We had a lovely stay at the ranch house. It worked well for three couples. There was enough space in extra rooms for three people to work while we were there. The house had everything you needed to prepare meals. Outside barbecue was a bonus. The bathrooms and linens were top notch. We were well situated to access the wilderness that we came to see. April was very accommodating and we enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful home with breathtaking views, it had everything we needed for our stay, I would highly recommend this property! We used it as a home base for day trips but could easily have just stayed there and looked at the view! I would stay at this location in the future!

April was fantastic to work with. The home sits high on a hill providing great views. Well appointed and comfortable-perfect location to visit Olympic National Park. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

Perfect place to end our busy days after exploring the area. We loved that the location was close to everything. We enjoyed seeing eagle, elk, deer and humming birds. Would definitely recommend.

Probably worth the expensive fees. The house was fully stocked and had all the amenities needed to make a great family meal. Really enjoyed the grill on the deck and the ping pong in the basement

As soon as you walk in, the views over looking the water are breath taking. After we hiked all day, we walked through the front door to see the pastel color sunset. It was such a pleasant treat as we enjoy our dinner and drinks on the deck.
The house has such a welcoming feel and everything you need to feel right at home. We could not have asked for a more pleasant or perfect place to stay for our trip.
The host was very helpful as well, they did a fantastic job of making sure you have everything you need and you enjoy your time while you’re staying at their property.

Property is fine but owner has their property (used soap bars, toothpaste) intermixed in the cabinets. Combine that with a 450 mysterious fee + $3 a log (seriously?) the place is overpriced and antiseptic.

Wonderful location to tour ONP or ferry to Victoria. House week stocked and very clean. Threat views across to Canada

We loved our stay here! The house and surrounding property are so beautiful! It had everything we needed and more! Location was perfect too. We were able to easily access all the activities we wanted to do, and there is so much to do! We would come back here again for sure. April, the owner, was very responsive and so helpful everytime I had a question.
Perfect experience!

This home is everything and more that it purports to be. We are a group of three couples that enjoys traveling together and this home was just perfect. We all enjoy cooking and the kitchen worked well for us and the spice cupboard is well stocked. We had a great time in the basement game rooms holding round robin tournaments for both pool and ping pong. The highlights of our evenings were cocktail hour on the beautiful veranda overlooking the Straights of Juan de Fuca. The location is terrific, just a few minutes from downtown Port Angeles. We did take the Ferry over to Victoria one day and had a great visit at Buchart Gardens and downtown Victoria. April is a very attentive host. We highly recommend this property.

Very nice home up on the hills overlooking Port Angeles. We really enjoyed the very comfortable conditions as we recovered from riding Hurricane Ridge. Loved sitting on the back deck watching wildlife and both Sunrise and Sunset. Very nice location, quiet and very well maintained.

We loved the location, the views, the birds, the deer, the pool table. The kitchen was very complete.
The mildew odors in the basement should have been resolved before we arrived; it was a little unsettling that we were the ones who had to go out and purchase a dehumidifier. The furniture in the living room needs an upgrade; it was quite uncomfortable.

WONDERFUL PROPERTY AND HOST
Great stay. Our group from Iowa, New York, North Carolina and Tennessee loved it
All are Florida winter friends.

Beautiful home, uncomfortable feelings!
A very lovely home but we felt very uncomfortable before we arrived by the owners demands and rules of our stay. It was difficult for us to enjoy and feel relaxed. We always leave rentals clean, however, We had to start the laundry and tear the beds apart. We have never encountered this before! Our family was gathered from several states due to a death, and we couldn’t even invite other members over for coffee as their “rules” do not allow visitors in their home. Ridiculous!
Our journey from this location took us to a rental in Alaska where we hosted a family gathering of 20 people, with permission, which allowed us a wonderful evening!

Lovely, peaceful, beautiful home with a view!
We loved staying at this lovely home! The beds were amazing. The views of sunrise and sunset were perfection! We would definitely recommend staying here as your home base in the area. We were greeted every morning and evening with a family of deer! We hope to return during the winter time!

Our family stayed at the Mt. Pleasant Garden View Main Ranch house during our vacation to Washington. The house was beautiful, and meticulously clean. The property itself is amazing. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to create a chef-quality meal. Our entire family even played a lively game of ping-pong on the full-size table they had. I gave this house a 5-star review because it's simply gorgeous, and the location is beautiful. However, you should note that the requirements to stay here are almost herculean. The list of house-rules can be daunting. Also, you are in the country...and being in the country has some unavoidable draw-backs. The well-water smells like sulfur, and the septic system is very sensitive. That being said...it's a small price to pay for such a lovely place to stay. The owner is very attentive, and she will gladly answer any questions you have in a quick and timely manner. If you want to hike in Olympic National Park and also stay in a beautiful house...this is the place for you.

