all the various games. The only issue that we noted, was the inconsistent water temperature and pressure, the almost non-functioning light in the master closet, and the rickety bunkbeds. The oversized washer and dryer was much appreciated, and the extra pods as well. We had trouble with the internet, but it didn’t phase us since we used our hot spots.
Overall, I really enjoyed this property and would stay here again.

The kitchen place mats, frying pans and glass cups were dirty. I cleaned them before i left. The parking area was very small. We could barely fit 2 cars and a truck there. Other then that i think it was a very nice place.

This ended up being a great spot for a family get together. The rooms were large enough and plentiful enough that we could be all together or in smaller groups for various activities. Kitchen was well stocked, the ping pong/pool table was a hit, and we loved the park close by. Parking was fine, but the extra parking is a ways away. The downstairs bedroom was pretty cold. My only suggestion would be a deep clean to remove all of the fingerprints around doors and light switches. Highly recommend!

Awesome space well worth the price!
We rented this property and one other in cottonwood heights for our wrestling team! The property was wonderful and allowed us enough space for our team to be comfortable!

Overall, we were happy with our stay at Cottonwood Shadows. Space was as described and plenty roomy for our needs. House is in a neighborhood that was convenient to get to ski resorts fairly quickly and lots of options for groceries, ski rental, restaurants within 10-15 min drive.
Pros: Nice, quiet neighborhood. Large, roomy home, gas fireplace, dishwasher/laundry was convenient. Kitchen had pretty much everything we could need for cooking in. Garage available for storing ski gear. Pool table nice extra.
Cons: TV remote wouldn't turn on TV...didn't get that working until our last night but was nice to take a break from screen time. Ants present near kitchen between sink and patio door. Not sure what they could do about that but definitely knocked down our thoughts on the place. House is starting to show its age a bit but we kind of expected that based off of photos.

Pros: The vacation home was amazing! The photos are an accurate representation of the home: super clean and spacious so there was more than enough room for 5 of us. Wish we had more friends and family join us to enjoy the space! The kitchen had everything we needed from coffee filters to a wine opener and a wide variety of pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Also, plenty of plates, cups, and bowls!
There was enough towels for all of us, but maybe not for a full house. The restrooms were stocked with small shampoo & conditioner bottles plus soap bars. Our stay was for 5 days, so not quite enough but that’s okay because we brought our own. The house was also stocked with detergent & and dish washer tabs (enough for one wash a day).
Beds and linens were comfortable & we all slept well! Well, except for the friend in the basement who moved to the bunk bed room on the third night (see below for why).
Great location! We visited Solitude and Brighton and the drive was less than an easy 30 min.
Cons: The “basement” bedroom is cold. Also, because the room is technically underground, whoever sleeps in this room can hear every house creek and crack and every water drip. It might be difficult for a light sleeper to get a good nights rest. Also, the pillows need a good wash.
If more than one person is taking a shower, the water changes from hot to cold. Suggest everyone time their showers appropriately.
The bunk bed room has a funky smell. My kids didn’t notice, but I did. Maybe it just needs an air freshener.
Summary: we are so happy with the vacation home! It was always pleasant to end a long day of snowboarding in a very comfortable, warm, and homey space. Thanks to whoever put this home together! Truly a home away from home!

You are only minutes away from these locations and maybe 40 minutes to Park City and Deer Valley. House was clean and layout was good for 5 friends on annual ski trip to Utah. There is a Smith's grocery store about 1 mile away also may restaurants within a few miles.
Kitchen was well equipped with plates, silverware, and all the necessary cooking stuff. Garage is small, we barely fit 2 mid size SUV's in, but a large SUV or PU will not fit. Driveway is short and very steep, so parking on it can be a problem. Bedrooms are nice, except bedroom in basement had no heat source except a couple of ceiling ducts...was kind of chilly down there. Really could use electric baseboard heaters. There was an issue with the hot water. While taking shower water could go from warm to cold to scalding hot and then back. You needed to be careful. They may need shower temperature control values.
As a general comment for all rental properties that cater to skiers, they need more hangers, wall hooks and drying racks. After a day on the slopes we usually have damp clothes that need to be hung to dry!

Kitchen is very well stocked! Ski areas all very close as is a grocery store. The communication with the management company was also excellent. This property was perfect for a little weekend getaway. The house had everything we needed and was pretty clean. The only cons were it was a little warm (thermostat couldn’t be turned below 72) and we killed 5 spiders in the house. Overall, would stay again!
