Arrived at the location at about 23:00 in the night, so one of the employees told she's unable to check me in as she was leaving; so I ended up spending the night at the beach after paying the room in full. I also spent 40 euros on taxi, as there weren't buses to portocolom at night; it's a remote location, logistically.

The room is unfortunately extremely badly soundproofed, even with the window closed. On the one hand you can hear the noises from other rooms and on the other hand there is a restaurant directly opposite the hostel with a very loud ventilation system, which runs all day and into the night and is very annoying. During my stay there was also a party next door, which also brought me a restless night. Won't come back again here.

The room was clean and spacious. We had a balcony and that's definitely a plus. It's a great option for a short stay or if you're just passing through. I think it could work for an affordable option for a long stay as well. There are lots of restaurants in the area so that's also accessible.
The breakfast situation is strange. You get breakfast in a restaurant which I assume is owned by the same company and you have a menu to order from. It worked and we didn't starve but since we don't eat meat, we had to slightly adjust it and that ended up being a little adventurous. However, the staff there was friendly and helpful so that compensated it. Also the place doesn't have a reception and that was not mentioned in any message/ description. The check in happens at the restaurant too. Not a big deal, but it would be great to know in advance where to come.

I had originally booked 2 nights however
then needed to cancel the 2nd .
I gave 2 months notice of this and
also tried to sort on arrival .
The refund has still not been given
and communication is useless .
A real shame as the property not bad
but no communication and still no refund
so for this reason I won’t recommend 😩

the location is great
the restaurant , they offered breakfast for a very good price but be aware that you will need lots of patience, the breakfast too forever , it’s less than basic , we waited for 1 hour for a pair of fried eggs . there are other places much nicer than this one to have a great breakfast for less price

I was given a suite as the hotel had muddled bookings. It was a lovely airy room. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Staff in the hotel were mainly very helpful
The air con remote was very complicated and I couldn’t find a YouTube to help me get it going. Then a member of staff helped me. There was no drinking water as the tap never ran cold and only presented a dribble of cloudy warm to hot water. At night you could only get really hot water out of our taps. So we had to buy water for everything including at table. I’m sure you used to be able to drink Mallorquian tap water but we always had to pay for water wherever we went. Also, no effort to recycle; all the rubbish went into the same bin

The restaurant was nice, expensive but nice. The shower water pressure is great.
The room we stayed in looked absolutely nothing like the picture and the picture was actually very misleading. The 8€ breakfast is very expensive for what the breakfast is actually worth. The beach was 25 minutes walking distance away. There was no shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer. Turning on the shower the pressure was very high but it soaked all of the towels in front.

it had an excellent restaurant attached to it.
smelly drains in the bathroom

Spacious, clean, quite. Good selection for breakfast from the menu with some esthetics to every dish.
We had difficulty with the local parking.
To check-in you need to go to the restaurant first, and then be led through the kitchen to the back door, and to the building across.
I had a discount from the website but they didn’t have any note and asked to pay the original price. It took almost half an hour to sort things out. Quite tiring because we arrived late after the whole day of hiking.

Very noisy on Saturday night (club night across the street)

The entrance corridor and room were freshly decorated, contemporary and very clean. Very comfortable beds. The restaurant attached to the hotel was beautiful to look at, although we didn't eat there. Portocolom is a lovely, low-key, peaceful town. A handful of good restaurants overlooking the huge harbour. Great for a wander with a big marina and a lot of lovely buildings, but not at all touristy.
BREAKFAST - Our booking included breakfast, but we were told the restaurant would be having 'technical issues' in the morning and we were given a scrap of paper telling us to go to a cafe a few hundred metres away as they had an arrangement. The cafe was ok, although fairly basic, but they would only give us a coffee and a croissant each, anything else we would have to pay for. We paid for orange juice. Very disappointed.
LOCATION - The accommodation is on a very scruffy back street. We were given a room on the second floor with a balcony opposite the back of a restaurant's noisy, huge and hideous air-con system. We changed for a room at the rear of the hostel - much quieter, although there was a smell of cooking fat every evening wafting up from below.
HOT WATER - it was for a short while, then ran tepid.
