Overall the space was great and we had a great stay! I would recommend the house. The cleaning was outstanding with one little exception - the restroom vent fan was plugged with lint. Also, we were left 2 rolls of toilet paper for a unit that advertises space for 10 people (we were there for 4 nights). Also, the cleaning directions asked us to run the dishwasher and put all of the dishes away - I use VRBO at least 4X/year and I have never been asked to run the dishwasher, wait, and then put the dishes away. Lastly, I really thought the unit was a stand alone house, but it ended up being one unit out of 2 or 3. It turned out that this wasn't a problem because it was super quiet, but I think VRBO should be required to make this more clean. Sounds way more harsh than it was, but VRBO asked for the review. Thanks, Dan

Hello - Overall the property was as described and functional for our family weekend. However, we had a couple of issues with the general maintenance and the subsequent conversation with the property owner, Andrew, that left us dissatisfied and frustrated. I have re-written this review several times in an effort to keep it short and sweet; but, that endeavor has been difficult. It seemed like our stay was fraught with “firsts” for the property manager. First, check in was rough – totally my fault for not reading the check-in instructions thoroughly and I apologized profusely for the confusion I caused. This was then followed by a broken coffee maker, then a replacement coffee maker that had a broken carafe, a limited supply of towels (6 people on the reservation) and ending with a plugged-up / non-draining bathtub. The bathtub issue was the worst of the issues – the other issues we could deal with. Didn’t like to have to go and get coffee in the AM and didn’t like not having enough towels – but again, we could deal with these things. When the bathtub issue was communicated to Andrew, the property owner, the response led us to feel like the problem was on us, in essence our fault because this had never happened before. My husband ended up fixing the drain, thankfully – with 6 people showering in (1) shower it was really disgusting. The drain was plugged by a piece of plastic and hair – really a simple maintenance issue. I followed up with Andrew after our stay and had a very frank conversation of the turn of events that left us dissatisfied. It felt like a good collaborative conversation and was ended with Andrew pondering how or what he would do to turn our experience around. In fact, he asked if our experience would have been better if he had reached out during our stay with Starbucks or something to that effect and I replied, yes – just to have him realize the issues were an inconvenience and not what he intends as an owner would have been well received by my family. To date I have not heard from him, nor has he responded to my text / voicemail messages. I didn’t want nor thought a complete refund on our stay was warranted. But, from customer service perspective it seemed like the right thing to do was try end our experience on a positive note. I normally would never do a bad review from the issues with our experience; however, Andrew’s lack of communication merits a candid review for any future renters.

The property and set up were nice, comfortable and clean. Unfortunately there was not central AC, however the property manager was very responsive with providing us with portable units for our stay.
