The environment is peaceful. We enjoyed the game drives and the boat cruise.
The food was definitely not value for money. Same menu everyday 🙄
The room was cleaned but for some reason the chalet/room has cockroaches both big and small.
There were nothing to use in the rooms to protect us from mosquitoes.
The was no phone in the room.
The service was okay, nothing to write home about. First day we waited an hour to even be served drinks, had to stand up and complain because who came after us were served before us.

Game Drive with Louis was great. Informative and eager to find animal sightings for us. Hot water bottle was a warm welcome on our chilly early morning drive.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner selection was great and will meet most requirements.
At our arrival, we were advised that we were in one particular room however the room wasn't yet available and we will be advised that when we can "move" into the room. During lunch, our waiter informed us that we were now moved to another room which was not anything like the initial room we were in. There is no outside patio to sit at and watch the resident animals. We weren't to happy about this.
Breakfast selection: The only issue I experienced is that the waiter was not clear on that fact that we could choose from the cold and hot breakfast selection. By the time we realised we could order from the cold selection, there was no pastries available.

It was pleasant not sure about good value for the money . Both dinner and breakfast food arrived cold ! The restaurant is upstairs and the kitchen is downstairs

The game drives and the rangers were amazing! They are knowledgeable, have tons of dry jokes available and were super passionate about their roles. Andrew, Kyle and Derick were all great!
The hot water bottles were a lovely touch for the cold mornings.
No snacks available to purchase on site.
Would have liked electric blankets or warmer duvets.
Bedding needs an upgrade.

We enjoyed the game drive and that we were given fleece blankets and hot water bottles to keep warm especially for the morning game drives. Loved the boat cruise experience. The cherry on top was my birthday surprise, which made my day extra special.
The fact that the toilet in the room had a stain. I was disappointed that there was no boma fire for us to relax by the bar.
I was also disappointed that I couldn’t have a mimosa for breakfast as the restaurant doesn’t make mimosa’s even for a special occasion. Lastly, the bacon that we had for breakfast was burnt and eggs not cooked according to our requirements.

The animals we saw. The remoteness from city life.
The reception lady was inexperienced and didn’t know a lot of things about how the place functions. Our room with a 2 year old was not ideal for small children. very hazardous with stairs and wooden structures sticking out at the kid’s head level.

Breakfast was delicious! Excellent meal.
We did 2 game drives and saw nothing except buck.
The ranger spent both drives tracking lions that we never saw and we would have been happy to drive around and see other animals. Didn't have to spend both drives looking only for lions. We saw one jackal and the ranger barely stopped to look at it because he thought the lions were near.

loved the bushveld setting with all the comforts . All the staff was friendly and assisted above and beyond what i expected. The rangers have a vast knowledge of the bush and all the animals and i found there information very educational. We stayed in the Barn House in the middle of the bush and had some wonderful sightings from our back door.
It was expensive but you get what you pay for.