The home is beautiful, just as listed. We enjoyed using such a nice kitchen after a lovely day of hiking Sol Duc Falls and Crescent Lake at Olympic National Park. The beds were very comfortable although I’ve never seen beds raised so high. The trouble was that GPS does not recognize the address as being in Port Angeles but took us instead to the same address in Port Ludlow almost an hour away and after waiting 3 hours for the ferry coming from Seattle it made for such a long day we weren’t able to do anything else. When I called April for help she reminded me that she had sent written directions however as a frequent road tripper GPS has always been much easier and safer. Just a word of advice to NOT use your navigational system. The modern world of technology and safety is of no use here, you must go old school and risk safety for reading directions in print. Just a bit of valuable knowledge that will hopefully save YOU some aggravation and time in your day. Another suggestion is to bring your own firewood if you’d like to make a fire Even though there were 2 very large stacks of wood on the property for the wood burning stove in the living room there is an additional charge of $3 per small log. Despite these 2 things the house is comfortable, clean and in close proximity to the national park.

This home is beautiful, very clean, and was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting the Olympic Peninsula. The incredible views were absolutely breathtaking and such a treat. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

The property was just fine, but the issue we had was with the listing. The property and price are listed as a three bedroom and priced at or above other three bedrooms for that area. Nowhere on the main page does it say anything that the posted price is something other than for the three bedrooms. So we booked it only to get an email from the owner stating that they were going to lock one of the other bedrooms. Turns out you need to click on "view more" to uncover the surprise that the posted price is only for one bedroom, not all three. The owner did allow us to cancel, but I didn't have time to search for another house and had to swallow the additional costs. I pointed out the fact to the owner that this bait-and-switch on the price was deceiving and at a minimum she should mention it on the main page. She agreed and said that she would update the posting, but that was a couple months ago and the ad is still the same. I'm not the only one who was burned by this, so please view the "view more" so you know what the real costs will be. On a side note, supposedly the VRBO algorithm does not work correctly and that there is a rule that you need to book a minimum four night stay during a holiday. Though the web site allowed us to book a three night stay, the owner informed us of this rule after we booked making this a double surprise vacation. Hopefully you found this info to be helpful.

Everything you could want and more
What an impeccably designed, decorated, and outfitted home this is! Every detail is attended to with loving precision. It is a joy and privilege to spend a weekend in this lovely home. My wife, her brother and his wife, and I were blessed to choose this home when attending a wedding in Port Angeles. Note that the owner's requirements are exacting, but well worth it. (Inquire about them if you are not inclined to follow rules!) We have rented VRBO homes for nearly 2 decades and none were as fully and thoughtfully outfitted as this home!

The listing is a bit misleading regarding the third bedroom, there is an additional fee for its use.
Overall, the property is simply gorgeous, impeccably appointed, stunning views and super comfortable beds! Plenty of space to spread out for quiet time and also be together for group dinner.
I highly recommend this property!

The house is lovely and the views were beautiful. I'm giving a mixed review because of the rigidity of the owners rules and policies. The five page list of rules had "DO NOT" repeated more than I have ever seen in a rental property. We felt like we could never really relax for fear of breaking a rule, which would result in our not having our deposit returned (we did get our refund),. The clean up process was also more involved than I've experienced in the past. When I inquired if we could check in early, the owner responded that it depended on whether the cleaners were done in time and that there was a $100 an hour fee to check in or out early. I then asked if we could leave our luggage inside out of the way of the cleaner (i.e., a closet) and was told we could leave it outside. I understand not being able to check in early, but I've never had a host refuse a request to leave luggage inside so we could do something nearby without the fear of having our car broken into or having it stolen from outside the house. On the positive side, the host responded quickly to my questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mt. Pleasant Garden View Main Ranch House. The second we walked in we knew the house was special. The view out the front windows over the sea to British Columbia was spectacular. The house was well appointed and had every comfort of home -plus. The house had one of the best stocked kitchens that we have ever experienced and we have stayed at quite a few vacation homes. When we had a small issue with one of the bedrooms being accidently locked the host was over in less than a half hour to open. It was such a great base for our vacation and we enjoyed relaxing at the house and watching the birds after hiking in the park. Would come back again if we come this way again. The only thing I can think of to let people know is that the beds are very high. There are convenient steps up and each side of the bed, but it took a bit to get use to. The beds themselves were super comfy.

Enjoyable stay near Port Angeles
The Mt. Pleasant Ranch house is beautiful and elegantly furnished. The home is located on a hill, close enough to stores and services to be convenient, but remote enough to provide a quiet, rural setting. This was a great base location while visiting Olympic National Park and the Salish Sea.

The pictures do not do this property justice! The house is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and has that mountain cottage feel.
When we walked in the door, we were greeted by an incredible view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Victoria BC, and Mount Baker. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the water each evening from the deck.
The home is super clean. The beds slept well. Though we didn't cook, the kitchen had everything you would need to do so with high end appliances. It also has a washer and dryer. There is a pool table and table tennis available, also.
The home is convenient to Port Angeles and Olympic National Park. Port Angeles has many nice restaurants, like our favorites, 929 Woodfired Grill (the filet is amazing) and Kokopelli Grill. It also has pharmacies and grocery stores.
I cannot say enough about this property. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home and location.

Great house with a great location!
If you are considering renting in the Port Angeles or Sequim area, I highly recommend Mt. Pleasant Garden View Main Ranch House. As soon as you walk through the front door you'll know you made the right choice. Not only does the house have well-appointed furnishings, it also offers a chef's kitchen with high-end appliances, wonderful primary suite, great view deck and two game rooms (billiards and table tennis). April is a wonderful host and very detail-oriented. She accommodated every request and responded promptly to all emails. Thanks for a great stay!
