Great home for a weeks in Mystic. Very attentive and responsive owner. Would definitely come back again.

The property fit our needs very well with 5 adults staying at the property. We were able to gather together inside or outside for meals and activities; and the bedroom/bathroom areas were separate to give privacy when needed or wanted. The property had plenty of activities for us to do - kayaking, paddle boarding, outdoor games, indoor games, and a fire pit. The house had everything we needed - extra linens, kitchen ware, etc. And the best thing was the location! It was on the water, quiet, on a private road, and was close to the downtown Mystic activities. Not knowing what to expect, this property exceeded our expectations! The host has thought of everything to make this property feel like your home for your time there.

We went for a long weekend and didn’t want to leave. Our family of 5 had a blast! We loved fishing off the dock, using the kayaks and paddle boards & the proximity to Mystic and other attractions. Looking forward to coming back and staying here again.

What an amazing time we had at this beautiful home. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Everything is new and well cared for and beds are comfortable for all. The location is perfect, close to town but a nice step away for relaxing with the family. I simply can not say enough about this spot. Thank you for sharing your home we will be back again I hope!

Charming house with lots of gathering spaces, way more than two of us needed but we will definitely be back. After years of visiting Mystic we finally found our preferred lodging. Thanks Ronda!

Nicely updated house in a great location with access to the Mystic river. The configuration of the house is a bit odd, with the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms accessed by a circular staircase that was pretty tight for me (I'm 6 ft tall), and the downstairs bedroom also accessed through the laundry room and bathroom. But the Kitchen is great and there are two nice family rooms for hanging out together. And the back deck looks like it would be great in the summer (we were there for Easter weekend and it was still a bit cold out). Overall we had a great time here.

Our family enjoyed this comfortable nicely updated home on Mason Island in Mystic! The open floor-plan on the main level with new kitchen, dining room & a master bedroom., 2 additional bedrooms on different levels and another living room worked well with our family. Host was easy to reach for questions and recommendations.

The property is conveniently located to town. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The house is nicely stocked with linens, etc. The owner was very thoughtful in the items provided. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great experience at this beautiful property. The location was excellent—a close drive to everything in town and easily walkable to MIYC. The house had everything we needed—plenty of space, bright clean rooms, extra linens and towels, a large updated and stocked kitchen, spacious and efficient laundry room, a Keurig :-) We wished our stay was longer so that we could enjoy more of the house itself, the proximity to the water, the grill and deck/outdoor space, etc. The host was wonderful to communicate with—prompt and helpful. We look forward to hopefully staying at On the Mystic again!

Our stay was good. Ronda, the owner was super easy to communicate with and kindly left us a welcome bag. The house is close to the river, and we enjoyed the use of the paddleboard and kayaks. The house itself was just ok. Parts have been updated, like the kitchen, but others haven't. It was well-stocked and the beds were comfy. The a/c didn't seem to work great outside of the main kitchen/living area. It does smell a bit musty when you first walk in and in the basement. Some of the ceiling heights are a bit lower and as we are all tall, we had to be careful.

Our group included two couples and 2 children (7-10yrs). The home upon arrival was clean and the owners generously inquired about our children's age range prior to arrival - leaving age appropriate snacks and lawn games. Additionally, the home included access to a dock with use of fishing rods, kayaks, and paddle board. The neighborhood is quiet, and we enjoyed the backyard view of the water each night. The home is a short walk to the Marina and a quiet restaurant for breakfast. The appliances and cupboards are clean and functional, with plenty of provisions / toiletries provided. We truly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely consider returning again.

Beautiful and peaceful stay!
We absolutely adored staying at this property with my parents and our 2 1/2 year old daughter. The views were gorgeous! The house is beautiful, clean and quiet. It was a pleasure working with Rhonda and we hope to return next summer.

Outstanding, Memorable, and Beautiful!
The property was gorgeous and plenty spacious to host 8-9 people from out of town. Parking was plentiful. The location provided a beautiful view of the river and convenient proximity to shops, restaurants and downtown Mystic.
The home itself was updated, very comfortable, peaceful, bright and extremely well stocked with additional toiletries, linens, towels, kitchen wares, and even firewood .
The owner was very responsive to questions, provided additional information, and even left some goodies for the adults and my son. This was very special. Furthermore, the owner allowed us to arrive the house a couple hours early! This was a huge deal for us. And we were SO grateful.
In short, I consider myself very lucky for having rented this property to celebrate my daughter's USCGA graduation! Thank you again!

I stayed at the property for about a month between November-December. The location is great. It is right on the water, close to town and easy to get around while still feeling remote. There is a great gym (the Y) right down the street, a shop that sells amazing fresh seafood at great prices (Seawell) and a diner in the marina (Kitchen Little) which is less than a 5 minute walk.
Ronda was lovely and very helpful. She left a thoughtful bag of goodies and fresh cut flowers for my arrival. She had great tips on the area and advice on things to do. The house was spotlessly clean and aesthetically modern and beautiful. The kitchen is spacious and is well equipped. Each bedroom has a private full bath. The water access is great and the view is beautiful. The dock is lovely to sit on and there is also a beachy area where you can swim. The house is on a dead end so the street is quiet. The fire pit is a lot of fun. There are kayaks that I'm sure would have been a blast if it was warm enough to go out in them.
There were a few things I wish I knew or might be helpful for others to know:
--The stairs going downstairs as well as the laundry room and bathroom ceiling are quite low. I'm about 5’7” and hit my head on the stairs a few times.
--The layout for the downstairs requires you to go through a bathroom to get to the bedroom. Not a huge deal but I could see someone getting stuck on either side if someone is in the bathroom.
--The downstairs bedroom has a door that goes outside to the driveway. It's great for bringing in luggage but may be something to consider if you're thinking of having kids stay there.
--A few of the windows don't latch to fully lock (though the neighborhood is very safe)
--On the main floor the only bathroom is in the bedroom. It's a huge plus that each bedroom has it's own private bathroom but if you're staying with a group the person in that room either has to be willing to share their bathroom or the others be willing to go up or downstairs.
--This may likely be due to the changing weather while I was there, but there were sounds of critters in the walls in the main room and the downstairs bedroom at night.

I could not hope for better
The house is beautiful. It is 15 minutes or less from everywhere. The owner left us a list of restaurants and attractions in the area and a bag of "in case you forgot something."
We had 8 in our party - from a 2 year old to a 76 year old. We all had a good time. The owner contacted me a few times to see if I had any questions or concerns. There were kayaks if we wanted to use them. We woukd consider going back.

Perfect house and location
Had a wonderful stay with family - husband and three boys 16-17. House was wonderfully appointed - Ronda thought of everything. Fresh cut flowers and a wonderful beach bag filled with goodies were waiting for us when we got there. Took advantage of the kayak and dock every day. Mason's Island is a favorite spot of ours - boys were able to bike all over. Attention to detail was amazing - bedding, linens, all were of the best quality and so cozy. Ronda checked in to make sure the house was all set and to make sure we didn't need anything. I highly recommend renting this house and hope to rent it again myself!
