Also on the main floor are a bedroom with queen bed and doors to the deck, a sleeping area with a kid sized bunk bed and a full bath. Upstairs is a bedroom, with doors going out onto a private balcony, with king bed and a trundle day bed and a second bath. There is even a telescope handy for watching the night skies. This house features a large porch for watching the beautiful New Mexico sunsets with a propane grill for cooking your favorite foods. Nice long weekend get-away
This was a nice place to stay for our long weekend. Quiet neighborhood, fairly private, no neighboring houses right on top of you. Plenty of space for up to 6. Nice deck out front door and a little balcony for the upstairs bedroom. Kitchen was equipped pretty well. Close to some good hiking. A little musty odor upon first entry but go into any house you've never been in and it's going to smell funny to you. The driveway and parking spot are steep and a little tricky to navigate, not for a really low to the ground vehicle. We have a Toyota Sienna minivan and scraped the front bumper a little coming out and trying to turn back to the right. Figured out the best way to park was to come from the other direction then be pointed toward town to leave that way. There is no WIFI but the cell coverage was adequate and we used one of our phones as a hotspot which allowed us to use our laptop and tablets. There were some lightbulbs out but we just moved a couple around to where we needed. Our son said the bunk beds are a little uncomfortable as the mattresses are thin and the supports would press into his back or side. We weren't using the trundle bed upstairs so on the last night we brought down the lower mattress and put it on the bunk and he slept much better. The bed upstairs looked suspiciously like the sheets had not been changed. There was a (one) hair on a pillow case and the sheets had that wrinkled slept in look to them. We're not big complainers, we just roll with the punches. Stripped the bed and found the clean linens and changed them out. Communication with the manager was very good, no problems with check-in. We arrived after hours and they made sure we could get in. No problem recommending this place for a quiet, outdoors get-away. If you're the kind of person who sends back their burger because they left off the pickles, might not be for you.

It was not communicated that the power was scheduled to be off during day and the refrigerator did not work and no one answered the phone .

I didn't usually give negative comments in the past, but I hope these comments help property management and owner, and more importantly the future visitors:
Let me start with Cons:
1. The communication via SMS or emails usually took days to get responses from management company before the trip , And most of answers were "not sure" because they don't know the details of the property.
2. Plates, pans, sofa, and dining chairs required us to re-clean because they were all filled with dust, And in this current covid environment, I'd have expected more precautions to prevent the spread of covid. Also, why were we forced to pay a cleaning fee when the cabin wasn't even clean when we walked in? We who cleaned the property should be paid, shouldn't we? ;-)
3. Damp towels in the dryer, and they were not totally dry. It turned out that we washed and dried all the towels before we used them.
4. The buck bedroom has no heater so we were required to fit three adults in the upstairs bedroom. We, 4 people, just fit due to insufficient heaters in the winter although this property claimed to contain 8 people.
5. Took 4 to 5 hours to be warm enough to live in. We took the property key at 6PM (after office hours) and walked in the property around 6:15PM. It was extremely cold.
6. Due to our late check-in (6PM), it was extremely dangerous and difficult to navigate the outdoor stairs up and enter the cabin simply because the outside patio light bulb was broken. It was repaired next day after we reported. But should it be inspected by property management or owner before we checked in ?
7. It is extremely weird that the cabin has TVs but no cable or wifi. The description should emphasize no TV service and no wifi.
8. Although each bedroom had its own closets, we were disappointed to find out that stuff were already placed with (anqtigue board games, cd player, guitar with broker strings, etc.) which enforced us to look elsewhere to hang up our clothes.
9. lots of unnecessary items. For instance, 2 or 3 clocks placed on top of fireplace and the shelf next to fireplace, and none of them was running. ;-(
10. No hairdryer like described in vrbo.
11. The price was not cheap for us and was definitely below our expectation.
However, one Pro I had to also mention here. As one of us got sick because of no hair dryer in the sold weather, it was nice that we got 2-night partial refund (no refund for service and tax) after we had to cut the trip shorter (from 4 to 2).

Our large family had a great time cabin was spacious for us. We utilized the kitchen for our cooking. Enough room for all 8 of us to eat and make memories. They even had a Christmas tree set up. Nice little touches like games and extra bedding was much appreciated.

The house was huge. Plenty of room for a large family 6-8 people. It was just the two of us so way more room than we needed but picked it for the decks and fireplace. Lots of deer every morning and evening. So quiet and beautiful. We’ll be back for sure.

Cloudcroft
The cabin is in an excellent location. The furniture and bedding could use some updating. I own a VRBO myself and like to provide lotion shampoo conditioner blow dryer etc. When staying here make sure to bring everything you need. Overall our stay was nice. The view is beautiful!!

Fun location, close to everything
This location was great. Offered enough space for a Father's Day retreat and was close to everything in town. We saw plenty of wildlife (deer and elk came right through the property) and had space to relax. Check In/Out times were different than posted on VRBO but still worked out for our trip. Overall, it was a nice stay in a nice space.
