The location was very convenient to downtown Oak Bluffs and several beaches. The view from the back deck and out the large windows in the living room were great, a beautiful view for sunset. The beds were comfortable and the linens seemed clean. I hate to write anything negative in reviews, but feel it is necessary in this case. The house itself left a lot to be desired. There were many items completely falling apart (bathroom sink, kitchen cabinets, ripped screens, peeling shower walls.) The worst part was the absolutely horrible smell in the kitchen and dining area, it seemed impossible to get rid of even after purchasing room spray, a plug in, and a standalone air freshener. Also, there were constant bugs throughout the house. Half-a-dozen flies upon check-in, large groups of ants in the kitchen and bathroom, gnats, spiders, etc. throughout our stay even though we left doors and windows shut. The kitchen sink kept getting stopped up and not draining which made it impossible to do any kind of dishes. Additionally, when we checked in there were bags of dog poop next to the front door, a used wet towel in the bathroom, beer cans/bottles and loose trash all around the property. We were provided an inaccurate door code upon check-in, and had a long wait to hear from a representative to even get in the house. Additionally, there is no hair dryer in the house which the listing says that there is, there did not seem to be much effort by the Vacasa team to correct this. Ultimately, we had a great time on our trip to Martha's Vineyard, but would not stay here again. I'm sure with more diligent cleaning efforts, and a few updates this will be a great rental in the future.

The pictures truly depict the house. There is a view of the water. It is a nice quiet place to take a relaxing vacation.

Older quaint home That’s halfway between downtown Oak Bluff and downtown Vineyard Haven. The bus stops right in front of the house to take you anywhere on the island and it’s so easy to get to the ferry. somedays we walked to downtown OB and it was not bad at all and we had bikes dropped off at the house for part of our stay. There is a bike path across the street. We brought our car over it was nice to have parking but honestly we ended up just walking/biking most places. Gorgeous views from the back deck perfect for yoga. The kitchen needs some updating but It had everything we needed to cook and there’s a large table on the deck perfect to watch the sunset/fireworks outside

I have stayed at many rental properties. This was by far the worst. Lies in the listing, dirty property. fire pit under water, took three calls to get rid of dead skunk smelling up entire property, stove that has no temperatures on the dial and when you turn it on even low sets off every smoke alarm in the house. Bathroom was a pit, with rusted water heater and failing walls. And despite a message from one VRBO customer service rep to do something to compensate me, nothing was done. I paid a ridiculous amount for four nights of hell.

Our family of 4 ( with 2 young kids) flew from Los Angeles California to visit relatives who have been vacationing in Martha's Vineyard for years. We eagerly anticipated our cute little cottage vacation home 3 night stay but found the following disaster:
Front screen door destroyed
Kitchen stove not functional
Kitchen cabinets falling off hinges
The only bathroom has broken sink handle and toilet that clogs and must use plunger after every use.
One bedroom has door falling off hinges and unable to open or close .
Master bedroom has rickety bedframe that shakes and squeaks so much that every time you roll over in bed you wake yourselves up.
Backyard deck is dirty, disgusting and unusable.
So many cobwebs, insects, spiders, cockroach traps throughout the house that our 10 yr old daughter was scared enough that she couldn't sleep the first night and had to spend other nights at relatives vacation home.
Despite multiple emails and phone calls to the manager and being told that it would be taken care of and someone would come by to inspect, only the stove and sink handle were fixed. 3 days have passed and all other problems still haven't been addressed. Needless to say our vacation plans have been severely altered, we are too embarrassed to have any family members come over and we ourselves want to be in this place as little as possible. We travelled a long way and spent a lot of money for a short vacation that has now revolved around trying to deal with this nightmare home rental. This is certainly the most disappointing, frustrating and most misrepresented vacation rental we have ever had and has not been what we had anticipated for a Martha's Vineyard vacation. If this is what is to be expected from VRBO then this will certainly be the last time we ever use this service.

The price was really attractive and reasonable given the area and time in which we were visiting (middle of July- peak season). And the place was spacious with a large living room and large master bedroom and in a great location (not too far from main shopping center and restaurants in oak bluffs - although it is a bit of a walk if you do that). The deck is also a great addition with a fire pit in the yard. However, the kitchen could be renovated as it has some old appliances, with no dishwasher and not a lot of counter space. They also lock off the master bathroom, and the one bathroom is a bit small for 5-6 people; definitely think having the second bathroom would make it much easier/friendlier. The one bathroom is older and could also use a renovation - new sink faucet and more counter space would make it much more spacious. Overall, great pricing, but I would say you get what you pay for.

Pros
* Spacious for a family of 5-6
* Good floor plan with large living room, master bedroom, and 2 other separate bedrooms
* Big deck oversee scenic wet-land (good for bird watching)
* Convenience location
Cons
* Kitchen needs renovation: old refrig, cabinets, more counter-space
* Bathroom needs renovation: old faucet, more counter-space
* Why locks up master bath? 1 bath is a bit busy for a family of 5-6.

The house was great, awesome porch in the backyard for eating a meal or reading a book. We rented some bikes in OB and it was easy to get around the whole town.
